I quite enjoy those afternoons on ATR when they haven't got much racing and you get a couple of guys like Boycie and Jamie from Timeform in the studio chewing the cud about the sport and upcoming events (none of which are ever on ATR of course !)
I prefer ATR when they don't have anyone on the race track ........I find the likes of Bob, Fitzy, Simon and Luke very very annoying ........... clichés, platitudes, nice type, let's have an inane chat with a jockey, owner, trainer, lady with a hat, who won't say anything of interest but will say 'he's a nice type, the ground didn't really suit, no we haven't decided where he'll run next'
But in reality I don't tend to watch the racing during the summer as I prefer cricket and cycling for TV watching and I just flick over for any races that I've noted down to watch, usually just group races and anything I've got in comps or bets so I miss all the inanity.

two pounds above last winning mark puts him on the edge of his ability but hopefully the return to Catterick will eke out a few more pounds
