  1. Im going to go against the expectations and take a bash at Sampdoria on the (ah).

They're on a decent run of form themselves and haven't lost a lot goals. Looking into their record v the top 4 teams in the league and they have only lost by 2 goals or more once (when Juve beat them 4-0) which shows they have competed well as a whole. Remember they also beat Inter in the corresponding fixture 1-0.

Inter are formidable at (h) and on their day can put goals past anyone. I just feel that with the international break we might see bit more of a tired/disjointed Inter performance against a team who should have no problem being motivated to keep their good form going.

Sampdoria have only lost by a 2 goal margin in 2 out of their last 22

    There's value here.

    Sampdoria (ah) +2 @ 1.83

  2. Grabbed Salt Lake DnB at 1.73. Decent price once again v Minnesota. I expect a tight one here though.

Also took Orlando double chance at 2.05. They've had a good start and I see an bit if value here.

After Friday night's win for Aberdeen, I believe Celtic will win the title if they win at Hearts on Sunday. Odds are currently 1.5 with several firms. I suppose that could be some value if Celtic really go for it on Sunday.

Im all over us at that price. Even without Dembele. Roberts from Man City will come in who is a very strong replacement and will give the Hearts defence (extremely poor btw) the run around.

We can go out and win the league at one of the notorious 'big stadiums' in Scotland.

Brendan Rodgers will be telling the players exactly what he and the support want and I just can't see anything but a win at lovely odds.

I've also gone for Brighton v Blackburn BTST at a nice 1.91. Blackburn can't stop scoring or conceding for that matter and I can't see that changing against a Brighton team that has wobbled a little. They are very strong at home themselves and 3 points would be crucial for them in their promotion bid so they won't lack motivation. Blackburn are a gold mine to score. They've found the net in their last 10 (8/10 BTTS) in all comps. And get this, they've also scored in 27 out of their last 29 matches. Incredible for such an average side

  4. I think I will take Marseille and BTTS at 2.70. Really not a value bet but im quite confident in this one. Marseille are excellent at home and Dijon have their survival on the line and so they will fight hard here (at least in attack).

Dijon have 8 goals in their last 5 away games and the (h) teams weakness is for sure in defence.

I expect Marseille to win but Dijon should give them some problems.

  5. Have taken Lazio. 4th best (a) record in the division up against a team who just can't find a rhythm in front of their own fans. No wins in 4 for Sass and only one goal scored. Lazio score a high goals average on their travels (2nd in the division) and can put real pressure on the two below them. Unbeaten in 9 coming in and at 1.85 I'll have a big nibble.

  6. Took a last minute punt on Aberdeen to win and under 2.5 at 3.40.

Dundee come into it in poor form and will look to shut up tight and pinch a one goal victory. The (a) team have been on a great run of form and tend to win a large proportion of matches 1-0.

Edit: 3-0 Aberdeen after 36' mins!

Make that 4-0 after 38' mins :loon

  7. Im finding that British football is now moving into the 'impossible to predict anything' stage of the season when everyone runs around like mad men before working out what is and isn't achievable for the remainder of the season. At that point things usually settle down a bit (for example lots of teams with nothing to play for v teams with genuine promotion aspirations) and it's a bit easier to pick winners. So I'll probably only play one or two bets for the next 2/3 weekends.

One will probably be Brighton v Blackburn BTTS.

Also, at 1.40 to win (a) at Hearts that's the highest price Celtic have been all year on their travels. No idea why as Hearts are in free fall and we don't have any major injury doubts. We've been sluggish in our last few games but should easily have too much for Hearts. Celtic - 1(ah) at 2.05 looks massive.

Yeah, I think Strachan is on a hiding to nothing. The talent pool of Scotland is very poor right now. So I also think a draw is most likely.

Backing England -2 tonight. Despite the stick he gets I think Southgate is actually quite tuned in with how to deal with international football management.

Credit to Scotland. They played some nice stuff 1st half and Slovenia never got out of the blocks. I was very disapointed with them they could have lost by 2 or 3.

  9. I honestly cannot for the life of me see how Scotland can win today v Slovenia. The atmosphere in the camp is poor and the midweek performance v Canada (although many 1st team players were rested) was a disgrace. The media have had the pitch forks out for a while now and there's lots of pressure on Scotland to win here. Strachan the coach has said it himself, it's a must win or their qualification hopes are over. Generally Scotland don't do big game pressure and currently they have one of their worst defences in 50 years. Slovenia will score here im sure.

  10. @Sir Puntalot Right, I'm in on the HT/FT

    DRAW/SWEDEN at 3.6

    DRAW/PORTUGAL at 3.50

Doubled them for fun at 12.6 :hope :ok

    also took DRAW/BELGIUM

EDIT: And just to add, I took the Netherlands to win and got them early in the week (like some in here) for nice odds but I just can't trust this Holland team on an (ah). Seems very risky bet to me but that's my thoughts.

I'm not a fan of international football either, but the one thing these smaller teams are now, is very organised.

I think both Austria and Italy are bankers to win, but I think they're going to have to be patient against 2 teams who will be there with a defensive setup.

Simply out of value, I've gone for...

    58d553d28b7a7_ScreenShot2017-03-24at17.1

Class call on the Austria v Moldova. Was keeping a keen eye on these and your Italy bet, on another day would have had you 2/2. Albania have had 2 good chances and have been well in the game.
