  1. Kyle Edmund bt Pablo Cueves with betfair at 2.45

I'm going to go for Edmund, hopefully this isn't bias talking but thought he looked good against Chardy and his shaky confidence should of got a huge boost. Not too impressed with Cueves and don't think he'll perform as well as Chardy did.

Jordan Thompson bt Ivo Karlovic with betfair at 1.62

Odds are dropping on this and I believe its because Karlovic is struggling with the 5 set format. Considering taking Jordan on a -1.5 set handicap as well. Karlovic beat Lopez in a poor game, Lopez actually put a lot back in play but straight down the serve/volley throat. Karlovic shouldn't break Thompson at all really.

Value radar: Shapovalov to beat Paire at 2.11 with Sbobet

Sorry if this has been answered but what does the Value radar work on?

I normally like to see opinion and insight from the picks. If its just a system I'd rather read it in the Betting Systems and Strategy forum. I like to know the reasoning behind peoples picks before I can decide whether to follow. Just my opinion.

Also while I'm here, big thank you to all the regular posters, I should try and post more of my own picks but the wealth of knowledge from others is great to read.

Nicolas Jarry to beat Daniil Medvedev at 3.85 with Unibet

Nico is playing good tennis again and with the confidence he's got now he'll be a dangerous opponent for Daniil.

Jarry always worries me as being 1 dimensional but I also think he is a form player and definitely worth backing at this price.

I might look at the handicaps as well, but I agree with four-leaf here.

If Jelena Ostapenko gets her winner count going she's hard to stop. When she's in the zone I mean it's very difficult to beat her and I think she's in that zone right now.

All about her serve for me, if shes not hitting first serves then she gets broke... a lot. Seems to be all about confidence as well, she gets into ruts easily and serves doubles.

But on the other hand if the opponents serve isn't working very good she is excellent at punishing it. Osta is almost a 50/50 in every match. I'd always prefer to watch a couple.

  5. Chargers and Packers moneyline double for me at 1.59 with Betfair

Both home teams are in good form and visitors come with some injuries, think these will be comfortable wins and will take a look at some handicaps as well.

Man you are too much hooked on one game. get a life. tommy paul and laaksnonen are not worth giving minute by minute updates. Laaksnonen has a bad injury and if he continues to play like this his career will be over in 2 years

Considering I've never seen you post a decent pick I'd respect other members a bit more if I were you and maybe try to learn something.

Once again a stupid odds movement on Betfair. I'm talking about the Bacszinsky - Zavatska match from the ITF Biarritz tournament. Bacszinsky lost the first set, but then won the second set and took a pretty quick 3-0 lead in the third set. At the 3-0, the odds were lower than 1,2. However, then the match was paused and it is scheduled to resume tomorrow. But now the odds moved to almost 1.4 on Bacszinky which is crazy. As I said, the real odds when the match stopped were lower than 1.2 and even if Zavatska will get her first service game tomorrow, the odds then won't be 1.4. So it's basically a risk-free bet on Basczinsky. If she breaks immediately when the match returns, the odds will be really low and you can get out for a nice (sure) win and if Zavatska holds you should still be able to get out for a small profit as well. As the odds are now, they make no sense at all.

    Nice work Crespo

but you still believe Nadal will win?? i've always been Nadal fan, but i have my doubts in this match. i think the same you said, his game here hasn't impress me that much.

No I think Del Po will win unless he has a bad service game. His power can win points against Nadal serve and he is hard to break. Might follow leaf and go for a 3 set win for Del Po.

I'm going to start posting some of my picks. My knowledge and research is limited so very happy to receive feedback or criticism.

I have a couple picks I want to lay but will wait till after the first round Isner, Thiem and Serena. Isner is hard to oppose on hard courts but the last few matches I saw from him were poor and he was broken easily. Thiem is just so inconsistant that I like to oppose him when not on clay and Serena I still think is far from the top and will crash out against a plucky/fighter opponent.

    My first round bets so far;

    Paire bt Novak 1.66 Betfair

I'm a sucker for always backing Paire and so I've gone for him at 1.66, Paire has the quality to easily take this match but there is always the temperament cloud hanging over him and a 5 setter could be a worry. However i'm sticking with him.

Rafael Nadal v David Ferrer - 3rd Set Game Handicap
    Rafael Nadal (-2.5) - 2.1 Betfair

I think Ferrer is winding down now and I certainly feel this will be an easy 3-0 for Nadal. That third set could only need one break but I think Nadal will break often. Ferrer's serve has not been his strong point over his career and I don't think he has it in him to break Nadal.

Maximilian Marterer v Kei Nishikori - Match Odds
    Maximilian Marterer - 6.8 Betfair
I just like these odds. Max can cause Kei some issues and I feel Kei hasn't had the best of times on hard recently. I see Max doing well against Kei. Should probably add in a handicap to this one as ultimately Kei will probably win but I think Max will take a set at least.

That's mine so far. Along with a 20 pick Acca for fun.

Paire won... Nadal void and Max was destroyed. Mixed start but something to build on. I did well with Edmund in play but not so well with Giorgi. Hopefully will pick up some more decent bets later this week.

    Good luck All

  10. I think your pre-play break downs are more than sufficient Czech and widely appreciated.

Kubler injury looked bad on first viewing but he walked it off, I do feel Fritz had the upper hand in the match but you never know.

Watching Murray and Verdasco right now and can't decide whose playing well, both inconsistant.  I already lost going for Giorgi although the in-play odds were too good.

Taking some Teichmann at 4.9 on Betfair to bt Kanepi

Purely on the odds, if Kanepi plays as well as she did vs Halep she should win but you never know if she can maintain that form so with the odds I think its worth a punt.

David Goffin -2 games to beat Stefanos Tsitsipas at 1.9 with Pinnacle

Tsitsipas had tough week in Toronto, where he played in Finals against Nadal on Sunday. Surely he will be fatigued here. He will come late and he will need to adjust to new balls and new courts, while Goffin is already here for few days. Goffin is not in best form, but I think that courts in Cincinnati should suit him. Courts here are quite fast and Penn balls are also very fast, which suits Goffin. Tsitsipas played in Quarter Finals of Washington and I would be quite surprised if he would make another big run here.

    Great pick Fabio
