  1. Nottingham 4.00 - Elbereth 12/1 EW Bet365

This horse showed some smart form last season over these conditions and assuming the rain stays away she should have a good chance of going back to that level of performance. Her last two runs have been disappointing but they were on soft ground and deteriorating ground so it is a little difficult to tell how good she can be under ideal conditions. The race is full of potential massive improvers so she may find one too good but she sets a decent standard with the possibility of more to come. Balding is in decent nick and Oisin Murphy is in the plate which is always a bonus.

Unusual race ...these 3 are a little clear of the rest and almost a 3 way tie ....I could try and narrow it down but all 3 are available at big prices so I'll tag team and keep stakes low ...all overpriced

I came out with 4 on my list: Syrian Pearl, Upstaging, Jaywalker and Pixellian but have left the two you have done based on running style, draw and because I think Upstaging is a quirky bugger (for all that he is young enough to prove that wrong). Either way the front of the market is full of over rated horses in my opinion so plenty of value left in the market! GL.

  3. Beverley 3.30 - Count Montecristo 4/1 Betfair

This horse looks well in on my ratings, has a favourable draw and will have a running style to suit this track. Its a negative to be having his first run of the season against a field that is mainly match fit but the Ryan yard is in good knick and he ran well first time out last season. Of the rest, I fancy Marsh Pride to out run his odds after shaking the cobwebs off last time out.

  4. Have a few too many to write about properly tomorrow so I will put a quick line about a couple that I fancy the most.

    Ascot

2.30 - Plutocracy 16/1 Bet365 - I just have a nagging feeling that this one is due to win a decent enough race like this. Form under these conditions is good and is well in.

3.05 - Asteroneus 9/2 Bet365 - Comes out best on my ratings by a couple of pounds and must have a better chance than the price suggests if fully tuned up.

4.15 - Outback Traveller 10/1 PP - Looked a horse going places last season, and on debut for new yard ran a good race despite being hampered LTO. More to come.

4.15 - Dinkum Diamond 40/1 Bet365 - I am sure this horse is going to pop up somewhere over 7f and conditions look ideal tomorrow.

    Haydock

3.20 - Whataknight 14/1 Hills - Yard bang in form, this horse will enjoy going off in front at a track that it will more than likely pay to be handy on good ground.

3.55 - Baccarat 3/1 Hills - Is surely the best horse in this field and there is no reason why he shouldnt run to form under favourable conditions.

5.00 - Vikekhal 10/1 Corals - This horse is best on good ground and finally now has those conditions after looking progressive last season.

  5. Sandown 4.10 - Henri Parry Morgan 9/1 Bet365

His novice chase form has stepped up a gear in the latter part of this season and his last couple of runs must give him a huge shout off this mark today. I have him roughly 10-11lb well in and as long as this experience isnt too much for him, as it is a different test to the ones he has faced chasing so far, then he should go very well.
