jovinco
Re: Israel Premier League (Ligat Toto) 2010/2011 Premier League Roundup Maccabi Haifa (won by the single goal v Sakhnin) has pulled ahead at the top after the standoff at the Tel Aviv Derby, while the two "dark horses", Kiryat Shmona and Maccabi Petach Tikva, have stumbled against the smaller fry (Hapoel Haifa and Hapoel Petach Tikva respectively) Kiryat Shmona has lost its barometer, midfielder Elroy Cohen (who moved to Hapoel Tel Aviv), but will surely regroup and recover. At the bottom, Ramat Gan's state is getting desperate by the day. Ashdod (11th) is not going to be relegated but definitely need to smarten up after concedind 12 goals in the last three games. Setup
Re: Israel Premier League (Ligat Toto) 2010/2011 Hapoel Petah Tikva - Hapoel Beer Sheva Petah Tikva are coming to this game with positive attidute and good momentum. They stuned Maccabi Tel Aviv in the cup two weeks ago and on Saturday, they won the derby of city 3-2, coming back from 2-0. Petah Tikva will miss goalkeeper Snir Dori who got a 2 game suspension after a fight he had on the derby with a Maccabi's player. Captain Gal Cohen will also miss the game due to an injurey. Midfielder Guy Tzarfati, will too miss the game due to 5 yellow cards. All three are key players for Petah Tikva. Beer Sheva are coming after a blow out 5-0 over Ashdod. They played an intelligent, flowing and attacking game and I enjoyed watching them. Lior Asulin, top scorer of the team, is back after missing last game, which means Beer Sheva will play a 4-4-2 formation with Asulin and Dovev Gabay (who had a dreamy debut last week with a hatrick). With midfielders Eran Levi and David Revivo I expect to see Beer Sheva scoring some goals today. I think Petah Tikva coming a bit cocky after their 2 wins and coach saying to the media: "We are playing the best football in Israel right now", and I think it will hurt them. jovinco
Re: Israel Premier League (Ligat Toto) 2010/2011 Hapoel Haifa v Maccabi Petach Tikva Maccabi are back on track (4:1 over Ramat Gan) after two losses. They have already shown some top material but are betrayed by their sloppiness, especialy at home. Hapoel, the epitome of mediocrity, are after a big win (1:0 at Maccabi Tel Aviv). However, their excellent record against top teams, due to a counter-attacking style, is probably not going to work against one of the best away teams in the League (W6 D2 L3). jovinco
Re: Israel Premier League (Ligat Toto) 2010/2011 Acre v Netanya Admittedly, Acre is solid at home (W7 D2 L2). But Netanya are reasonable (W3 D3 L5) away, and Acre, however commited, lost the magic that has characterized its game until two months ago (W1 D3 L2 last six games). Netanya are three wins in a row and though risky, the game is poised for the draw. Netanya +0.25 1.99 Pinnacle
jovinco
Re: Israel Premier League (Ligat Toto) 2010/2011 Hapoel Tel Aviv v Maccabi Haifa Both had their ups and downs this season. Haifa has shrugged mediocrity and failed signings, while Hapoel had to shake the effort made playing in the Champions League group stage, important players (CB Douglas and Striker Itai Shekhter) missing and Eli Gutman's (Hapoel's manager) heart attack. But both are here, to contend the title again. The premier League will go to a playoff stage after the ordinary league has ended, so today's game lies mostly on prestige and confidence. Hapoel took the last two games (both held at Kiryat Eliezer, Haifa's home ground), but many things has changed. Haifa has adopted an effective, however boring, style (W9 D2 away from home) while Hapoel, beside great games, had some lousy performances. Even more important, Haifa will play as an underdog, without expectations. Which might prove a priceless asset in such games. Setup
Israeli State Cup Final Maccabi Haifa - Hapoel Tel Aviv The state cup final. For Maccabi Haifa, it's double or nothing. After winning the league, Haifa are coming to take the second title - the cup. They haven't won the double since 1991. The moral in Haifa is high and atmosphere is great. On the other hand, Hapoel are coming as an underdog. Conflicts between the 2 owners and the future doesn't seem bright. All key players of the team will leave to Europe next season and that raises the question how Hapoel will look next year. But before talking about next season, we have the cup today. Hapoel will miss Shechter (striker who has been injured for a long time) and Gili Vermut (best midfielder of Hapoel). Coach Eli Gutan replaced Eran Zehavi (another key player) last game, and created an incident between the two. My bet is Haifa To Win The Cup @ 1.53 Victor Chandler. Haifa have better players on the bench if the game will go to an overtime and all in all I believe that Haifa have peaked in the right time of the season and with their current form they should win this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This is my last bet of the season and I enjoyed my time here, although the break I took in the middle of the season. Finished the season with 27% Roi which I believe is good and hoping to be here also next season. Good luck to you all! :beer
