  1. Bremen again look massive. They have the best overall form in the division over the last 5 games and also the best (a) record in their last 5 (W3 D2).

    The (h) side have picked up some crucial results, but if we look the wins were v Mainz, Augsburg and Ingolstadt 04 who bring less quality than Werder.  Bremen can also miraculously qualify for Europe given their horrific start and they have a great chance of Europa League as the teams ahead of them are really faltering here. Incentive for both. I'll try;

    Bremen +1 handicap @ 1.61

  2. Chicago have been playing decent with Schweinsteiger whilst Toronto are struggling a bit to get going. You can gt on the double chance at around 2.10 which might be worth a look.

LA Galaxy v Seattle see's the 2nd and 3rd highest corner AVG's in the league come together. The two are averaging 6.33 corners per match.

Given that Seattle has the highest corner count of any side in the division on the road (7.5 AVG) I'll take Over 10 corners at 2.25.

BET WON- LA GALAXY 3 corners - SEATTLE 8 corners :cow

  3. Oh Monaco you sexy bastards :beer

@KikoCy Hope you backed them picks!

The bookies were MENTAL to over estimate Dortmund here. They have a shite defence (for this stage of the comp) and struggled past plucky yet very ordinary opposition in Benfica. Writing was on the wall from then. 2.5 for Monaco to qualify? Bhahahha

Monaco have probably gone as far as they can as one of Atletico or Juve will probably strangle them out, maybe R Madrid is their best chance attack on attack, but it's been a fun ride.

The Barca game played out exactly as I'd expected couldn't believe some were thinking Juve might score 3! When was the last time an Italian side scored 3 away goals in the quarter of the champions league, never mind against Barca and with essentially a 4 goal cushion. The game was all set up as an Italian wet dream and!defence won the day.

  4. Anyone asking why Juve, an Italian team, that doesn't have to win, might sit back and protect an essentially 4 goal lead needs their head checked.

Im not sure Barca has another PSG result in them simply due to the quality of the Juve backline but I'd be surprised if they lost here. They'll be keen to put on a performance for the fans and in my opinion, if Juve are to score one goal here at the Camp Nou, I think it will completely remove their will to score another and we'll see a typical defensive/timewasting Italian performance.

The focus of the (a) team will be on not conceding an early goal and I just don't see them going hard for an away goal here until they are pushed by a Barca goal.

Barca or Draw for me but I won't be betting.

  5. For  what it's worth I see Leicester and Atletico as a tough one to call. I think a draw is what I would be inclined to back; the (a) team are not as solid as last years model and the (h) team have nothing to lose and decent form and confidence behind them.

Don't see Leicester winning but they could give Atletico a fright.

  6. Just Monaco for me. They are way too high. Dortmund have to attack and Monaco will destroy them on the break.

Papastathopoulos is a Greek tragedy and has no place in a Champions League semi final. The Germans have a defence with more holes than Monaco's.

Here's hoping to collect nicely on Monaco @ 2.9 and Monaco to qualify @ 2.5 (placed before the 1st leg) :hope

    More motivational pricing. :eyes

I get it for domestic games. With a Champions League semi final at stake, for a team that knows only one way to play, if they lack motivation here they should just give up football.

Overs is a cert that's for sure.

Monaco at 2.8? Oh go on then.

  8. Well, having looked at some odds it would seem there's lots of potential.

The sides with the pathetic corner AVG seem to be odds on, I'm assuming as they have home advantage. As it's relatively early in the season and corners have yet to settle out over time I'll take two slightly more conservative bets but ones that look, to me, like winners

    LA Galaxy +1 v Orlando @1.8 - LOSS (h) 6 (a) 5 - 91st minute winner from a corner bust it.

    Real Salt Lake +1 v Colorado @2.37 - LOSS (h) 6 (a) 4

Looks like the bookies had them priced correctly. Maybe I'll have a look at taking the same teams but at (h) on handicaps.

  9. Ok, so currently in the MLS these are the standouts re-corners.

RSL are out at top in corner counts (by a distance) having racked up 44 so far in 6 (7.3 AVG)

NY Red Bulls are 2nd on 34 in 6 (5.6 AVG)

LA Galaxy are 3rd though they've played one less, they have 33 after 5 (6.6)

There's then a bit of a gap between the next block of teams (5 corners on the count) and most teams have a game in hand over RSL and NY so that should be considered.

    At the bottom end;

Colorado only have a measly 13 corners in 4 games (AVG 3.2)

2nd from bottom on the count and possible soon to be bottom, Montreal sat on 14 from 5 (AVG 2.8)

3rd on the bottom end count is Orlando, 17 from 4 games (AVG 4.25)

Looking at the fixtures, RSL are (a) at Colorado so it could be the perfect match up to take a corner handicap on the (a) team. LA Galaxy are also up against Orlando this weekend so the if corners stay true to form there's two easy winners there.

And finally, as if it couldn't get any better, the RBs are at (h) to DC United who although are not as low as some on the corner count still have only averaged of 4.0 so far this season.

I haven't looked at odds yet but there's a start.

  10. I think Man U are sadly going to win it but there's fcuk all value in them at this stage outright (sitting around 2.10).

Im looking at the rest of the pack I'm tempted to back Celta at 7s. They've got a favourable draw and seem to have given up on La Liga and decided Europe is the goal. Remember they can still claim a Champions League spot here and that must be a HUGE motivator. They play in a good league and have already put out one of the favourites in Shakhtar. They went to Russia too and put in a very professional performance so I like them on a small stake outright.
