2017 Punchestown Tipsters Competition (April 25th- April 29th)
 
We shall be running a tipsters competition for the Punchestown Festival starting on April 25th The winner and two runners up will receive cash prizes.
 Please find all the rules below. I will put up the selection threads each day and the table each evening. Anyone wanting to enter in advance due to lack of access let me know via PM. No need to register, just turn up on the day
 
Rules:
1 selection per race throughout the 5 days at Punchestown Bets settled to £1 level stakes - WIN Only Bets settled at SP Highest accumulative total over 5 days wins £60 cash >Skrill (follow link to sign up) Runner Up wins £25 and the third place wins £15, all prizes via your Skrill account. No edits allowed in selection posts No losses incurred for losers or Non Runners Replacement selections for NR's can be posted but must be before the first race deadline All Bets must be posted prior to the first race each day (no exceptions) Not compulsory to enter all 5 days (so if you miss the first day or two you can still take part) Leaderboard posted each evening All welcome

Unsure what it paid but i just stuck it with the rest.
This is my New coffee table, we never clean it, we just remove a layer.

We all know backing winners is never easy, we get back what we put in and it's always about them and us, Bookie & Punter 

Should have stuck with the Skelton's G' 

Donald McCain's 8yr old gelding looks tailor made for the handicap chase in Race 2 at Kelso, he doesn't have many miles on the clock and he's never been out the prize money in his last four appearances, granted he's never jumped a twig here at Kelso but id be confident in a course of this nature being right up his street in many ways.
He was a winner last time out at Sedgefield running off 11-10 and wasn't given a tough time by jockey Will Kennedy, nothing else shouts out from his competition and and it would be most disappointing if he cant run these inferior into the ground.
Will Kennedy makes the journey for just the two rides but this fella is surely the one he's getting out of bed for.

Whitsundays.....from Donald McCain yard the 8yo only had the four chase races with his first a Novice Chase at Market Rasen 2m 5.5f good when 3rd last May a good introduction to chasing but yard put him away till they brought him out in February this year and hit him with a novice handicap chases at Sedgefield 2m 5f soft although 2nd he was beaten by 38 lengths ,

The yard stayed at Sedgefield for two races but brought him back in distance 2m 3.5f another 2nd place found, and 12 days ago 2m 0.5f good he eventually got that win and beat Hi Dancer by 3.25 lengths , it was a good recovery as he was 4 lengths down after last and long run in and took led with 110 yard to go and was running on,

He travels to Kelso for first time but yard are going back to 2m 5.5f race the good thing the handicapper left him at same 103 mark after that win , Jockey Will Kennedy keeps the ride

Sure did fella, thought he looked a fine specimen when connections were showing him off on Friday nights STV News

5:15 Aintree Grand National. : One For Arthur @ 16/1 betvictor e/w thanks  (paying 6 places )

One For Arthur....flying the flag for Scotland with his St Andrews Cross body silks, Trained by Lucinda Russell from Perth the 8yo is a stayer and if stays out of trouble will surely be battling at the death, He's been a winner of three hurdle races, three chases and a point-to-point from 2m 4f to 3m 5f on ground varying from good to heavy,

The brought him here in December for Betfred Becher Handicap Chase 3m 2f good to soft although 5th he was the one staying on another furlong he would have won , he finished only 3 lengths behind Vieux Lion Rouge winner with Highland Lodge 2nd, The Last Samuri 3rd and Ucello Conti 4th , They all go again in this race today and join One For Arthur ,

Jockey Derek Fox has just took over from Peter Buchanan in riding the horse in last three runs this season winning at Kelso 3m2f in October then that Aintree race in December when 5th and 84 days ago at Warwick 3m 5f soft another win,
