what's your thoughts on this year's DC in Malaga?
    Quarterfinals:
    Italy vs USA
    Germany vs Canada
    Australia vs Netherlands
    Croatia vs Spain

My picks in bold. I leave the tie between Australia and Netherlands as a pure toss-up.
I think Germany without Zverev has less than 15% chance to advance to the semifinals. Canada with FAA on its squad is an awfully strong team, especially on indoor hard, which is the surface this tournament is played on. It's a shame Sascha is unavailable, I'm sure many fans would anticipate a blockbuster match between him and FAA.
Spain has been hit hard by the withdrawal of Alcaraz due to his latest injury. Can Carreno, RBA, Fokina(?), Ramos(?) defeat the likes of Coric, Cilic and Mektic/Pavic? I highly doubt it. RBA's decline is massive. Carreno Busta is a reliable player, but I don't think he fancies these fast indoor hard courts... Fokina might actually be a better choice for the hosts.
Italy won't have Berrettini and Sinner as they're both injured. Their team consists of Sonego, Musetti and Fognini/Bolelli. Now, unlike Italy, Team USA has plenty of extremely formidable players. Tiafoe, Tommy Paul, Taylor Fritz & Jack Sock will probably be on their final squad. Tommy Paul, Frances Tiafoe and Taylor Fritz have had career-best seasons. Sock is one of the best doubles players in the world. It's just hard to imagine the current Italian team defeating this team of America.

Anna Danilina/B.H Maia to beat Gabriela Dabrowski/Giuliana Olmos at 2 with bet365
Danilina and Maia have recently beaten the likes of Krejcikova/Siniakova and Gauff/Pegula, which shows they're in really good form. H2H stands at 1-0 (6-4, 6-2) in favor of the Brazilian-Kazakh duo (points won: 58-38). Dabrowski & Olmos don't seem to be in similar form, as they've been remarkably poor in their most recent matches.
    Good luck.

Team World to win the Laver Cup at 6.00 with bet365
Ruud and Tsitsipas gave an early lead to Team Europe after their wins against Sock and Schwartzman respectively.
I expect Alex to grab the first point for Team World in his match against Murray. Tennis is a lot of the times about match-ups, and I feel that this is a pretty bad one for Andy. How will he cope with the Aussie's insane speed?
I think the timing is quite perfect for those who desire to back Team World, and I cannot hide that I happen to be one among them. Besides, Team Europe is lacking arguably its most valuable member (Zverev), and this, if nothing else, is a great blow for the team. Zverev has played an instrumental role in Team Europe's early success in the competition, winning the clinching matches in 2018 and 2019. Team Europe is also lacking the out of form Medvedev, who's still Medvedev though (apparently Europe in its entirety does not want anything related to Russia these days).
Taylor Fritz and FAA might score a lot of points for Team World the upcoming days. They're the truly elite players of this team, and along with Djokovic (and maybe Nadal, but I highly doubt he's currently in a good condition), the most elite players of the tournament.

Nadal holds a 6-3 edge in the h2h rivalry with Sascha, but the German has won the 3(!) of their past 4 clashes (all in straight sets).
Also, Zverev avenged the lopsided defeat to Alcaraz at the Madrid Open with an impressive victory (6-4, 6-4, 4-6, 7-6) on Philippe Chatrier. This was his long-awaited first win over a top-10 player at a Grand Slam. Who knows how much this win can boost his confidence now.
I think the greatest value is on the German to win at least two sets (a.k.a Zverev +1.5 sets handicap).
    Good luck.

Holger Noedskov Rune to beat Denis Shapovalov at 2.2 with bet365
Emil Ruusuvuori to beat Ugo Humbert at 1.66 with bet365
Elise Mertens to beat Mari Bouzkova at 1.9 with bet365
Rune aspires to become an established force on clay, and I think that he proceeds slowly and methodically in the right direction. He's a young guy with plenty of ambition. Sure, someone may argue that he's still mentally fragile, but so is his opponent. As far as the game is concerned, I expect Rune to expose and exploit Shapovalov's bh which remains unreliable and weak after so many years; I believe his game is ideal only for grass.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------
Ruusuvuori and Humbert were considered as hot prospects for the future a few years ago, when they were dominant forces in the ATP Challenger Tour. Both have failed to live up to the expectations of the global tennis community so far. I think the Frenchman thrives on a very specific type of hardcourt (Tokyo Olympics). His game seems to be inadequate, especially on clay. Ruusuvuori possesses more firepower and builds the point better than Ugo on slow surfaces...
    ------------------------------------------------------------------
I cannot understand why Mertens isn't a clear favorite against Bouzkova to be honest. Personally I evaluate her as a much better player than Mari, on all aspects of the game (serve, fh, bh, retrieving skills, creating angles, footwork etc).

    Good luck.

Day conditions are always faster. Ruud was hitting the ball with a lot of pace, enabling Djokovic to also hit with similar pace, therefore make his balls look faster than today. Tsitsipas certainly wasn't giving as much pace.

Alexei Popyrin to beat Quentin Halys at 2.00 with bet365
Both players have had a great week in Bordeaux reaching the final. However, Popyrin's wins were more convincing and came against stronger opponents compared to Quentin's. The Aussie is surely a tough nut to crack and I think Halys will fail to lift the trophy in front of his home crowd.
    Good luck.

Sasnovich vs Azarenka - Over 19.5 Games at 1.80 with Pinnacle
Sasnovich (+ 5.5 Games) to beat Azarenka at 1.68 with Pinnacle
Sasnovich to beat Azarenka at 4.01 with Pinnacle
I said on my last pick that Halep was being overrated. She was not playing good and Sasnovich's last results were suggesting that she would have chances to upset Halep.  Well..., I only have seen a short part of that match, but Sasnovich has beat her in 2 sets (7-5, 6-4). She has won all her 3 matches here in straight sets (MC Osorio, Raducanu and Halep). Azarenka's last results are not good. She has not been able to win more than 2 straight matches since she did in Berlin, 4 months ago. In her 1st match here, she benefited from Linette's injury to reach the 2nd round. Now, she has benefited from Kvitova's physical problems to reach the 3rd round (Kvitova needed medical treatment on her thigh in the 1st set). I have seen the whole match and I have to say that it has been really bad. Both players have played really aggressive (as it was expected), but the amount of errors has been excessive. It's also remarkable how bad both players have been with their serve. The first set has been a nightmare. Vika is the best player, but Sasnovich has showed more, much more. These players have never played before.

First of all, I have to say that I also took that bet, but I did not post it. After seeing Ruud reaching miraculously the TB, I was expecting the worse. It would have been really unfair if Harris had lost that first set! I also did not understand why the market went that strong on Ruud at those odds. I guess people gave too much importance to that big win over Norrie... and they forgot how he struggled to beat Murray and Grigor, plus how good Harris was playing.

Lloyd Harris to win a set at 1.8 with bet365
Don't know why Ruud is considered such a heavy favorite against Harris tonight. Both players are at their best, Harris is the better server, Ruud is probably the better retriever. Kind of reminds me of David Ferrer in a way. At these odds, I'm going with the young South African to win at least a set.
    Good luck.

Simona Waltert to beat Oceane Dodin at 4.00 with bet365
I have seen some matches from the young swiss player this year and she has impressed me. I saw her in the Altenkirchen ITF, a tournament played on indoors. She played really well there and she destroyed Golubic in the SFs (6-4, 6-2). She lost the Final against Tauson but she took a set from her. Before that she won an ITF tournament played in Manacor in January. In April she reached the SFs in 2 ITF tournaments played on clay and she beat decent players as Hesse, Lottner, Fett, Xiyu Wang, Minella and Barthel. She has beat Ruse easily in her first match here (6-2, 6-2) and she was at 3.00. It has been her first match on grass as a professional but it's important to remark that her best result in a GS as junior was in Wimbledon 2017. She reached the SFs and she lost against Ann Li (7-6, 6-1). She has a really good record this year (29-11). Dodin also has a game that suits really well on fast courts but her record this year is bad (11-16). What shocks me is that she has lost a lot of matches being a huge favorite. Shinikova (6.50), U.Radwanska (4.00), Jia-Jing Lu (5.50), Kung (3.00), Grabher (3.00), Mrdeza (2.00), Hibino (2.20), Paquet (3.00), Stojanovic (2.60) and Rodionova (2.90) are some of the players that have beat Dodin this year. She has a good record on grass (17-16) but she never has passed the qualification here (2019, 2018, 2016 and 2015). The only time she played in the main draw here was in 2017 (she did not play the qualification) and she lost in the 1R. She has suffered too much in her first match here against Eva Guerrero (7-6, 6-3) despite being a huge favorite (1.11). These players met for the first time 1 month ago, in Strasbourg, and Dodin beat Waltert in straight sets (6-4, 7-5). I did not see this match but after taking a look at the stats I can say it was a hard battle. The only difference was that Dodin converted 5 of the 7 break opportunities she had while Waltert only converted 3 of the 10 break points she had. These players have some similarities. Both are tall players (1.80-1.83) who practice an aggressive style of playing but Waltert's record this year (29-11) is much more impressive so I think Dodin (11-16) shouldn't be with these odds.
