A chance for another tilt at the Solihull super strikers. Neither scored last time out, the first time that's happened when they've both started a game this season. Hopefully they're at backable prices and normal service resumes this weekend.
(Note to self; check anyone has priced up goalscorer markets before wasting time doing any study!)

Cleary 23/10 a "just shy" pick in the early game.
Sivo 11/10 and Mam 15/8 system picks in the later one.

Feel like I'm due at least an "underlying" winner though would be nice to finally hit the big one!
11/2 Brannagan landed so a profit on the bets posted for the game but he wasn't big enough for a bet in here. Scored just before the break so a quiet relied that he didn't add another in the 2nd half!

Tom "always scores" Trbojevic a bet at evens if you're one of the chosen few who can bet with you know who. Failing that, just one "not quite system" bet for me in tomorrow morning's game; Fuller at 9/4.
Nice to start with a winner (though would have been nicer to have been able to be on both)!
A rare "no bet" scenario in tonight's Super League game, prices pending for tomorrow's NRL action.

Couple of quid on a Rodrygo "screamer" at 40/1. Much shorter elsewhere, maybe a bit generous from when I looked at the shot distance related stats.
-
Burrows 110/1 to score in both halves and Murphy 130/1 to do so, Peterborough v Oxford. On both anytime at 13/2 and 15/2. Feel like I'm due at least an "underlying" winner though would be nice to finally hit the big one!

Peterborough need to go for it here, hopefully goals at both ends. A few players at chunky prices for me;
Burrows 13/2, Murphy 15/2 and Brannagan 11/2
The two "B" boys are likely pen takers.
I've done Burrows and Murphy to to score in both halves at 3 figure prices for my "100 club" thread, just a quid each.

No joy last night, going again with 2 who look big enough on the exchange. 2.78 Kane and 3.4 Bellingham.

Hello Harry, you'll be glad to hear that I've activated the spread betting side with my account with Speadex. Don't know what I'll do yet.
Tread carefully at first, make sure you understand the volatility of the market you bet on and stake accordingly. Any questions, give me a shout.
There's an info icon next to every price and their training area may be worth a look.
It's not rocket science and nothing to be scared off, just understand the maximum loss/profit when deciding your stake.

I've had an e/w bet on Homa for FRL at 28/1 and played the resulting freebie on Jaeger e/w at 55/1
Here's the top of the market for the spreads on finishing positions this week. Essentially you sell where you fancy a player to do better than his quote or buy if you think he'll do worse (which feels contrary to many spread betting markets in terms of being the opposite way round).
#
You could use this as a yardstick to compare how a player is priced in the fixed odds markets, e.g. if you're trying to decide between two 100/1 shots see if one of them is rated much better to the other on the spreads. For this week let's go with a 1 point paper trade of 5 players mentioned in this thread and see what the return would have been.
Sell Clark at 21
Sell Homa at 24
Sell Hovland at 28
Sell Jaeger at 31
Sell Tway at 42

Ramos 2.84 and Fullkrug at 4.1 for me tonight.

I've had a nibble for interest. 15/1 with Lads (using a boost from 14/1) and 1/6 the odds to 10 places.

taking 3 or 4 against the field for a total of less than 100% guarantees a profit
@MCLARKE I think he meant to say IF one of them wins here. I think that's where some confusion has arisen.
Overall though this thread has got a bit derailed with everyone talking at cross purposes. I could be wrong of course, but in an attempt to stop the chaos, I'll try and summarise thus.
You were making the valid point about extra place races; backing each way is likely to be more profitable in the long run than backing win only. That's because the extra places reduces the overround that the e/w punter is up against relative to win only. A fair point and well enough made.
Unfortunately, t'other fella has been thrown by your theoretical reference to backing every runner in the race and gone down the route of explaining to us how markets work and how dutching works. All of which was a bit "teaching granny to suck eggs" and not really relevant to the point you were making.
Might be best to leave it there but if there are any more posts that miss the point or explain things that don't really need explaining I'll delete them to keep things tidy and on topic.

It's the penultimate round of games in Germany, my favourite league perhaps for goalscorer betting. The ELO ratings are here.

@tschurchy not sure if there's an issue with the formatting or it's just a change in approach?
Share here if you're having a bet on any of these games.

Here are the first legs of the Championship play-off games with Leeds and Southampton finishing well clear of the other two teams. I'd be surprised if it's not one of those two who goes up with Leicester and Ipswich but there's no shortage of surprises when betting on this game. What are your thoughts on the outright betting or these games? Let us know below.

Yup it's a tennis forum so let's not have any more pointless after-timing of bets on other sports. No-one cares and it's not relevant. Stick to the co-operating on tennis angle and drop the confrontational tone. Let's draw a line under the subject now and get back to the mutually useful stuff.
