It has been made easier this last few weeks because so many teams have been having issues. I'm just glad Hemel were way too short to back today as Margate found their form again. I think the fact Nikki Bull has confirmed he will be manager after all next season might have helped perked the players up to make sure he wont be manageing a team in the Ryman Prem. Also should have backed Ramsbottom after all as clearly not having a manager meant Ilkeston were clueless as they lost 4-0! Just wish I had risked it at the prices. Still can't complain as two big bets came in on two sides who were odds against, but should have been odds on.

    Macclesfield v Cheltenham
Fair play to Cheltenham on winning the league this season. It wasn't something I thought they were capable of doing at the start of the season, but Gary Johnson has proven what a top class manager he is and he was a massive factor behind the reason they are going straight back to the Football League. Last week in the National League North Soliull were crowned Champions and in their next game last Saturday they lost to Hednesford who are essentially relegated. That was obviously an unexpected result, but what it shows is that teams who have won the title can ease up once their job has been done and Solihull certainly weren't the first team to have that happen to them. Macclesfield have been in really good form of late and are unbeaten in their last 9 games now and are finishing the season off nicely having initially looking like they had given up for the campaign. I'd have been tempted by the 16/5 anyway, but with the fact Cheltenham have nothing to play for now that price certainly makes plenty of appeal.   Concord Rangers v Havant & Waterlooville Havant were a single figure price to win the league at the start of the season as they had done well to get to the play-offs last term and had spent money over the summer. The season has been a disaster though and they are in real danger of going down. They have only won one away game all season and were thumped 6-0 by St Albans last weekend. Concord have lost two of their last three and that has meant they can't reach the play-offs any more, and I suspect that is why they are as big as they are here as Havant obviously need the points. The problem is I am not sure Havant have it in them to get the points here and I think Concord are a backable price.   Eastbourne v Gosport Eastbourne still need points to survive and although on the face of it they aren't in great form, that is mainly down to their away efforts as at home they have been strong of late. They have only lost twice in their last ten home games and they get three points here and then they will be playing National League South football next season. I don't really need to explain that they have a great chance of doing that against Gosport who I have been opposing for ages now. Chelmsford thumped them 6-1 last week and I can't believe Eastbourne are odds against. Bookies really seem to have missed the troubles at Gosport. Bookies have caught up with Margate though and Hemel are 1/3 to beat them on Saturday. It would be amazing if they didn't and Hemel can go in any accas you are doing this weekend. Grays have been another team we have been taking on, but bookies have been even more wary here as no one has priced their game up at the time of me writing this.   Hyde v Halesowen I don't bet all that often in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier but it has been a very profitable league in the last few weeks. To be fair to Ilkeston they have bounced back of late and I was going to tip them up this weekend as they face bottom side Ramsbottom who haven't won since the beginning of January. The problem is they sacked their manager on Wednesday night and that muddy's the water a bit and given you couldn't trust Ramsbottom to take advantage I will leave the game alone. I won't be leaving Hyde alone though and they lost yet again on Monday. That night Nantwich were amazingly odds against and I can't believe that Halesowen are even bigger to beat a Hyde side, who let me remind you have only won twice since October. Darren Kelly has been in charge for 6 games now and Hyde have conceded 20 goals in that time. Halseowen did lose 3-0 on Tuesday night, but that was to an Ashton side who need points to get into the play-offs. They had won their two games before that and they will surely see this game as perfect opportunity to end the season on a high. As for Hyde it is their 3rd relegation on the bounce and I'm not sure we will be seeing them back at this level any time soon.   Eastbourne and Halesowen the Naps

    Hyde v Nantwich
I have no idea how the away side are odds against for this match on Monday night. Hyde didn't do that badly against Buxton on Saturday, but it was another defeat for Darren Kelly's men and they are now in the relegation zone and looking like they might be suffering their 3rd relegation on the bounce. Conceding only twice was an improvement as well because their previous four games had seen them let in three or four goals. Just to repeat the stat I put up about Hyde the other week, they have only won twice since October 26th. Nantwich will be very happy with their season having reached the semi-final of the FA Trophy and although they have had a very busy schedule because of that they have still been performing well. They have played 9 games since Easter Saturday, but they have only lost two of them and one of those was against top of the table Darlington. The held on for a draw against Salford on Saturday after going down to ten men early in the 2nd half. Now the one thing that does concern me is they would have had a hard game and they might be feeling the effects of that here. That is the one thing that is stopping me making them a max bet, because everything else is in their favour.

    Chelmsford v Gosport
Again I am leaving the National League alone this weekend as only Tranmere made any sort of appeal and the price seems about right. Instead it seems safer to stick mainly to the tried and tested teams to oppose in recent weeks. Granted Gosport got a draw against Bishops Stortford last week, but their keeper got man of the match so we were unlucky not to collect. They did beat Basingstoke on Tuesday, but they are bottom and although this game against Chelmsford will be much harder. The home side had won three on the bounce, before losing to Ebbsfleet last Saturday. They played well in that 3-1 defeat and they will fancy their chances to get back to winning ways here. I think they should be odds on so Marathon's 13/10 makes plenty of appeal.   Harrogate v Boston The home side have been struggling to pick up wins for a while now and from looking good things to be in a play-off place they are looking over their shoulders. They have only won once in their last six although they did get a decent draw at Nuneaton in midweek. Boston are also trying to cement their play-off place and they have won three on the bounce now. They have a better chance than their odds suggest given Harrogate are struggling to win games and I think it is well worth taking the 23/10 on Boston.   Ilkeston v Rushall Olympic The away sides form isn't great as they have only won once in their last six games, however their away form is good as they have only lost to Darlington on their travels in their last six. Ilkeston won a couple of games to make sure of their safety but they only beat sides below them in the table and Hyde are hopeless at the moment. They lost again on Tuesday night to Buxton and Rushall really should have too much for them. A price of 7/4 looks very tasty.   Treble Bishop's Stortford let us down last week, but as I mention above they were unlucky and although I wouldn't want to go lumping on them at 4/7 to beat Margate they are worth sticking them in a treble. Margate were stuffed 4-0 by top of the table Sutton last week and only had 3 subs on the bench which suggests they are struggling for players. Grays lost again last week and they play champions elect Hampton this weekend. It would be one of the biggest shocks of the season if Hampton didn't win and they should be capable of putting a few pass them. It has been no surprise to see that Darren Kelly has had no effect on Hyde and they still continue to lose and concede goals for fun. Buxton should have no issues seeing them off this weekend. It could be worth looking at handicap markets for the later two teams but the treble pays 2/1 with Marathon which looks a fair bet.

    Gosport v Basingstoke
This game was meant to be played on Easter Monday when I was very keen on Basingstoke. I am not as strong on them tonight, but they have to be backed again. Basingstoke are going down and they blew a 2 goal lead on Saturday against Weston, but as we know Gosport are one of the worst teams in the division at the moment. We were unlucky not to collect on Bishops Stortford on Saturday as Gosport's keeper got man of the match which tells you all you need to know about how the game went. The away side are over 4/1 and that is too big.
    Hemel Hempsted v St Albans
A local derby this and the bookies have certainly priced it up based on league positions rather than actual form. Since Ian Allinson took over as St Albans manager they have been on fire and have won six of their last eight matches. They played away at Maidenhead on Saturday and got a late winner against another team trying to get in the play-offs. That shows they have what it takes to win this game. Hemel are doing well enough themselves at the moment and are currently in the final play-off place. They also won with a late winner on Saturday. St Albans certainly aren't good things, but they certainly have a much better chance of odds of 6/1 suggest and with a bit of luck a 34/1 double might just be landed.

That Hemel/Weston game sounded like a cracker after Hemel went 3 up as well. I am always a little wary of reading too much into team news as it is amazing how many teams seem to get results when they appear to be down to the bare bones. Certainly needs to be considered but I would want other reasons to be back a team.
2 of my 5 won and frustratingly the other 3 all drew including Margate who missed a penalty very late on.
Well done to Sap with Gateshead which is the first game Grimsby have lost for a while.

    Aldershot v Kidderminster
There are five bets this week, all at home and I fancy them all quite strongly. Aldershot haven't always performed that well at home this season, but as I wrote last week they have been showing real signs of improvement and they continued that when beating Macclesfield 2-0 last weekend. Their manager had moaned about their consistency, but they are finally showing some and are now scoring goals which was something they were struggling with. Kidderminster will be playing National League North football next season as they are 14 points from safety and they have little chance of staying up. They lost again last week and with Aldershot showing their improved for I am happy to take 5/6 (Marathon) about a home win.

    Braintree v Chester
Braintree have struggled to get their home games on in recent weeks, but hopefully this will go ahead as their games against Wrexham did on Tuesday. Amazingly they have only scored eight goals at home and conceded the same number as well, so the chances of this being a goal fest are pretty slim. Braintree have won three of their last four home games and they have all been a goal to nil. Chester have only won once in their last six and they are in danger of being sucked into a relegation battle if they are not careful. I am surprised Braintree aren't odds on to win this and Chester have lost four of their last five away games. With their games in hand Braintree have every right to be thinking of the play-offs and they I reckon they will pick up another three points here. Betway go 23/20 about a home win and probably worth a small bet on a 1-0 victory at 6/1.

    Eastleigh v Wrexham
Must admit that only getting a point at Boreham Wood last week probably means Eastleigh won't be winning the title this season. I have seen people mention that the top three are a class above everyone else in the league, but that is utter rubbish as Eastleigh are right up there with them. They have only lost twice in the league since Chris Todd took over and take out the dip in form that caused Richard Hill to resign and they would be right behind Forest Green and Cheltenham. Wrexham are in a terrible run of form at the moment and although they briefly stopped the rot by beating Lincoln (in shocking form themselves) 3-1 last week, as mentioned above they lost again on Tuesday. I think Eastleigh will prove too strong for the Welsh side and at just over 11/8 with Marathon they look a good bet.

    Woking v Barrow
It was a big surprise to see Woking lose on Tuesday against Altrincham and hopefully it doesn't mean they are about to go on a poor run of form again. They have had a bizarre season as they started strongly, went through such a big slump that a relegation battle looked possible and now they are amazingly in the play-off picture after hitting form again. Barrow aren't in great form themselves and although they won at Welling last week they have lost ten of their away games this season and that was only their 3rd win. Barrow did win the reverse fixture in November, but that was before Woking's form turned around and I do think at a shade of odds against (Marathon) is a fair bet.

    Margate v Bishop Stortford
Margate are flying up the table and the change of manager has really turned their season around. Their superb run of form continued against top of the table Ebbsfleet last weekend and they might just be capable of getting themselves into the play-offs now the team are performing as well as they should be. Bishop Stortford are in fair form themselves, but apart from Gosport who they beat on Saturday their recent matches have come against teams towards the bottom of the table and I really fancy Margate to win again. Bet365 are biggest at 13/10.

Boreham Wood v AFC HornchurchThis game is the one which might well see the biggest shock of the weekend as step 4 side Hornchurch travel to step 1 side Boreham Wood. The home side have been struggling in the league for a while now although they were probably slightly unlucky not to win at Guiseley last Saturday. There main problem has been scoring goals and the pressure will be on them on Saturday as for the first time this season they are playing a game they are heavy favourites to win and they might well choke. Hornchurch are having a great season and they should be playing Ryman Premier football again next season. Confidence will be high and I always like it when an in form team plays an out of form team even at different levels. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if there is only one league between these two sides next season so at BetVictor's 8/1 the away side are a sporting bet. Harrogate Town v Grimsby TownI have always been very uncomplimentary about Harrogate's manager, but to be fair this season he seems to have finally got his expensive squad playing really well and they are bang in promotion contention. Now obviously Grimsby are doing well in the league above and have only lost twice this season. Away from home though they have only managed to win twice and I just wonder how seriously they will take the FA Cup this season. Given how close they have gone in the last few seasons promotion to the Football League is all that matters this season and I don't think Paul Hurst will mind too much if they get knocked out here. Obviously Grimsby are rightly favourites, but 9/2 about a home win is higher than it should be. Maidenhead v WokingWoking have really struggled since being the first team to beat Forest Green Rovers. They have only managed to win once since then and that was against a dreadful Halifax side. Backing Maidenhead at 80/1 to win National League South has proven to be a decent move given they are currently in 5th place and not surprisingly Alan Devonshire has turned the clubs fortunes around. They have only conceded five at home and lost just once, so I think they have a fair chance of beating an out of form Woking. Marathon are biggest at 36/17. Salford City v SouthportGiven Salford have won just once at home, but are eight from eight away from home in a funny way I would have fancied them more if this game was at Salford, but given the nature of this game I do expect Salford to bring a much improved showing at home. These two teams could well be in the same league next season as Southport have looked a pretty poor side this term. They did beat Kidderminster last weekend, but it was a poor game which they didn't really deserve to win. This game looks ripe for an upset in my view and Marathon are 26/11 about a home win. Wealdstone v Bognor RegisAgain another two teams who might end up playing in the same league next season either by Wealdstone going down or Bognor going up and you couldn't rule out them swapping places. Granted Wealdstone are unbeaten in six, but they haven't had the hardest set of fixtures and at Marathon's 41/13, which is miles bigger than any other bookie, Bognor are worth a small play as they look a good side in the Ryman Premier this season.

Tuesday night was a case of so close yet so far as Tranmere were leading until late on and Gateshead had taken a lead at Grimsby. At least Dover get a late winner to give us some money back. I like some big prices in the National League this weekend and the FA Cup continues. It is also Non League Day and although I can’t make a game myself I do encourage anyone who can to go and catch a match tomorrow.

    Boreham Wood v Welling
The home side are really struggling for form at the moment and they have only one win against Torquay to their name in their last ten matches. Getting a point at Macclesfield doesn’t look too bad on the face of it, but they barely managed a shot and Macclesfield should have hammered them. They could only get a point against Kidderminster on Tuesday and after an initial good start they are finding life at this level tough. Welling meanwhile are in good form and although they lost to Bromley on Tuesday night they had won their previous four games including decent wins against Gateshead and Chester. It is hard to understand why Welling are as big as 23/10 with BetVictor because they will fancy their chances against a side who have forgotten how to win football matches.

    Braintree v Grimsby
Fair to say I go Braintree badly wrong. I tipped them to go down as I wasn’t sure they would be able to cope with the departure of Alan Devonshire, but they have been superb so far this season. Funnily enough their away form has been stronger than their home form, but they still look over priced here. Granted Grimsby have only lost twice this season, but as I pointed out on Tuesday they are still be priced up way shorter than they should be. It was a good win on Tuesday against Gateshead, but Braintree put in a superb effort to get a point at Cheltenham themselves. 100/30 about a home win is too big and is very much a sporting play at those odds.

    Gateshead v Cheltenham
Dover, Halifax and Southport were all on my shortlist this week, but the final bet in the National League is Gateshead. One win in five doesn’t look great, but as I said in my preview for Tuesday’s matches they have been playing well on the whole and are still a very competitive side. Again Cheltenham have only lost two all season, but it makes no sense how they can be a shorter price to win at Gateshead than the one they were to win at Halifax last Saturday. That is mad given how bad Halifax are in comparison to Gateshead. Again at the odds of 29/10 it is a value play.

    Chesham v North Leigh
In to the FA Cup now and I think North Leigh are worth backing to cause a minor upset. They have been superb in the league this season having won eight from nine whilst scoring 21 and conceding just seven. They will be hoping to play in the same league as Chesham next season and their hosts haven’t been in the best of form. Granted they had a nice 3-0 win on Tuesday against Redditch, but prior to that they had only picked up one point in their last four games. At 21/10 with BetVictor North Leigh look a fair bet.

    FA Cup Acca
I landed a 6 fold in the previous round and this time I like a four fold which pays just under 4/1 with BetVictor. Harrogate are having their best season for a while and they host a Burscough team who are mid-table two levels below them. Brackley are in the relegation zone in the National League North, but they should still beat a Rugby side who are 3 from bottom two leagues below them. Stalybridge are in good form and they face a Chasetown side that are only just above Rugby in the table. Finally AFC Fylde should have a fairly comfortable win over Coleshill.
I make Welling the Naps although nothing really strong this weekend

The double would be the nap of the weekend.
Depends on how seriously Ebbsfleet take the competition given winning the league will be their main aim. Obviously they look the most likely winners but ones to leave alone at the price. Havant have a winnable game but they are so inconsistent and don't really look like a team to trust at short odds. Poole will have a chance but prices look about right. Could easily make a case for Burgess Hill being shorter than 8/13. Blyth have a tough game against a side who have won their last three.
There will be upsets I am sure and out of the three you have chosen Rushall would be the most likely, but like I say I struggled to see where any possible value bets could be.

Tricky game the Barrow one as they seem to have picked up a habit of winning 1-0 at home, but Aldershot are scoring goals so could be hard to keep a clean sheet against them. Not a game I would play in, but think Aldershot are over priced if anything. Suspect Solihull will win, but Curzon are improving and have had some good results of late. VCD are one of the leagues weakest teams, but Met Police have lost four of their last six. Not sure I would be wanting to get involved at short odds. My other suggestion is you start backing singles, not saying all trebles are a bad thing especially if you fancy a few shorties, but the more teams you put in a bet the harder it is to win. Singles are the best way to build a profit. For example if it was me doing your three picks tomorrow I would do a single on Barrow and a double on the other two. By all means due a little treble on the side and I always stick all my picks in an acca as well as a just in case they all win.

It is amazing that Poole and Kings Lynn are in the same division at Step 3 given how much of a trek it is. Poole should win but offer no value at such short odds away from home. Weymouth do have the edge over Histon although again the price is a bit skinny. Wingate have a very tough game and my feeling is they are over achieving at the moment.

Worcester have signed Lee Hughes in the week so he should boost their front line, but they have been very disappointing so far this season. Was Bath's draw against Weston a blip or the start of the fall? Dartford not done a great deal though this season. Stamford won their last two although Blyth a much tougher test then either of those. Not a bet for me, but has a fair chance of winning.

Don't fancy a great deal again tomorrow. Chancing 3 bets at big prices. First up Welling who host Braintree. Welling have had two good results at home so far this season and nearly held out for the full 90 minutes at Wrexham last week. I think Braintree have been over rated by the bookies here and I would make Welling slight favs here so happy to play at Bet365's 11/5. As discussed above Rob Smith left Hednesford this week to go to AFC Telford. As Telford have drifted even more I am happy (sort of) to take a chance on them at the price. As I say above both teams have struggled for goals and in pre season goals looked like it might be a problem for us. It shouldn't really be as we have a useful enough front line, but for whatever reason it has been. Smith will need more than one game to properly sort Telford out, but I do expect the players to be willing to play for him which they weren't under Kittrick and that will be a good start and one which might be enough to see them take all 3 points. With FCUM getting a first win of the season last week I am backing them to follow that up against Hednesford who might just struggle until they get a new man in. The other bet is a double with pays 2.3/1. Southport have looked pretty bad so far this season and Barrow should get three points against them. The other team is Gosport who have started the National League South season in good form. Truro have struggled on the whole back at this level and I don't think they will be getting any points tomorrow. So nothing stand out, but hopefully a winner or two among them.

Not sure about Corby although you would expect the other three all to win, but they are obviously priced up accordingly. Best value of them could well be Chippenham who did well to beat Poole the other night to continue their 100% record. Histon look like being in for another season of struggle based on what they have done so far.
