Cherno More-Levski Cherno More brought in some fresh signings but obviously they weren't enough to get through in the Europa League. They've been eliminated after a decent play at home and a crushing defeat in Minsk. That was followed by a boring draw in Blagoevgrad against Pirin.Cherno More were solid on home soil against Ludogorets but they lost that game eventually after an entertaining 2:3 game.Ludogorets were the better team but poor defending coul've cost them the match.Cherno More seemed back on track after a win in Sofia against high flying Slavia and that win could've been even more impressing if there weren't the dozen missed chances.Anyway, they showed great attacking capability and i think there's a great chance to see them scoring more than 1 at home this round.Last season the pitch in Varna was in an awful condition but it looks better now and given that there is no rain just makes me think it's even better.Levski are coming after a defeat in Razgrad, despite playing decent for greater periods of the game. They are still without a win and will be looking to make it 1st for the new championship. The team is consisted mostly on young players who have little to no experience but there are a few 28-30 years old who help them much.Levski are ok going forward and actually they were pretty unlucky not to score against Ludogorets.I think they can cause Cherno More a real upset if they underrestimate "'The Blues''.I don't know if Cherno More are ready to make such a big step by winning 2 games in a row against the team from Sofia, but surely we will see a lot of fight on the field and i think we are set to see goals in this game.BTTS-Yes @ evens medium stakes with bwin 0:1. Extremely umlucky with Cherno More not scoring...

Simeon Borisof reacted to Darran in Non League matches August 8th
I think this season instead of starting so many threads each week that there will just be one thread for all non-league matches for each round of fixtures. Hopefully things will pick up as the ante-post threads have been very quiet. The first weekend of the new football season is always one to tread fairly carefully as you can never be certain how teams are going to fair in their first meaningful game since the end of April (or May if they were in the play-offs). Even so I think there are four decent bets to be had in the National League on Saturday. Aldershot v Gateshead I just can’t understand why the price is drifting on the home side here. Gateshead made a very odd choice in manager in Malcolm Crosby after Gary Mills left for Wrexham. There has been big change with plenty of players coming and going, but it is hard to see them improving on a mid-table finish last season. Getting James Marwood back is a big plus, but he is likely to be injured for the first few weeks of the season and they may just struggle to get points early doors. To be fair you can write similar comments to Aldershot, but the difference here is I like the look of the new players they have signed over the summer and their squad looks the strongest yet since relegation from the Football League. To me this has been priced up as if the game was taking place last season and the 19/10 price Skybet go about a home win is much bigger than I would make it. Boreham Wood v Halifax When Wood got promoted I was pretty certain they would be going straight back down. That was before they made some very shrewd signings over the summer and getting Charlie MacDonald from Barnet was a massive plus to their chances. They could get off to a winning start as I think Halifax will struggle this season. Something was going on behind the scenes towards the end of last season as they were struggling to fill a bench for the last few games. That has meant the players who have left and the players who have signed are both into double figures. The problem Halifax have though is the players who have left look better than the players who have joined. Wood have a fairly settled side and with the confidence of promotion, I like their chances of getting three points here. BetVictor go 2/1 about a home win. Chester v Braintree The best bet of the opening weekend look to be Chester and it is no surprise they have been trimmed already. Steve Burr is one of the best managers at this level and he did well with Chester last season when he initially thought they were going to be in the Conference North. There haven’t been massive changes and instead it looks a more gentle improvement of the squad. I have tipped Braintree to go down and I really worry for them without Alan Devonshire as boss. Danny Cowely did well at Concord, but this is a much tougher task especially as Devonshire had a lot to do with their success in my view. 6/5 about the home side looks a solid bet. Tranmere v Woking Woking were slightly unlucky to not reach the play-offs last term and they should go well again this season. They have the favourite for the top goalscorer market in the shape of Scott Rendell and like Chester they have seen little change over the summer. Tranmere on the other hand have seen a lot of change after relegation. Getting Gary Brabin in as manager was a good move and he has signed well, but they might well take time to gel (Bristol Rovers did last season) and they are playing a decent settled side in Woking. This is a pretty tough start for Tranmere and at 100/30 (Coral) Woking have to be backed. Aldershot 2pts Boreham Wood 1.5pts Chester 2.5pts Woking 1pt

Litex-Montana Insane odds here,i must say.Litex are no doubt the favourites but not by that much. They've been eliminated by Jelglava and i must say they've looked woeful in the 1st fixture. In the revesed one, here in Bulgaria, they were a touch better but still totally unrecognizable. Then they beat Ludogorets on the opening day at home but is should be noticed that Ludogorets missed a dozen of chances to score. In the 2nd round Litex visited Levski in Sofia to concede 2 but it could've been easily twice more.Their main problem is defending. They posses pace upfront and hold the ball well but they really need to work on their defendng.Litex are a typical home team and they should not be underrestimated in Lovech.Lubko Petrovic will be without Viana(LW),Despodov(ST),Mllanov(CB).These are key men in the squad and their abcense could be vital.Viana is a great forwarder and already scored a goal this season but has injured his ankle and won't be available for a while while Despodov and Milanov are great youngsters and national players.Montana are newcomers. They started the season on a positive vibe and are looking to continue their form. They are still to concede a goal and that's something you cannot ignore but to respect. They began the campaign with a home game against Beroe which they drew(0:0) and according to the reports both squads have played solid defensively without taking any risks on the opening day.In the 2nd round they demoilished Botev at home by scoring 6 goals!.That was a massive defeat which let to Botev firing their manager and GK.Montana should really be up for this game and although i don't expect them to get a positive result in Lovech i really think the odds on BTTS-Yes should not be that high because Montana have enough firepower to net at least one with their motivation sky high while Litex have not had the best start to the season,it's still july and they are already out of Europa League, changed the coach and have 3 major missings, without whom they already showed weakness.BTTS-Yes @ massive 2.62 with bet365- medium stakes.

Ludogorets-Levski Ludogorets have been shambolic thus far. They were woeful in the pre-season campaign and their weak form has been tranfered to the CL and domestic league. They were defeated twice by Milsami who were dispatched with ease by Skenderbeu yesterday. In Á’PFG Ludogorets started by losing to Litex in Lovech and it’s fair to say that Litex could’ve won that game by more than 2:0 if their forwarders were on a good day. After that Ludogorets won in Varna against Cherno More(2:3) but they were not shining again.Cherno More played this game 3 days after coming back from Misnk where they were hardly defeated by Dinamo (4;0) with their confidence on the rock bottom.I cannot see where this confidence comes from but Ludogorets surely don’t deserve to be that heavy favourites here. They brought in another expensive Brazilian in the team during the week but he won’t be available for selection for this game.Levski will be hoping to have Kurdov at their disposal for that game and that would be crucial here I think.Levski started promising the campaign by drawing in Plovdiv. They have their weak areas but the team consists mostly by youngsters and it’s hard to ignore that. After that they drew at home to Litex a game which both managers had their complainings from the referee.Anyhow both teams score has won in both of their fixtures so far and I see no reason why I shouldn’t put my money on that to happen once again especially when seeing Ludogorets concedeing 2 goals for the 3rd time this sason.(2 against Milsami in Moldova,2 against Litex in Lovech and 2 against Cherno More in Varna).BTTS-Yes @ 2.20 with bet365.High stakes. 2:0

According to what i saw from Dinamo here in Bulgaria i think it's the right thing to oppose them today.Truely,i don't know what Zurich are capable of and what motivation they'll have to play in Europa League but Dinamo are nothing special really and Cherno More should've beat them at home but due to poor finishing reached only to a draw.Dinamo looked vulnerable at the back and a team with fast forwarders and a man who can hold the ball well could expose them big time.I think if Zurich want to win the game-they will.

Videoton-BATE Both sides are extremely defensively minded and have no potential attacking threats. Both rely on solid defending and midfield area and i would be very interested to see how this similiar line-ups fight against each other.Videoton eliminated T.N.S after going to ET.It will be fair to say that VIdeoton were the better of the two in both fixtures but poor finishing in Hungary could've let them down.Anyway they were victorious in the ET and here they are facing BATE who beat Dundalk at home and drew 0:0 on the road.BATE faced Levski a several years ago and they were as defensive as they are now.On the road it;s even worse. They park the bus at the back and just wait. They have no real attacking weapons and rely mostly on physical strenght and tackling. They will be without their 2nd top scorer for today which will limit their attacking options even more and should help this bet.Videoton are not technically gifted either and i won't be surprised to see many yellow cards here with more tackles and less of a football. The way i see it, it will be a 0:0 or 1:0 kind of game.Under 2 @ evens with bet365.GL! 1:1

KUBAN WIN 1.74 PINNACLE The odds for Kuban win are completely wrong here. The odds should be much lower. Despite Kuban lost a few good players like Sosnin, Popov and Eshenko they managed to find nice replacements like Arshavin - former player of Zenit and English Arsenal; Pavluchenko- who used to play for English Tottenham a few years ago; Kulik from Rubin and Tkachev from Lokomotiv. So overall Kuban have not become weaker, perhaps even stronger compared to the last season. As to Ural, they bought a couple of mediocre players and lost their best player and top scorer Smolov who moved to Krasnodar. So Ural have become weaker compared to the last season. Last year the odds for Kuban win were less than 1.50 and Kuban lost that match. That game was very weird. Ural were fighting to avoid relegation at that moment and they desperately needed points. I am sure that match was fixed. I believe Kuban lost that match under condition that Ural will return a debt and lose the match against Kuban this season. So it is very likely that this game will be fixed and Kuban win it. But even if the match is not fixed Kuban are a much stronger team and will win it if the match is honest. The odds will definitely drop very much. Kuban's clear win is evident for me.

A few words about Beroe. They are tough nut to crack and especially at home where the crowd supports them and the stadium is always at its full capacity. They bought some new good players all over the field and Hubchev seems like he knows what he is doing. They did a solid last season but i really think that had something to do with the fact that CSKA and Levski were totally out of form, suffering.Anyhow,Beroe eliminated Atlantas in the 1st round where they were all over them in both fixtures and deserved the wins.Hubchev said that Beroe are hungry for Euro games and will do anything they have to in order to stay in Europa League as long as possible.I really think Beroe will give Brondby a hard time here and no matter what will eventually happen Brondby will need to give their 100% if they are to go through. They are yet to start the season and that will be their 1st officlal game in the new 2015\2016 so i have no insights there. An extra opinion about their pre-season will be much appreciated.

Since there is no appliable thread i'll post my bet up here: I think it's worth opposing Steaua. They are arguably the best team in Romania but are yet to score this season. They lost the SuperCup final by 0:1 and after this disappointment, instead of bouncing back at home to Petrolul, they only erached to a goaless draw..I think this negative result might affect them badly and they may suffer a lot away from home against the in-form Slavakians. As,Claugol highlighted in the Romania thread,Steaua are favourites for the title once again but seem to be a slow starters.Trencin on the other hand have accomplished a historical finish to the season by winning the league.(home record 15:1:1!!!)Their teriffic forms seems to be continuing with them firing on all cylinders during the pre-season.Bet365 are offering odds against on the home side which I find to be very attractive given that Steaua didn’t have the best way to start the season..Trencin 0AH @ evs with bet365.GL!

Now, with just 1 week to go i want to purpose a pre-season bet and it is Bruno Ribeiro-Ludogorets coach to be the 1st who gets fired. This guy is a complete joke and as i said last season Ludogorets are falling apart. They are looking weaker and weaker and the recent events are showing that. They lost to Loko Moscow(0:2) and Sparta Prague(0:1) and according to the reports they have been abysmal. The atmosphere here in Bulgaria cannot be compared to the one in the ''European countries'' and it will be a massively difficult task for a foreign coach to deal with it.He just doesn't know how to cope with it.Our teams need domestical coaches who are familiar with our temperament and Ribeiro isn't.Ludogorets will face Milsami in the CL qualifications and should go through but i cannot see them being succesful this year. They already sold a few of their best players and are building a team and i really think they won't have the time to do that with the campaign starting in a few days.CSKA and Lokomotiv SF got relegated due to a financial issues which leaves us with only Ludogorets and Levski from the big teams, battling for the title.BWIN offers odds of 13!!! for Levski to get crowned at the end and that's where my money goes.Their last season was awful. They finished in the relegation group and got eliminated in the final which saw them hitting the rock bottom BUT they had time to organize the club politics, built a team and in a no hurry, because they won't be playing in Europa League, they can fully focus on the domestic championship and given the fact there will be no Loko nor CSKA,i think they are fully capable of winning the league.Personally,i cannot find a bookie which offers that kind of bets(which coach will get fired) but i strongly suggest you to place a few units on Ribeiro to do so if you find something and i suspect the odds will be huge because he is kind of a big name in footballl and no one expects him get his ass kicked out so go for it if you have a chance.Bet which i would take all day long is Levski to win the league @ 13 with bwin for the reasons stated above.GL!

Nicolas Almagro vs Gilles Simon over 34.5 games 10/11 paddy power Simon to win 3-1 14/5 paddy power Almagro is a funny player as he is capable of playing great tennis but only on clay but he has won on grass before so i think he might make it hard for Simon who has had a great year and some good results on the grass i still expect Simon to win but in four sets Thomaz Bellucci vs Rafael Nadal over 31.5 games 10/11 paddy power Nadal to win 3-1 11/4 paddy power This year we have been seeing Nadal playing no at his best especially on the clay where he always plays well and he is very vulnerable at the moment so he might just lose a set as he is still not great on the grass Alexandr Dolgopolov vs Kyle Edmund over 33.5 games 10/11 paddy power Dolgopolov to win 3-1 14/5 paddy power I think this will be a good match but i feel with Dolgopolov experience on grass he will just edge it as he has beaten better players on grass in the last few weeks Jo Wilfried Tsonga vs Gilles Muller over 41.5 games 8/11 paddy power This match will definitely go to four sets or even five as Tsonga has not played on grass this year so he might just struggle against a tough opponent who always gives you a tough match Timea Bacsinszky vs Julia Goerges over 20.5 games 4/5 paddy power I think this will be the match of the day as i think it will be a long match two talented players and Bacsinszky had a great French open so she is coming into this with form
