Did you actually watch the matches? No offense, i also think Nishikori should pull this off and win vs. Sousa BUT Nishikori looked horrible. How can you write that Nishikori was more convincing than Sousa? Sousa played 2times better than Nishikori in both of his matches. Nishikori was outpointed by Karlovic from time to times and i do not talking about the serve or something. Nishikori was absymal vs. Majchrzak and didn't look good vs. Karlovic either. I would not touch this handicap with one hand right now. Sousa also has a very awkward style and also uses a lot of slices like Karlovic and Nishikori had many problems to handle the slice.
The H2H is irrelevant as one win for Sousa was a retirement by Nishikori by the way. 1-1 sounds so even considering Sousa never won a set vs. Nishikori. Still, i doubt this is serious value. I would consider taking the over here instead of -6 at worse odds.
Sousa looked pretty good so far and beat two very good players (Kohli, Pella). Was very impressed by the serve of Sousa which worked really well under those conditions.
Anyway...good luck but i can only stay away from that match. Everything can happen but if everything goes his way sousa should have pretty decent chance to win at least one set here.

    S. Zhang/J. Peers -1.5 sets @ 2.25 Sbobet 4/10
Usually don't like those mixed doubles events as it's more a exo than a real tournament if women and men sharing a tennis court BUT i like this one as Fucsovics on the other side looked injured vs. Coric, took a medical timeout there and wasn't able to play near 100% there. I doubt he is going all in here.
Zhang and Peers already played three slams together in mixed doubles in 2018 and they won 5 of their 8 matches reaching the semifinal of the US Open finally. They should win this quite comfortably i think.

Looks like a 50/50 match to me. Alvarez is a very talented guy, as a junior he beat guys like Moutet or Fritz and he decided to go for a college career but he finished it before his senior year as he turned full pro last year.
    https://www.dukechronicle.com/article/2018/08/nico-alvarez-to-forgo-final-year-of-eligibility-for-duke-mens-tennis
He beat Sakamoto on clay before, a couple of months ago in Sakamotos home country Brazil so i don't know why he should not be able to beat him again.
Sakamoto is decent but in terms of talent i do rate Alvarez higher. If he brings his A-game i think he should win this.

    Roberto Ortega-Olmedo @ 3.91 Pinnacle 4/10
Spaniard has a couple of decent results on hardcourt / indoor hardcourt and he gave Maden a good fight two years ago on Madens best surface clay so i do not see why Ortega should not able to beat him indoor as the Spaniard likes to play on fast surfaces. Maden also is coming back from an injury, he had no real off season with a training camp or something. His first round opponent was a bum.

Solid parlay. Like them both, took Melzer/Polasek yesterday at even odds and they played really well, they're looking like a doubles team that can do damage even at higher level imo. Begemann/Junaid should be too solid and motivated for Kolar and Pavlasek.

    Zverev/Chardy over 33.5 @ 1.877 Pinnacle 4/10
    Denis Shapovalov -7 games @ 2.03 Pinnacle 4/10
Karlovic was playing very well recently while Nishikori looked absolutely horrible in the first round. No idea what happened to him between Brisbane and Melbourne but if he plays like that today i expect Dr. Ivo to make it very, very close as his serve is working well.
Harrison should be a living dog, he is dangerous on those courts in Australia, he likes the conditions and he served very well in the first round. Medvedev is still a hot & cold player who can easily be outpointed if he has a bad day.
Those over bets should be solid, i expect in all of those matches 3 close sets or even 4 or 5 sets.
Shapovalov looked good vs. Andujar, he served very well while Daniel was absymal. Daniel wasn't able to return those WTA serves by injured Kokkinakis, unreal scenes, Daniel is such a mug, can believe he is a Top 100 player. Shapovalov should beat him quite easily IF he can avoid those DUMB errors.

    Michal Przysiezny @ 1.854 Pinnacle 5/10
Przysiezny only played 8 matches in 2018, last one in April but he had a very good pre season and is in really good shape and i expect him to play a good tournament here in Koblenz where he had some success in 2017 winning four matches in a row. Przysiezny also worked as a training partner for Caroline Wozniacki in the second half of 2018 and also trained with her as a prep for the new season so he wasn't far away from the sports although he didn't play officially. I expect a strong performance here as he said his goal is to come back Top 200 soon and if he is fit he definitely has the tools to do so. His opponent Barranco is a clay only player, he NEVER played on indoor hardcourt before, one tournament on indoor carpet in Italy last year where he was defeated by Neuchrist in two clear sets. I do not expect him to some damage here to be honest.
    Benjamin Hassan @ 2.23 Pinnacle 5/10
This is Benjamin Hassans home tournament. He played great tennis here in the past winning sets vs. Gabashvili and De Schepper and beating Gulbis with a great performance. Hassan is underrated but he needs to play like this the whole year, he usually shows his best tennis at home and i do expect great tennis here. Serdarusic isn't something special on the other side, can't say i am convinced he makes it back to the Top 200 soon, he lacks consistency and i watched his match vs. Griekspoor last week and i am pretty sure if he plays like that he will lose this.

Yeah, he looked decent even in the first set but made some typical errors after being out for such a long time. I put some money on him while he was a set and a break down, nice win to start a week. He played very good in the third set.

I don't think Osuigwe is ready to play on that level yet. Apart from those two tournaments at the end of the last season she has done nothing on that level. Andreescu is on a sick run right now and playing really well. Got this like 75/25 for Andreescu. But still i won't touch set handicaps on womens matches, can't see any value there.

Both meet in Cincy last year in qualification and Hurkacz won two tiebreakers, i expect some tiebreakers today too as it will be very hot in Melbourne so the courts should be even faster. Can't see one of them losing their serve tbh, wouldn't be surprised if we see five tiebreakers. Line is solid enough.

it was a night match as you already mentioned and at night the courts are usually slower. there were already a couple of matches played before Fed vs Istomin and obviously a court isn't playing the same after hours of play. i think Melbourne is the same surface as Hopman Cup and Perth was looking fast imo.

    Ugo Humbert @ 2.50 Pinnacle 4/10
Can't say Chardy impressed me recently. His results are looking good but it's only the paper which looks good, in game he was playing inconsistent and moving slowly, his serve was working but apart from that he was pure average. Beating Struff and Kyrgios looks good on the paper but as we all know Struff is a headcase player and Kyrgios...yeah, Kyrgios is Kyrgios. A joke. He nearly lost to Uchiyama who is a Challenger player, the Japanese had match point in the third set but couldn't convert it and lost the tiebreaker. The match vs. Seppi was a mugfest where Chardy wasted a 5-2 lead in the first set losing 5-7 and also was broken four times, he looked mentally weak and i fully expect Humbert to beat the current versio of Chardy. Humbert is a huge prospect and i think he might have his breakthrough this year cracking into Top 50 soon as i think his complete package is a very good one with all the tools to be very, very successfull.

Should be a solid bet. Ellis and Popyrin both big serving guys with good net game, they know each other from the juniors where they played together several matches. Schwartzman and Duran should be solid but not out of reach for the two young aussies. Don't like Schwartzman in doubles anyway, especially on hardcourt where he lacks a good serve and Duran only played one match outside clay in doubles in 2018, he had a good run at the end of the season in South America but overall his doubles record is based on clay tournaments on the Challenger circuit and we all know most of them are having pretty weak entry fields.
