  1. Deportivo have won their last two home games and here comes their third home win on the bounce, if I can have it my way. Girona once won a league game, but it was early season and for this game they have to manage without their superior goal scorer C Stuani, who will sit out a suspension. They improved when Kayode and D Luiz entered their game against Villarreal (1-2 loss) and it is quite possible that these two will play from the start in this game. La Coruna will be able to call on Schär again and there is also a chance that P Mosquera and A Lopez will be back in contention for this Monday game. E Colak, who was replaced by the former Arsenal player Lucas Perez in their last game, is considered a doubtful starter. Backing Deportivo....
  2. Real Sociedad have won their three league games and they have scored ten goals in those matches. Real Madrid are 1-2-0 in the league and they are forced to play this game without Ronaldo, Benzema, Kovacic and Marcelo. With Ronaldo, Kovacic and Marcelo in their line up they played in the Champions League in midweek at home to Apoel (3-0). Real Sociedad also played in Europe on Thursday night at home to Rosenborg and they will have one day less for recuperation. They missed C Martinez, R Navas, Inigo Martinez, all injured, and Oyarzabal as well. One or two could be available for this game. Januzaj is now playing for Real Sociedad. He is competing with C Vela, Juanmi, W Jose, Canales and Oyarzabal for a place in their front line. My choice will be the home win
  3. Espanyol vs Leganes Fancy the home win here. Espanyol opened their season by drawing away to Sevilla. It was a very good point and they were actually quite strong in the second half and they did not give away many openings to the home side. Quique Flores has remained at the hot seat and he is basically relying on the same group of players as last season plus Piatti, Granero, Naldo, D Lopez and others. Fit again L Baptistao played upfront alongside Gerard Moreno and Baptistao could have scored more than his one goal vs Sevilla. On their injury list are D Lopez, O Duarte, V Sanchez and A Vazquez. Leganes defeated Alaves 1-0 last week. Their keeper saved a penalty, but Leganes were the better side and they deserved the win. Missing again will be Siovas and Timor. Backing the stronger team, Espanyol.
  4. " It is the time of the season when struggling, desperate teams may have a better chance to get some points here and there. Espanyol have officially aimed for a place in Europe, but realistically their loss vs Atletico Madrid ought to have killed those hopes. Sporting are four points behind Leganes in the league table and a win in this match will make their quest for survival at least possible. They were 0-2 down away to Osasuna at the weekend, but two late Sporting goals earned them they a valuable point. They are not a good side, but they have been in this situation once or twice before and they are aware of the stakes tomorrow. This game is the definition of a must win game for Sporting. They will have to manage without their suspended midfielder Moi Gomez, but they will have their previously suspended wing back Isma Lopez back to play. Lillo is not yet available." Backing Sporting.
  5. " At home Las Palmas are 9-5-2 and they were quite good in their last home game, vs Real Betis, a game they won 4-1. It is like they do not even try in their away games. Both their forwards K P Boateng and Jese, who scored against Betis, will be back for this home fixture and J Viera, J Gomez and M Garcia should also be available for this match. Alaves won their last game, 2-1 against Villarreal and they are as safe as Las Palmas in the league table. Defender Alexis will most likely miss this game. Just the usual routine when Las Palmas are playing on the island, Likely home win."
  6. " The amazing Eibar season just goes on. Not many sides will defeat Villarreal at their place, but Eibar managed just that at the weekend winning the match 3-2. They were 0-1 down at half time, but then Eibar came up with three quick fire second half goals. Las Palmas lost away to Celta the other day (1-3) and it was in fact their tenth away loss of the season. (1-3-10) Their defence was all over the place and I can understand why they keep on losing their away games. Fran Rico will play no more for Eibar this season and their defender Arbilla is new on their injury list. Inui is suspended, but their striker S Enrich should be fit to play." Home winner.....
  7. " Not much separates the two teams in the league table, but surely , for once, well prepared Celta side are the better side. Celta have played so many games this season and they have mostly been very successful. They went far in the Spanish cup and now they are in the Europa League quarter final. They all fear Celta in Spain, they know their potential in a single game. John Guidetti could not play for Sweden during the international break and it remains to be seen if he will be ready for this game, or not. After some negative results Las Palmas were finally able to win a game again, this time at home to ten man Villarreal 1-0. Their defender M Lemos will be suspended for this match. I expect an entertaining affair, as both sides prefer playing attacking football. Although Las Palmas are constantly losing their away fixtures (1-3-9) they keep going for wins on their travels and this will work fine for Celta." Home winner, both to score and Over game....
  8. " Las Palmas have to manage without two of their goal scorers last week, Livaja and Roque Mesa. Both scored in their 5-2 home win against Osasuna. Las Palmas like to play offensive football, but it rarely works for them away from home. They are 1-3-8 away from home. Espanyol will have all their offensive players available for this match, the injured L Baptistao aside. " Going for a straight win for the Home team....
  9. Watched Betis' last match against Sevilla and they completely dominated the proceedings against a quality team like Sevilla ( they could have been 3 nil up if they could have it their way and they conceded two headers from 2 set pieces if I'm not mistaken).. Now Real Sociedad are also there, bang in form but I cannot see a victory for the away team or if ever they were to win it won't be by more than a goal...So, for me, the handicaps is the way to go for this match...
  10. Hi addpea.. Great previews as always.. I read that Eastleigh will be without 10 regulars for their trip to Halifax.. How do you rate the home team's chances for tonight? Odds have also dropped for the home team at evens...
  11. Just read somewhere that Atletico will play this derby game somewhere else rather than its own ground.. That's why the high odds on home win coupled with the fact that it's a local derby..
