Sassoula v Lazio 5pm kick off backing Sassoula @ 51/20 unibet
Southampton v  Bournmouth backing  Bournmouth @ 19/10 unibet  (27/5 available marathon bet)
i have done a few small multi bets but as stated earlyer only singles for this thread(not to myself open up a marathon bet account )
a note for Harry Rag who i know is following this,Sassoula went 2..7 up on corners last game before amazingly loseing 11..7 so if spread betting add a bit of insurance if they do manage to go 2 or 3 corners ahead :-)

9 x 12 for a make up of 108 and a 78 point profit. Toronto losing 9-8 at the break before going on to win 48-21. Might be worth keeping an eye out for similar opportunities in Toronto's next few games.

Followed for an interest, singles and the double. Showed a small profit but another Bury corner would have been nice!

Total risked was 182 points, total return 350 for a profit of 168 points. Fair to say I've had worse days (and no doubt will have in future) but nice to find a few decent winners.

Thanks for the reply and good luck with today's selections. Any significant downturn in your results will probably coincide with my decision to start following but, for now, I'm just seeing how it goes.

hi Harry, the picks are made if the price looks right and the teams to be backed have been getting corners recently or the team backing against havnt been dominating corners,or the teams are close in the league i.e real salt lake(though a loser tonight) got 10 and 7 corners in there 2 previouse away games in the mls,
though i must state this isnt a system with any rules(except like anyone else i dont like loseing money :-) it is just a glory hunt,if i see say Bournmouth at home to say Man unt or Arsenal and the Bournmouth price looks right i will back them
the same as say Chelsea at home to any other london side i.e Crystal Palace and Palace are 5 or 6/1 then thats just asking to be took
if one or 2 bets the prices must be above evens(allways happens) but if 3 picks will look for 3 prices 2/1 or above to ensure a winner with just one winning selection(cant allways get this)
latest results New York Redbulls 8 Real Salt Lake 5 lost -£10
    Columbus 5 v Portland 3 lost -£10
above total -£20 new bank £305.5

The less said the better about today's selections but at least "no grand slam winner" landed and it's been a decent tournament over all.

Time is tight! Added the following in the later games, all look decent enough for an interest at least.
For France, Fickou to score a try at 3/1 and 2 or more at 15/1 with Hills
For England, Daly, Watson and Joseph all at 7/2 to score a try with Lads
Good luck with your bets (assuming anyone else is having any)!

Phew, was expecting this to end up a "should have had a day off" day a 77th minute try for Simmonds and a Strettle try for Clermont means I managed to show a profit over the 2 games.

Was indeed very wet in Hamilton but, annoyingly, 10 points scored in the last 2 minutes of the game chopped the multi-points profit to 32 (make up was 483).
Chance Peni did the business, going over just after HT.

Difficult game to call this evening with Warrington struggling to get into full stride and Wigan beset by injuries, especially in the backs.
Wigan are likely to have very inexperienced wingers who will doubtless be targetted. This could produce openings for the likes of Tom Lineham and Ryan Atkins. Because I don't trust Warrington enough to buy hotshots or try minutes on the spreads, I've backed Tom Lineham to score a try anytime at evens (Ladbrokes/Paddy P) and Ryan Atkins at 6/4 available with the same firms.

Hopefully this is the right place for some Southern Hemisphere Super Rugby stuff.
There's a big clash in NZ between Chiefs and Hurricanes at Hamilton. It's expected to be a close run affair. The striking point for me is the desperate weather which is widely forecast to persist all day with the rain set to get heavier from 6pm (kick off is 7.35pm - which is very early morning GMT). Points have been racked up big time in the opening 2 rounds, but that was against very weak opponents like Sunwolves. This is a real clash of heavyweights in likely poor conditions. I've gone with the spreads in selling match multi-points at 515 with Spreadex. The best fixed odds total points lines are arguably under 42.5 (6/5) and under 41.5 (13/10), although there are bigger prices for the more adventurous. The last 2 matches in Hamilton between Chiefs and Hurricanes yielded 34 points and 40 points. If the weather men are correct, it could be a real arm-wrestle tomorrow with tries at a premium.
Western Force were a bit of a surprise package last week in overcoming Reds at home. Their star was right winger, Chance Peni, whose stats indicated that he beat most defenders in round 2, including scoring Force's try. The Force have an all Aussie affair in Canberra tomorrow against Brumbies. The weather should be very good for plenty of tries and points. Cook Islander Chance Peni has cut his teeth in Rugby League where he scored loads of tries. Hopefully he's in the mood against Brumbies and rates a bet for to score anytime at 15/8 (skybet).

You could say that was one of my better days (compared to the ones where I put up that many bets and none of them win)!
76th minute try for Goneva. a single try for Ashton, Heem and Olivier both scored for Worcester to land the anytime bets and Varndell and Woodward for Bristol so their hotshots made up at 50.
Decent weekend overall, back on 6 Nations duty next weekend.

    Hy everyone,
for today i will bet for a victory of castres at home against clermont at 1,4 because clermont do a turnover on his team, castres have a strong team at home and have target this game since start of season.clermont dont need absolutely this victory for qualification.
last point the weather is horrible at the moment on castres, a many rain, so it will be a fight of forward on this game.

Not that I'd ever have a bet for the sake of it but I do like an early Friday morning bet to give me that "weekend's here" feeling! Tomorrow's only Super Rugby game, Chiefs v Blues is a 6:35 kick off and I've had the following bets.
Faauli to score a try at 4/1, buy Blues hotshots at 27 (Nanai, R.Ioane, Duffie and Collins) and buy Duffie try minutes at 10, all with Spreadex
The hotshots look a little undervalued to me and while I always like a buy at just under 25 so that a single try edges you into profit this is still close enough to a break even proposition to make plenty of appeal. Faauli and Duffie are both best price 21/10 anytime elsewhere and look good bets at 4/1 anytime or more or less the equivalent of that price in try minutes. A couple of Duffie tries would obviously be nice given his presence in the hotshots line up.

Have to be honest and say that most of my betting is based on looking at the games nearer the time and comparing prices and stats so I'm largely unencumbered by knowledge or opinion in advance!
Will post any thoughts as and when, especially tryscorer related. The only thing that leaps out from a quick look at the fixtures is the 2 games involving the Italian teams as almost 30 points underdogs. Once the handicap hits that sort of line I often think there's the prospect of a value bet on the underdog's points as they can be underestimated by the layers.

To quote a famous namesake of mine, "a man's got to know his limitations" so I'm inclined to rein in the League betting to concentrate on Union and footy, Obviously, should I spot the occasional interesting bet I'd look to post it.
I am left wondering how blindly backing the underdogs to win this season would have fared as a strategy. There were several seasons where it was profitable but last season certainly bucked that trend.

That went a bit better with wins on the handicap, Te'o anytime and Italy multi points.
Not sure what the purists made of it, but from my perspective it was a thoroughly entertaining watch. A bit more accuracy from their kicks would have been nice but I especially enjoyed the try on the stroke of half time from the penalty attempt that hit the post.

That's not the worst looking bet at the 4/1 available. I've also bought cross corners at the generally available 26 (home x away). Having taken on board Tiffy's views about Newcastle's prospects I'd rather have both teams on side and be less dependent on the game going a particular way. That line's just low enough to tempt me in. For a fixed odds bet, PP offer evens for Newcastle multi corners to be >4.5 and that looks decent to me.

I've bought the hotshots in Brighton v Newcastle at 26 with SPIN (25 points per Murray, Baldock, Gouffran or Ritchie goal)
Sometimes this market offers a price that appears to offer clear value however I look at it. That's not the case here but the 25-29 on offer elsewhere is more like what I'd have expected to see. File under "fair at worst and a decent way of having an interest", with your risk spread across four players who all offer a reasonable goal threat.
