J.Sousa to beat H.Hurkacz at 2.37 with Pinnacle
I do not see Hurkacz as a big favorite here, he is neither in very good form nor has a great experience on this surface. He played only 4 matches on the grass and lost 2 of them on ATP level. Sousa is quite inconsistent in his performance, but he has more experience on the green surface and has already played 3 games, winning 2 of them. I think the Portuguese should have a slight advantage, and the odd 2.37 seems like a good bet.

Dzumhur (+1,5 sets) to beat Khachanov at 2.47 with Pinnacle
Surprisingly Dzumhur plays well on the grass. Last year he won the title in Antalya, and here in Halle he was eliminated by G.Dimitrov, but he managed to take a set. The interesting thing is that in most of the Bosnian grass matches he managed to win a set and he rarely lost in recent years without winning a set. Khachanov has a lot of dropouts in the 1st round this year and I personally will not be surprised if this match is closer than the odds suggest.

Garin to win a set is good enough for me. Odds are around 2.

Thanks mate. I know Berrettini is playing really well but giving him a 1.45 is absolutely exaggerated. This match can be decided by TB's considering how good are serving both players (Felix served 30 Aces against Brown and 15 against Simon in 2 sets).

Nikoloz Basilashvili to beat Matteo Berrettini at 3.50 with Bet365
Benoit Paire to beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at 3.00 with William Hill
Cameron Norrie to beat Kevin Anderson at 3.50 with Unibet
Alright, going with some underdogs in the first round next week, as I just like the odds honestly despite my really poor record on grass so far in this season. Berretini had a long week before Halle and Basilashvili is the type of a player who's always dangerous as an underdog, no reason to have him at 3.50 imo. Paire, on the other hand, has been better than Tsonga all year long and Tsonga didn't really impress me against Raonic, so, again, no reason to have him as such a big underdog I'd say. Finally, I'm also going to go for something even more speculative and back Norrie against Anderson, who's returning to the game after three months of absence. The South African is obviously the much better player of the two on grass, but Norrie will be at home and with more match fitness as well, so I think that there's some value in backing him for the upset.

Jarry to beat Gasquet at 2.11 with Pinnacle
For the first time after returning from an injury treatment Gasquet won two consecutive games in row, but to be honest we must say that his opponents were not impressive - Kukushkin and Beden. Remain a lot of questioning about the French's physical condition and now he has less time to rest. Jarry recorded an impressive victory against Tsitsipas and overall this player has been making progress in recent months. With his big service he has a great chance to win here.

Cristian Garin to beat (+1.5 set) Borna Coric at 1.71 with Pinnacle
Borna lacks that offensive firepower to blow Cristian off the court. I can't imagine Cristian not to take a set here because he's played well enough this tournament for that to happen and Borna didn't play great last match when he beat Taylor Fritz. Cristian should have a decent chance for a set here.

Lucas Pouille to beat Jan-Lennard Struff at 2.11 with Pinnacle
It's easy for me to pick the frenchman in this one when I look at their head-to-head which reads 3-1 Lucas, all three times Lucas won was in 2017 and the one he lost was 2013 before he reached his higher level of play. The last two times they've met was on grass in Stuttgart and Halle and J-LS lost in 3 after winning first set both times. I consider Lucas level higher than J-LS level ever will be.

Seppi to beat De Minaur at 2.92 with Marathonbet
The same case again. Two players out of shape, but most of the experience of this surface, big service and one already played match give a slight advantage to Seppi in my opinion. Here we have odds close to 3 for his win and I cannot ignore it.

Gulbis to beat Auger-Aliassime at 2.50 with Bet365
A-A has no experience at grass courts and will play for the first year in a tournament from the ATP calendar. Gulbis is extremely unstable in his performances but on a good day he can beat everyone. In the last two years he won against  A.Zverev and Del Potro on grass and somehow I do not see him as a big outsider here.

Davidovich Fokina to beat Mahut at 2.75 with Unibet
Fokina won the 2017 Wimbledon boys singles title without dropping a set, so he can be a dangerous player on this surface. He has improved his game a lot in recent months and i think that he has a good chance of winning here. Mahut has not performed very well in the past 2 years on grass, although with his service he should feel comfortable on the green surface. I expect to be little tired after RG and i think that the Spaniard will win here.

Vondrousova to beat Barty - 2.52 with Betfair
Barty had some nervous moments in the last match, leading 5-0 and losing the first set and although she's a good fighter, she will no doubt have some more worries in the final.
Vondrousova has had less wobbles, hasn't dropped a set against tough players and I think she should be shorter than 2.52.
    I'm on.

Marius Copil to beat Dan Evans at 2.63 with Pinnacle
I've checked Dans grass statistics and he's 14-11 on grass on the challenger tour. Marius is 12-5 on grass on the challenger tour. They have met once before in 2016 and it's was on grass in Surbiton and Marius won easily in straight sets. Marius haven't droped a set all week and toyed with Matt Ebden yesterday. He's better than Dan on grass and should have more than a decent chance of winning this matchup again.

Fabio Fognini to beat Alexander Zverev at 1.85 with BetVictor
While it might be strange to have Fognini as the favourite here from a certain point of view, I think it's absolutely justified, as Zverev hasn't been good at all recently. Should've been 3-0 against Millman, was 3-2. Should've been 3-0 against Lajovic, was 3-2. Fognini can go nuts, of course, but seeing Zverev on the other side of the net should provide him with enough motivation and he looked surprisingly solid against RBA in crucial moments. Given all that, I think that it's not hard to side with the Italian in this one.

Moutet to beat Londero at 2.50 with Bet365
Moutet recorded an impressive victory in the last round against Pella and last week showed good tennis in Lion where he beat Opelka and lost in close match against the Bautista Agut. Frenchman is in good shape and with the crowd at his back he has a good chance of winning. Londero made an impressive season, but his best results were in South America, so far he has not shown anything in Europe. Moutet has a better chance of win than the odds suggest for me.

Nicolas Mahut to beat Leonardo Mayer at 3.95 with 888sport
The man is on a mission and he had 2-0 on Marco Cecchinato and 1-0 on Philipp Kohlschreiber and he's got 2-0 in this matchup and both times in straight sets and once on clay. I like home players on a mission so Nicolas to win this for me.

Nicolas Jarry to beat (-1.5 games) Sascha Zverev at 3.20 with Unibet
This doesn't feel to farfetched. Jarry won their latest meeting in Munich and whoever has improved the most and learned the most out of that encounter will win this match. And it is not Sascha who's improved the most since Munich, he hasn't played any impressive tennis in Geneva. Last match when Sascha beat Fed Delbonis was like a rollercoaster in first set and second wasn't mutch different. While Sascha was playing as if it was his first semifinal ever Nicolas dominated Radu Albot in straight sets rout.
I can understand why Sascha is the favourite and it's because of his ranking but he's not playing some big time tennis exactly. If Sascha turns up with his B-game like he's done so often this season he'll be on the losing end in another final this season and in straight sets too probably.
For me this can be Nicolas first title to follow in the footsteps of his countryman Christian Garin.

Diane Parry to beat Vera Lapko at 5.10 with Unibet
Unibet have a 1st set rule for retirements and great odds for this, so I'm going to bite. I've been watching Parry recently and she's not bad at all, she can certainly play well in France and I'm sure that she's going to play her heart out here. Obviously, there's a massive quality gap between the two and Lapko should be able to win this 6-2 6-2 or so on that basis, but she's been pretty poor so far this season and even retired last time out, so I don't really trust her. She's certainly not a player that you should be adding to your first round accas for various reasons and I'm even willing to go against her at massive odds.
Barbora Strycova to beat Samantha Stosur at 1.60 with Pinnacle
Stosur has been falling away from the top for quite a few years now and the return to clay hasn't really helped her either, she was really poor last time out and I can't even remember seeing her play well. Strycova can have her bad days, of course, but she's been doing much better than Stosur recently and the fact that this isn't reflected all that much in her W/L ratio is down to some bad draws imo.
    J.Tipsarevic/G.Dimitrov - Over 3.5 sets at 1.90 with Betsson
Although I don't really see Dimitrov failing yet again, Tipsarevic should be able to hit freely and get something. Both guys are the types to get stuck into some sort of a dogfight with plenty of nerves and momentum shifts, so I like the odds for this going on for at least a little while.

T.Daniel to beat Jarry at 2.75 with Bet365
I think that Jary is a little overrated here. He is not in good shape at all, he has defeated 2 opponents so far, but Kudla and Ebden are neither in good shape nor prefer to play on clay. Daniel has recorded an impressive victory over Garin, a player who has been impressed in recent months.  For me the odds should be more equal and I am happy to get 2.75 for Daniel’s win here.
