Dotted Swiss 14.20 Lingfield 1 Pt Win @ 4\1 (bog)
Lightly-raced and a winner here over 6f on her debut as well as a good length second over this course and distance when last seen in November. Up 1lb for that but stable in great form, big chance now.
    Colreevy 18.15 Fairyhouse 1 Pt Win @ 6\4 (bog)
Thrice-raced winner in bumpers. 1 win from 3 runs this season. 8 lengths seventh of 23 to Relegate in Champion Bumper at Cheltenham (16.4f, soft, 50/1) 20 days ago. Will take some stopping.

Xtc12 got a reaction from minhtri32132 in Irish Racing
After seeing the Irish horses dominate the Cheltenham Festival with 17 winners you have to ask the question of where have things gone wrong in GB or right in ireland.
Gordon Elliott retained his leading trainer’s title with eight winners over the four days, edging out his great rival Willie Mullins who finished with seven, meaning the pair accounted for all but 2 of the Irish-trained winners. Elliott’s tally matches the record number of winners set by Mullins in 2015. The 17 Irish-trained winners were spread across 11 different owners and four different trainers with Pat Kelly and Henry De Bromhead also training winners again this year. Half of the races (14) at this year’s Cheltenham Festival were won by Irish-bred horses.
For the third year running, Irish trainers captured six of the seven races on Thursday and fell just short of a clean sweep when taking second and third places behind the sole British-trained Missed Approach in the final event on the card.
Forward two weeks, to Fairyhouse Easter Festival. On April Fools Day we have the "Ryanair Gold Cup Novice Chase", 9 runners, 5 trained by Willie Mullins the other 4 trained by Gordon Elliott. Five of the nine runners are owned by two people. Is this good for racing, money keeping money or should there be a limit to the amount of runners a trainer/owner can have in a race.
Forward to the 2nd April, Irish Grand National and Gordon Elliott has 13 runners in a 30 horse field, with Mullins having 4 so the two top trainers having 57% of the field. Add to this Michael O Leary had 10 entries. What some people would do for 270,000.
    Thoughts please.
Is the dominance of the above allowing them to buy all the good horses which improves the Irish chances at Cheltenham every year or is it ruining racing in general.

I read somewhere that the last couple of months have been the worst for punters in general for sometime.
Something like 7 consecutive odds on shots lost during March and the amount of big priced winners has been amazing.
I suppose it the continued wet weather that has disrupted the form book and it probably wont get any better until May at the earliest.
Anyway, all i can say is that I run two personal threads that use the PL Tips and both scraped a profit in March. Not much but not losing anything is pretty good at the minute.
The Naps thread and the Top 10 tracks thread.
    All the best
    PS:
For the record I have never once recommended backing the tips at 4/1+ only.

Recently I've been doing a lot of big accumulators for Over 0.5 goals first half. On a typical Saturday I would select 10 different games and I have been getting so close, on average 8/10.
I am going to try them with a treble and have a rolling stake.
In an English game, the odds for over 0.5 can typically be between 1.2 and 1.5. For the sake of an example let's say it is 1.35. A treble with three 1.35 selections is 2.4 . For this system, if I have a winner I am going to double the stake and pocket what is left.
For example if I stake £10 at 2.4. My next bet stake will be £20 and I will pocket £4
I have calculated out my plan on a spreadsheet and the odds I chose for example were 2.3. With this number I can potentially reach £200 in 4 bets.
However, the odds can be much higher than 1.35 per selection. You can pocket more or less of your returns.
If I can at least get two bets i will have more or less won my starting stake back. If I can achieve it I will stop and start again after 4 bets. This is my first time attempting this and hopefully by posting my bets on here, it will keep me more disciplined.
Wish me luck and let me know what you think.
