was always going to be a difficult one if you ask me, no one is confirming how they fared which is disappointing, it does not fall to the mods to provide updates so not sure why bets are put up and no confirmation of how many winners etc I still do multiples and just put them in my thread possibly just due to time. Not sure whatever everyone else thinks about this thread?

Re: 2011 Challenge - Multiples target 1000pt return For me its that I rarely have the time. Its quick to post one selectio on BBOTD but having to select more then post here is time consuming. I usually do my bets early before leaving for work so I often have only enough time for one quick post. I think if there are a few that are willing to continue then give it a while longer. I do a L15 online quite often so I am happy to cut and paste them to see how it goes.

For me, I was never a fan but it's each to their own. In my opinion, you shouldn't back in multiples if you're serious about making long term profit. The problem with backing 4 in a Yankee, for example, is that this is 11 bets and 1 loser wipes out 7 bets straight away and a 2nd loser takes away all but 1 of the bets. You could have a 10/1 winner and return nothing, that would really p1ss me off. The argument to this that I often hear is 'yes, but what if you have 3 winners, etc, etc'. Ok, I agree but how often does that happen? It's typical of the betting public to look for that one big win rather than slow & steady burn. Even some of those that concentrate on singles will say 'its just a fun bet to small stakes'. Again, I disagree with those comments as there's no such thing for me as a fun bet. You're risking your hard earned cash and every bet should have full justification before being struck. I don't think we'll ever change this mindset, nor would we want to. But I'll settle with being different and hope that the long term strategy pays off. Good luck to anyone following this, I do hope someone hits a big return soon:ok

I guess people don't confirm bets unless there is a decent return. If you or any others still do multiples surely this where they should go thats part of the reason the thread was put up to cater for these bets wasn't it and the thread needs support to keep it going. I for one don't won't it axed but admit it has been disappointing if it does go i would like to see it replaced with something similar. I know some frown on these type of bets and thats fair enough it ain't everyones cup of tea but it frustrates me enormously that with all the great tipsters in ATR and indeed all sections of the forum that i or anyone for that matter can't come up with an idea to combine selections to get a really big payout imo it would highlight the forum. I do have a few thinks floating about my head and if i could nail it i would run it with my dosh. I need something to get my teeth into as i am starting getting bored of betting for me i need to keep it fresh and exciting .

Decent winner last year at Donnie from 73, therefore current rating looks winnable. Fallon on board for first time. If he can build on that he can take this low grade affair. 4:00 Beverley - Mayan Flight 4/1 See BBOTD thread 8:30 Hamilton - Zennor 5/2 Looks nailed on to be suited by this step up in trip after an entirely acceptable 2nd lto behind a decent 3yo. Handicap debut and just squeaks into this 0-70 race, he looks capable of a mark in the mid to high 70s judged on his latest effort. 6:45 Kempton - Main Focus 5/4 Sets a clear standard on his lto 6th to Wise Venture in a race with a few next time out winners. Any newcomer will have to be decent to lower this one's colours first time up.

Nice price here IMO. 5/1 3.05: Ailsa Craig Went close from same mark LTO - stable on fire at the minute. Should go very close here. 4/1 3.35: Pravda Street Very impressive winner LTO; stable in form; has won from higher in the past. 5/1 4.40: Bianca De Medici Hughie Morrison a rare visitor to Carlisle and this his only runner. I don't have the time to post reasoning and I feel that only those who regularly contribute to this thread are in a position to comment, sorry if that offends but its annoying that some of us find a lttle time to post here with selections while others use that time to criticise...:)
