Really looking forward to Krejcikova - Swiatek...Krejcikova has been really impressive recently, and 6.00+ is an insult, really.

The disrespect to hang a 6/1 number on the only person to beat Iga in a final since the pandemic...

Krejcikova beat the #1, #2 & #3 at the same tournament. She joins Venus, Serena, Graf and Sabalenka among those who have accomplished that.

Camila Giorgi to beat (-1.5 sets) Sloane Stephens at 2.63 with Unibet

Also gonna have a go at Camila in Merida. These two have met eachother 5 times and 4 of those have been on hardcourts, 3 outside the US and this is the fourth on hard outside US. Camila has won in straight sets very easy all 3 times on hard outside US. Sloane won 11 years ago, a result I wouldn't read too much into and she won on clay in RG in 3 sets. My bet will be Camila to win this once again in 2 sets as the italian could easily run away with it. Also Sloane didn't look convincing in her win over Gracheva in 3. Camila has looked good enough for a straight set win here.

Sloane Stephens in altitude... I wouldn't go against her. If the WTA played their entire season in altitude, Sloane Stephens would be a top 10 player.

  3. A few thoughts on Medvedev.

The ATP Tour has started to figure out the optimal tactics to not only beat Medvedev but frustrate him beyond belief. Many players, even those without a big serve, are beginning to deploy the serve-and-volley tactic on Medvedev, and given how far back Medvedev stands, it's a tactic that really can't fail. Even as quick as Medvedev is, and as long a stride as he has, it is simply not possible to make up the ground on a good serve-and-volley. When you take Medvedev's return game out of the equation, there's suddenly little margin for error in his service games. He will continue to be treated as a top-three player, and there are going to be increased situations where he is simply priced too short as the season progresses.

    -------------------------------
    0.5pts e/w Milkins 80/1 willhill
    0.5pts e/w Selt 100/1 willhill

I'll side with these two. ???

  5. Yibing Wu to beat John Isner at 1.8 with bet365

I feel very confident that Wu is going to win tonight. The guy has a monstrous game. He beat Shapovalov and Mannarino in straight sets. Taylor Fritz thought he could stop him after winning the first set last night, but that wasn't the case. Wu turned it around with ease. The Chinese player should have been the clear favorite tonight.

  6. Emilio Gomez to win a set against John Isner - Yes! at 2.1 with bet365

Borna Coric v Maxime Cressy - Total sets: 3 sets at 2.25 with bet365

Francisco Cerundolo to beat Federico Coria at 2.2 with bet365

Taylor Fritz v Marcos Giron - Match Result & Total games: Taylor Fritz & Under 21.5 games at 2.3 with bet365

Donna Vekic to win the 2nd set against Maria Sakkari in-play at 2.2 with bet365

    Trebles. Good luck.?

I don't think Rybakina moves well, but with both of them the game quality is dictated by the serve. It's such a different game to that of the average woman player, who battles to hold serve.

Not a blowout either way, but Sabalenka has not lost a match all year, and has not dropped a set this tournament. She also owns a 3-0 record against Rybakina.

    a 3-1 record.

I honestly have a different opinion on the women's. Rybakina seems far more reliable mentally, she has a GS title under her belt, and her motions, service or otherwise, look less likely to break down than Sabalenka's. The DF problem has been mitigated somewhat, but it most certainly hasn't been eliminated, at least not from what I saw in her match against Bencic.

Couldn't agree more. Rybakina is the best women's tennis player in the world right now. Just look at the level she has played throughout the tournament.

I get that Djoker is the big favourite to win the title at this point but I can't be having Tommy Paul at 33/1 (with Paddy Power) to win the whole thing, particularly when there's a chance (small I admit) that Novak's injury flares up again. Small wager obviously (also as I have a bigger bet from earlier for Novak to win the title!)

    ?

I think he might be able to win a set but it's really hard to imagine Tommy Paul beating Djokovic. Well, perhaps only if Novak's injury flares up again as you said.
