I might have a go at something different fairly soon but my main concern at the moment is having plenty of runners ....... now I'm retired I want an interest in a few races to pass some time ..... eek !
I was considering 20 x £1 bets but it would take all day to look at the races and type them up ... 
so for now I'll stick with mainly doing 5 runners in doubles or trebles depending on how the race cards look (I basically want single figure handicaps!)

Another class 6 handicap here over 7 furlongs
My angle here is that the race is full of milers coming down in trip whereas my selection is a sprinter going up in trip (tho' he has won over 7 furlongs)
To be honest I'm not not totally convinced about this because over the straight mile at Newcastle I like horses that have won over a furlong further than today's race because they need more stamina on a straight track
But with pretty much all of them being milers except mine they'll all be dashing off to make it a test of stamina and my horse might be able to sit in and pounce late when they all begin to tire
That's the theory !

A race full of fairly exposed class 6 handicappers. Two or three of them are in form at their level but I'm hoping my selection might just be a bit better
He won a couple of class 4 hurdle races in 2022 then had well over a year off until re-appearing a few weeks ago at Lingfield where he weakened in the final furlong. With that run under his belt and hopefully fitter today hopefully he can improve. The handicapper dropped him a couple of pounds after Lingfield

I see dual Champion Hurdler Hardy Eustace has died aged 27
and sadly one of Paul Nicholl's staff died after an accident in a point to point race over the weekend ...... RIP Keegan Kirby aged 25. It's a dangerous game

I got an EW shot in the 3.15 at Lingers
Molly Valentine currently 33/1 at nearly all firms
Comes here after a break of over 6 months but has a terrific record 'fresh .......... won her maiden after a 5 month break, won her first handicap after a 10 week break and last season finished a close up 3rd in a much better race than this after a two month break
watch out for a non runner though as we have 8 at the moment and might be a less attractive proposition with 7 runners !
