      The ROI from blindly backing every selection at best price has fallen away a bit but the "bet" ROI has held up better so (for now at least) it looks like the system is adding a bit more value. Real money returns from all RL bets are currently just shy of 23%. Makes you wonder why I bother betting on footy eking out a single digit return! :)

      Lovely advised 11/4 winner with KAMARO D'HUEZ (returned a well backed 5/4 favourite) in France from only French advice given last night.

      Thought Bet365 were giving punters a great chance for profit last night with that and Game Of Storm both 11/4 so backing either was profit if both covered in singles.

      Le Listrac ran a blinder unfortunately to deny us the forecast as well with Game Of Storm finishing 3rd.

      The winner was the important thing.

      Sometimes what looks possibly easy money is EASY MONEY.

      Hope some of you were on.

      Goalscorer Bets Thoughts and Strategy

      Overall picture at the end of the first quarter is a modest profit. 1148 bets with an ROI of 1.95%. Small loss in February with a 3.3% ish return in the other 2 months.

      The breakdown looks like this:

      • System picks: 492 bets with an ROI of 7.47%. Profitable every month.
      • Chase (exchange) bets: 397 bets with an ROI of -1.91%. Profitable in January, slightly down overall at the end of Feb and further loss last month.
      • Study bets: 259 bets with an ROI of -4.49%. Made a loss every month though only been one winner short of a profit in the last couple of months.

      Obviously carry on with the system picks (though there may be some scope to improve the returns further) and need to improve the quality of the study bets but, as the loss has been so small in the last couple of months it's not yet time to give up on them. Jury still out on the "chase" bets (where it's no bet with the bookies but I try and get my minimum price on the exchange). Did have a decent start to the year in January but a couple of bad months since. I still have the nagging suspicion that the the layers on the exchange are possibly too smart to beat in the long run.
