Went for Born Famous for the Summer Plate last night but the price has halved now. Showed very little in Ireland in 10 races...then comes over here and wins 4 in a row. The Aintree win over hurdles looks good form with the front 2 pulling clear and the runner up winning her next 2 races. Didn't beat much at Perth but finished full of beans and there could be loads of improvement to come. Lovely low weight, Cobden booked and money has come. Wins. Must have been very well handicapped as she was tailed off most of the way after Cobden seemed to be asleep at the start.

I'm not into racing podcasts but I would definitely listen to one co-hosted by Zilzalian and The Equaliser. Could be racing's Siskel and Ebert.

I've backed Myristica as well (6/1). 112 looks a good mark on her novice wins. Allihies won a handicap off 110 after she beat him 3 lengths giving 2 lbs last time at Worcester. This is a big step up and definitely some dangers but should run her race and be thereabouts. Every chance but faded on the run in.

It was soft at Newbury but that was after a long lay off.

I'd do what MCCLARKE said while you have the offers. Watch the races and get a feel for things, @Zilzalian is brilliant for advice, I'm sure he'll give you some pointers if he's online.

Magical Effect 5:10 Catterick (6/1 betfair exchange). Give this one more chance. Hope he gets out the gates a bit quicker this time, So slowly into stride again no more chances from me, so no doubt he will win by 5 lengths next time.

Gone for a couple at Thirsk. Magical Effect 4:50 (20/1 Bet365). 11 year old but still seems to retain ability. On a winnable mark and has a victory over CD a while ago. Slowly away last time when nibbled in the market and not persevered with but stayed on. Could have a chance today at a big price if getting away on terms. Mr Wagyu 5:20 (9/4 Bet365...gone 2/1 now). Been running well in good races without quite getting there. Down in grade and should be thereabouts. Magical Effect was frustrating as feel like I had the right horse but you still need the race to pan out. Wasted a lot of juice failing to get across at the start for no benefit, should have just slotted in after he was fairly slowly away. Mr Wagyu was awful, Ascot must have left a mark and just a very flat run.

Roscioli 2:25 Brighton (6/1). Seemed to appreciate return to turf when winning a match over this course and distance last month. Given RPR of 73 for that and runs off same mark of 65 again today. Seems well drawn in 3. Sporting Sam and MCCLARKE have gone for a different selection each in this, so between the three of us we should have a chance 😝 Got the lead but looked a sitting duck for the fav....chalk another one up to Sporting Sam 👌

Might give Sao another chance at 6/1, on a great mark now. Tricky to win with as he's a lunatic. Jumped well and looked like getting the job done at Perth last time (1/5 in running) but had got very hot and sweaty pre-race and that probably cost him. Giving up on that one, jumped and travelled well but didn't find much. Props to Villa Chris 10/1 winner

Adelaide River looked like he could win if they wanted him to.

Organdi 3:12 Uttox (33/1 6 places skybet. 40/1 5 places everywhere else). Backed her last time at Cartmel and she ran a nice race, possibly going for home too soon. Down a useful 2lb for that and has a nicer racing weight today after lumping round 11st 11lb there. Skybet paying 6 places, so she's worth a nibble e/w as she's in form and a bit underrated. Twig is the fav and is the most obvious one with the claimer taking 7lb off. Very poor, never looked like getting involved 🤢 Twig battled well to win.

Non runner now anyway 🙁

This is 2M 1f, but did used to run over 2m in Ireland years ago. Good luck with this one! You'd think they could find an easier race for him though.
