Apology for not being around my sister passed away and  it hit the family hard naturally ....she went racing with me a few times so it's hard to even look at it but she really enjoyed being around me and the racing and ratings etc so she wouldnt want me out of it feeling sad or sorry for myself ...she was a big fan of my original ratings and always used to take them to wolverhampton when she went and it kinda helps feeling she's along with me for the ride now so I'm easing myself back into things now

Hmmm I see what you mean .....on one hand I think protecting the bank is a good thing but on the other I'm thinking why change what is working so far ?.....all I'm thinking is I know probability will give me a long losing run sooner or later ........you know what you are probably right the level stakes means when you fall on a winner then the profits can be a lot bigger than if I reduce it to 3.55 ...,,I'm going to leave it as it is at 5pts ...the bank can withstand 142 bets at that so a losing run of 30 wouldn't be the end of the world ......don't change what ain't broken

As its a quiet day i thought its about time i did a bit of housekeeping .....the name of the game is to make profit and the initial bank didnt really take into account the level of risk involved with it only able to withstand 100 bets ......when your backing anything from 7/2 to 33/1 laws of probability come into play unfortunately and that means at some point you will face a losing run in excess of 30 .....that's no reflection on choices or that your crap ...even the great pricewise faced a losing run of 35+ that's just statistical probability at work not anything else and in then long run universal balance gets restored but you have to face and withstand that run which can be very hard on many levels but that's where you ultimately rise or fall as a punter ......anyway as we have a decent amount of profit now it pays to put in a level of protection so im going to change the stake from 1/100th at the start to 1/200th of the bank each day .....that will allow the stakes to self adjust when on a losing streak probably limiting a 30 losing streak to a loss of 100pts and allowing a good run of luck to rack up more profits as the bank increases .....not including today's bet tomorrow's racing will start at 3.55 pts which is 1/200th of the bank if today's loses ....else I'll recalculate later .....that makes me feel better as I know it can withstand the inevitable losing run now and I can just get on with being professional and riding it out .........big wheels keep on turning

Time to put my money where my mouth is and see whether its actually possible to make money in racing consistently ....Time to get serious and only back when all ratings point to a win and if the odds warrant a bet is worth the potential risk ....I've set up a 500 pt bank real bank and given myself a 12 month period to prove yes or no in public  .....no more whimsical bets or high risk outsiders unless they warrant it ....this is serious time to prove once and for all it can be done .....yes there will be the inevitable losers which may be long at times as with any but stick at it and we shall see I think its possible and if I focus it will evolve  .....I'll scan the bookies for best value at all times and try to get maximum value every time preferably the night before if possible when bookies early prices come online .....bets will be to 5pt win  stakes at all times ......Time to rock and roll starting with tomorrow's racing
