I was watching the Lincoln on SSR and one of the commentators came out with a surprising fact…….. he said he'd done some research and I think he said that over 25 years only 35 horses had come through handicaps and went on to win a group race. It's pretty rare.
Given how often you hear 'a group horse in a handicap' you'd think it would happen a lot more than 1 or 2 a year

Lots of runners in the Lincoln so I've applied the following to get it down to a reasonable number
4 and 5 year olds
must have won at a Mile
draw middle to high
still left me with a few too many so I dumped some that have been running on the AW and don't look in good form and also a couple that tend to produce their best on tight tracks
Now left with 5 - Aquarium, Auxerre, Silver Quartz,, Kynren and Saltonstall.
To get down to two I've dumped the 2 five year olds and the short priced favourite
left with

I used to subscribe to Superform as well …….. back in the 80s you'd receive an update weekly which you put in a loose leaf fake leather folder
And the you could buy an Annual for Flat or Jumps at the end of the season and chuck your loose leaf folder away
When I came back to racing around 2008 after a 10 year gap I was really pleased to find Superform available free online …….. I used it all the time until it closed down
The only thing I subscribed to online was the Racing Post but I cancelled my subscription some time ago and now just use the free version …… seems to have everything I need which is just the basic form.

Not great odds for an EW shot but a couple of the first 3 in the market have had huge weight increases and might struggle to keep improving so good chance of a place at least. The other two above it in the market are getting on a bit now and might be vulnerable to younger horses.

Bit of a strange one
Just checking what's on tomorrow and both the Sky Racing and PL Racecards sites are showing a meeting at Ayr with races and distances and race conditions …… but with no horses declared !
Nothing on the Racing Post site
