Jet Powered and Under Control , yet 2 more Nico/Henderson horses to run like drains . Their novices might still be running o.k. , but their established horses just aren`t at the races .

After a very complicated start to the season, Lens have found their defensive stability.
Gradit-Danso-Medina in the 3-man defence are doing a great job in front of French international goalkeeper Brice Samba.
Predicting the match is very complicated. My supporter's heart will go out to N2, but Arsenal are up against it and it's going to be terribly complicated.
I'm going to say that Lens won't concede too many goals.

    Under 3,5 @1,47
    Under 2,5 @2,20

Haydock 1.15 A competitive looking 2M 3F handicap hurdle where the in form Nicky Henderson trained Park Hill Dancer appears to hold as good a chance as any. The Henderson stable are on fire at present and this Middleham Park Racing owned six year old may still have some mileage on his on his current handicap mark. Not seen since May when winning at Uttoxeter, the Sean Bowen ridden gelding is now 8lb higher but at the right end of the handicap and looks likely to go very close.   PARK HILL DANCER 1 point win @ 4/1 BetVictor   Ascot 1.30 Just the four for the Nirvana Spa 1965 Chase, a Grade 2 chase run over 2M 5F. Shishkin makes his re-appearance here sporting first time cheek pieces and as he has already slaughtered his main danger here Pic D’Orhy by 16 lengths over course and distance last season it’s hard to look beyond Nicky Henderson’s nine year old who, under Nico de Boinville, is officially rated 11lb better than Pic D’Orhy and 10lb and 26lb superior to the other two competitors Minella Drama and Straw Fan Jack.   BRAVEMANSGAME /SHISHKIN/ STATE MAN 2 points win treble @ 9/10, 4/6 & 1/3 BetVictor   Haydock 1.50 An intriguing five runner 2m 5 1/2F Graduation Chase with three possible winners as the two outsiders Scipion and Hardy Bloke have far too much to do. Willie Mullins’ Grand National third Gaillard Du Mesnil has to be respected but may find this trip too sharp and in receipt of a hefty 18lb Apple Away can make a winning chase debut. She was a smart novice last season over hurdles culminating in victory in the Grade 1 3 mile novice hurdle at Aintree which has worked out brilliantly with the 3rd, 4th, 6th and 7th all winning well since.   APPLE AWAY 1 point win @ 5/2 888Sport   Ascot 2.05 The 2M 3 1/2F Coral Hurdle has attracted a small but select field of just five with each of the quintet having a chance of sorts. Maybe the best value is Olly Murphy’s Strong Leader who we have to forgive a disappointing first run of the season when finishing last of ten in the Welsh Champion Hurdle. He’s better than that and the step up in trip may suit this six year old who was a smart novice hurdler last season winning three times and concluded his season by finishing runner up to Inthepocket in a Grade 1 at Aintree. Last year’s winner Goshen maybe the one to chase him home.   STRONG LEADER 1 point win @ 6/1 bet365   Haydock 2.20 The most competitive race of the day is the sixteen runner Betfair Stayers’ Handicap Hurdle run over three miles. The two favourites are Fergal O’Brien’s Crambo, who looked good at Aintree but is now 6lb higher and Emmet Mullins’ Slate Lane who’s chasing a four timer but this is easily his stiffest task and he’s up a stone for his latest victory. It wouldn’t be a shock if either were to win this but I can’t resist an each way bet on Willie Mullins’s Fine Margin. He’s still a maiden after six outings but there were all for Matthew Daly who’s not had a winner under rules the last five years in Ireland so surely Mr Mullins is going to improve him massively especially now he’s upped in trip. He’s worth a chance at a nice price and don’t rule out Tom Lacey’s Howlingmadmurdock from a yard in fine form and is worth a small each way saver.   FINE MARGIN 1 point each way @ 12/1 BetVictor 1/5th 12345 HOWLINGMADMURDOCK 1/2 point each way @ 20/1 William Hill 1/5th 12345   Punchestown 2.35 Only four have declared for this 2M 160 yards Morgiana Hurdle with Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott both saddling a brace of runners a piece. This looks a penalty kick for Mullins’s State Man who’s only defeat last season came when runner up to Constitution Hill in the Champion Hurdle. I can see him being smashed off the boards and if a big priced odds on chance is your preference than this is very much one for you. Too short for a single so lets try a win treble with Shishkin and Bravemansgame.   Haydock 3.00 The day’s feature race at the Lancashire track is the 3M 1 1/2F Betfair Chase. Paul Nicholls’s Bravemansgame is a confident selection. He’s sure to strip fitter for his second in the Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby three weeks ago when he looked all over the winner going to the last only to make an error and allow Gentlemansgame to out sprint him on the run in. He is a consistent top class chaser and although last year’s winner Protektorat may push him hard I fully expect Daryl Jacob to steer him home.     Ascot 3.15 Eight two mile chasers line up for the valuable Hurst Park Handicap Chase with cases made for many. Top weight Boothill won this last year and looked good at the last meeting but on a run at Kempton last Christmas he may struggle to hold Chris Gordon’s Aucunrisque who was only beaten a length but re-opposes here on 11lb better terms. He went on to win the Betfair Hurdle back over hurdles and may have just needed his first run back this season when third over hurdles. Back over fences he looks a decent value each way bet.   AUCUNRISQUE 1 point each way @ 7/1 888Sport 1/5th 123   Haydock 3.35 Eleven line up for this 3M 1 1/2F handicap chase which has an open enough look about it. Nicky Richards’ Famous Bridge looks sure to be thereabouts but maybe Anthony Honeyball’s Credo represents better value. A consistent eight year old mare she impressed when winning on her re-appearance at Wincanton by 6 1/2L and even with a 7lb rise in the weights can be competitive with Sam Twiston-Davies taking over on her for the first time today.   CREDO 1 point each way @ 5/1 bet365 1/5th 1234

Wetherby 1.15 The first of five races covered by ITV is this 2M 3 1/2F class 3 handicap chase which has a very open look to it. It maybe worth chancing last year’s winner Ladronne who has had his wind tinkered with again since last seen. He has won first time out before so an absence of 176 days is not too much of a concern. Tjade Collier’s nine year old is two from five here and looks a value each way play in a race where the market will be very informative.   LADRONNE 1 point each way @ 6/1 William Hill 1/5th 1234   Ascot 1.30 Jonjo O’Neill’s Are U Wise To That looks the one to be with in this 2M 3F novices’ handicap chase. He looked ahead of his mark when winning at Warwick in good style 40 days ago (3rd won since) and a 7lb rise may not be enough to stop this six year old from following up with Ben Pauling’s bottom weight Jipcot another to consider.   ARE U WISE TO THAT 1 point win @ 4/1 bet365   Wetherby 1.50 Just seven have declared for this 2M mares only listed hurdle but its an intriguing contest with serious chances given to Luccia from the Henderson camp, Kateira from Dan Skelton’s camp and Jamie Snowden’s You Wear It Well who was a very smart mare last year culminating in victory at the Cheltenham Festival in the mare’s novice hurdle (Luccia 4L back in fourth). She’s the pick for me and can score here despite a 3lb penalty on ground that obviously suits well.   YOU WEAR IT WELL 1 point win 3/1 William Hill   Ascot 2.05 A competitive 2M 1F premier handicap chase has attracted nine runners and has an open look about it. One horse who may still be ahead of his handicap mark is Harry Fry’s Boothill who’s won three of his 7 starts over fences including when winning over course and distance last November in a handicap prior to some good efforts in graded novice chases including a win of a four runner Wayward Lad Novice’s Chase at Kempton last Christmas. A mark of 149, 9lb higher than his victory here a year ago, still looks workable and he can run a big race today.   BOOTHILL 1 point win @ 4/1 William Hill   Wetherby 2.25 The 3M bet365 Hurdle is a grade two race with six declared to run. Philip Hobbs and Johnson White have their string well forward with a 33% win rate at present and can take this with their smart staying hurdler Thyme Hill. He was novice chasing last season although he switched back to hurdles at Sandown on the season finale day in April when a creditable fourth of 5 to Knappers Hill (beaten 1 3/4L). He may have most to fear from Dashel Drasher who is officially rated a 4lb better hurdler than the selection.   THYME HILL 1 point win @ 2/1 bet365   Wetherby 3.00 A disappointing turnout of just four chasers line up for today’s feature race at the Yorkshire track, the Charlie Hall Chase. Ahoy Señor flopped in this race last season and may have to play second fiddle to his old rival Bravemansgame who will be very hard to beat. Paul Nicholls’s classy chaser has won first time out the last two seasons including this contest last year and although very soft ground may not be his ideal terrain his class should tell and can win this convincingly to tee himself up for another pop at the King George on Boxing Day which he ran away with last year.   BRAVEMANSGAME 3 points win @ 8/11 bet365   Ascot 3.15 Trainer Chris Gordon was saying some nice things about his five year old Our Champ following an emphatic victory at Cheltenham eight days ago and can follow up under trainer’s son Freddie who was on board last time despite a 11lb rise in the weights. Harry Fry’s Altobelli looks a threat on his seasonal/handicap re-appearance in a first time tongue tie.   OUR CHAMP 1 point win @ 7/2 BetVictor   Wetherby 3.30 An open looking 2M 3 1/2f handicap hurdle with an intriguing runner trained by Willie Mullins in Alvaniry who is making his handicap debut. He was an odds on flop last time at Newton Abbot and maybe worth opposing. Pam Sly’s Haafapiece appears to like this track with form figures here of 42313184 which includes the 2021 renewal and despite a 232 day absence can get involved in the finished. The chestnut failed to win last season dropping 11lb in the process which puts him on a dangerous mark and as he did win this two years ago following a similar absence off of a mark 6lb higher looks a value each way play under Alex Andrews.   HAAFAPIECE 1 point each way @ 10/1 1/5th 1234   Ascot 3.45 An intriguing 3M premier handicap chase with the likely favourite Monbeg Genius standing out on his last run. That came at the Cheltenham Festival last March when third to Corach Rambler and Fastorslow in the Ultima Handicap Chase. That pair have gone on to win the Grand National and Punchestown Gold Cup respectively rising 13lb and 18lb. As long as Jonjo O’Neill’s seven year old is straight enough he looks sure to run a big race under trainer’s son Jonjo Junior.   MONBEG GENIUS 2 points win @ 7/2 William Hill

    Hello everyone,
Once again, I'd like to remind you that I'm a supporter of Lens and that my analysis may not be objective.
Tonight, Racing Club Lens host PSV in a Bolleart stadium that will, as usual, be on fire. The fans will be on fire, and I'll be one of them. We'll be supporting the team whatever happens, because in our region, the club is a religion and we live for it. The public's support is a big advantage for our team and our support is unwavering.
This weekend, Lens drew at Le Havre, who have just been promoted to the 1st division.
The match wasn't exceptional, but there were quite a few absentees.
Wahi, the striker for example, was suspended. Players like Medina , Danso , Frankosky , Haidara , Samed and many others were away on international travel.
The match doesn't matter, because on Tuesday, it's the Champions League.
Lens is the smallest club in the LDC, but has some ambitions after drawing with Sevilla and beating Arsenal.
Today, the group is complete except for the long term injured. ( Cabot and Farinez )
Without a doubt, this match will be the turning point for qualification for the last 16, and the team will give everything on the pitch as it did against Arsenal.
Regardless of the team they play, Lens can win, as they have already done against some of Europe's top teams like PSG and Arsenal

    RC LENS to win tonight

Never mind Chelsea  ,  Forest ruined my bet (or rather the manager did )   2-0 up on 88mins , He makes 4 substitutions   , let a goal in  , He then makes 2 more  , let another goal in  , why do managers think this is the thing to do  , 6 players cold to the game  , no wonder they can`t defend  .

Got a real quandary about the Balmoral Handicap which closes the card  .  On the Ascot web site it says under extreme very soft/heavy conditions high numbers are favoured , but it has been several years since this bias can be confirmed as conditions haven`t been that bad .On top of that last years race under softish conditions the whole field went (for some unknown reason) over towards the low drawn side of the course .All the hold up horses were then squashed up on the rail and coudn`t get a run leaving the prominent racers in pole position .Would love some of the jockeys to stay down the high draw side , but believe they will just play follow my leader as usual.........so much so at this moment in time can`t find a bet.....any answers out there ?

Going for Sweet William ew at 10-1 in the stayers  .  Last time when beaten by Trueshan came cruising into the race and then faltered (perhaps on a bit of dodgy ground) and still ran on strongly to the line . All it`s best form on soft , also has a very pronounced knee action .If the real Kyprios turns up might just be playing for a place , but think it will get a nice tow into the race so might not have to hit the front too early .

The key stat is the draw with those drawn 1 - 11 producing 8 winners out of the last 9 with a profit of 81 points. Those drawn higher have 1 winner from 97 runners and a loss of 70 points. I wouldn't be put off by the going as 5 of the last 9 runnings have been on heavy or soft going.
All 9 winners last ran 14 to 25 days ago with a profit of 99 points.
Only 1 winner from 113 runners has had forecast odds higher the 14/1.
This leaves BOPEDRO at 16/1 (5 places).
