Thanks guys for all the comments! Hopefully the rain delay changes the momentum!
Yulia Putintseva to beat Greetje Minnen at 1.73 with William Hill
Putintseva has certainly improved a lot since last year, she's leaner and moving better, also less mental demons it seems to me. She even troubled Swiatek a little bit in Indian Wells, though it really wasn't close in the end. Minnen tends to have issues against good defenders, and Putintseva is a first-class one right now, and beating Samsonova in the previous round must've prepared her for this well.

I think Elina Avanesyan has a very good shot at beating Ons Javeur. Jabuer right off form losing in straight sets to Volynets, Tsurenko and Haddad Maia. In between she won a couple of matches against Starodubtseva, Bronzettie and Krueger, but she was an overwhelming favorite for all 3 of those.
Avanesyan demolished Andreeva. It was a proper spanking after being iced 2nd set (6-0  3-6  6-1)
1st set was literally 18 minutes. Andreeva then went for a bathroom break of 6 minutes which is a joke (impossible to be tired after 18 minutes of tennis).  Avanesyan then squashed her in the 3rd (6-1).  Avanesyan is very good. Physically fit and strong, and mentally tough, with confidence and a level of calmness.
For me Jabeur looks the opposite. Unfit and at odds with her game, having lost 1st match in Qatar and Indian Wells. Taking the straight win for Avanesyan here but may even go whole hog and go for 2-0 in sets which is 4.5

I don't think Murray beats Etcheverry. Etcheverry beat him convincingly at the Aussie open, and Murray just does not have the physical capacity to play the grinding game, like he did in the past. He used to be the "Grinder" and now he is the "Grindee".
OK, he beat Berrettini but Berrettini served poorly (64% 1st serve in). I watched Berrettini at the Aussie open v Kevin Anderson a few years back and he made 15 first serves in a row, so he is some way from his best. If his 1st serve is off, he struggles ...  when it's on he gets endless freebee's.
Murray should be figuring out how to shorten matches, volley and be more aggressive. The older he gets, the more his physical ability diminishes. Quicker matches helps him, and grinding 3 setters don't. But he refuses to try andything different, and the old way will not deliver any more.

    E. Arango to beat L. Fernandez - 4.8 Betfair
Fernandez has lost 4 of her last 5 matches, only beating the horrendously bad Pera recently. She retired in San Diego, on her vlog she was having trouble with her shoulder in Dubai I think it was so that could be the issue with her recent form because shoulders are important in tennis and if it's hurting, you can't play your game.
Arango on the other hand came through qualifying here with three underdog wins and can move well getting lots of balls back.
If Leylah is mostly fit she should come through but I think 1.25 is a bit short so going for Arango at this price.

I think Humphries is the best bet tonight, for me. Missed the last Players Championship (PC4) and will come into this fresh. He performed well last week and to be fair, was unlucky. I think he gets past Cross without any issue and then he'll face Smith or Aspinall. We saw with Aspinall last week that even when he on fire he couldn't get the better of Cool Hand. I'll also take him to win and hit most 180s in his match with Cross.
3pts Humphries to win the night 3/1 Paddypower
2.5pts Humphries to beat Cross and hit most 180s 11/10 Skybet
2pts Littler to beat Wright and hit most 100+ checkouts 6/4 Bet365
    1pt 4-fold - Aspinall / Humphries win and most 180s / Littler / MVG 8/1 Paddypower

    C. Gauff to beat A. Sabalenka - 2.92 with Betfair
Gauff can win ugly if needed and Sabalenka has huge problems in Slam semi finals. Little bit of value for me here.

Back Will Novak Djokovic win the Australian Open? - No at 1.82 with Pinnacle
I'm going to go against most of the forum here, but I'm just not that convinced by Novak. He struggled big time ahead of the Australian Open, and, before that Mannarino beatdown, he had some issues as well. It's going to get tougher from now on, and there are some solid candidates in Sinner, Alcaraz, and co. I'd be surprised, but not shocked, to see him lose against Fritz in the very next round.

Ajla Tomljanovic (+6) to beat Jelena Ostapenko at 1.51 with Pinnacle
I'm a bit low on confidence right now, but I like this alternative line. Tomljanovic has always covered this line against Ostapenko, and the Australian will have the full house on her side in this meeting as well. She's been in a fine enough nick so far in 2024 and, while I don't think it will be enough to get a win against Ostapenko, I don't really see a blowout here.

Jaume Munar to win 2 sets against Ad. Mannarino - No @1.72 with bet365
I'm picturing a straight set victory for Mannarino (currently at 3.00), since I feel that there's an almost chaotic difference between the two opponents. Mannarino is superior in all areas and I doubt the Spaniard can do much to prevent his elimination. One set, tops (3-0 or 3-1).
I'm gonna combine the above (1.72) with Tsitsipas (1.2) & Seb Korda (1.25). It's hard to imagine Thompson or Halys stopping these guys who entered the AO with much ambition and desire to go very deep.
I know Alex de Minaur is in form at the start of 2024 with some substantial wins (Zverev, Djokovic), but I think Matteo Arnaldi can certainly win this match, let alone a set (1.65) or two (2.75).
    Good luck.

A lot of riskt bets in my opinion. Can't trust Fritz to win 3:0 on anyday as he makes a lot of mistakes. Watched his match against Diaz Acosta and things weren't great.
Auger is so out of form that I can't trust him to not lose a set either.
For Monfils as you said it's probably going to be at least 4 sets and you can play it over 3.5 sets at 1.58, looks more save in my opinion.

    I am going for:
Cocciaretto to beat Sun - 1.81 with Pinnacle
Sun plays lower level tennis and shouldn't be this low against a top 70 player in a grand slam. In 13 matches against the current top 100 going back to May 2022 she's won 2. Against Boulter indoors and against a very out of form Blinkova in September.
Gadecki to beat Stephens - 2.82 with Pinnacle
Gadecki had a tight first set against Rybakina before going three sets with Qinwen, she's at home and will have the crowd behind her against someone who only turns up half the time. Stephens should be favourite but 1.53 is too short for me.
Minnen to beat Tauson - 3.09 with Pinnacle
Tauson has only one victory against someone in the top 150 in her last 12 matches. Her last 5 defeats have come against players ranked 123, 235, 118, 371 and 526. She also hates the heat and her fitness takes a back seat when it's hot. I don't see how she's 1.41.
Yuan to beat Boulter - 2.44 with Pinnacle
Yuan has played much more on hardcourt than Boulter. Boulter lost in R1 last week while Yuan reached the SF in Hobart beating Putintseva, Sloane, Xinyu and Podoroska on the way. Her last two defeats were against Navarro and Martic who are much better than Boulter. Last year she finished reaching 4 finals in a row (some at lower level) so should be confident.
Boulter should have the edge but not by this much.

He can't complain about the chances he(Mark) had to make it closer, hope Ali gets stuffed by Ronnie tomorrow! 17-1 H2H doesn't bode well for him. Reminds me of that funny tennis quote by Vitis Geralitis about getting beaten 17 times in a row.

Allen needs to start better. He seems to recently start games poorly and has gone 3-1 down to Higgins and 4-1 down to Selby. Seems to have about 20 cups of tea a frame, too

Playing Carter is certainly an easier path to the final than playing Judd. But tonight's hurdle is a big one, and I doubt he'll get past it.

    Sebastian Korda at 126.00 bet365
Sebastian Korda to win the 2nd quarter at 15.00 bet365
Great footwork, so light on his feet... A bit federeresque in a way, his style of play, his general composure.. the all court type play. I love that he deploys the serve & volley tactic against formidable players who cannot be beaten otherwise (defeated Medvedev 3-0 AO 3rd round).
Andy Murray to win the 1st quarter at 80.00 Stoiximan
If - and that is a huge if - he somehow finds a way to reach the 3rd - 4th round, then great things can happen for this guy in Melbourne. It's the start of the season and all players have huge levels of energy. I think 80.00 is definitely wrong here.
    AO - Women
    Winning Quarter - the 2nd quarter at 4.00 bet365
Rybakina, Pegula , Qinwen Zheng are at this quarter.

    Good luck.
