FCP
Re: Israel Premier League (Ligat Toto) 2010/2011 Event Maccabi Tel Aviv - Beitar Jerusalem Selection Maccabi Tel Aviv Strength 10/10 Date 10/01/2011 Bookmaker/Price Betclic @ 1.70 Reasoning Maccabi Tel Aviv has the chance of return to the third position in the table, after the defeat they had on last game at the leader Maccabi Haifa. They will receive Beitar Jerusalem who had a disappointing draw at home against the direct rival Maccabi Netanya. Beitar Jerusalem is a very weak away team and they only won five points on eight games they played away. Far from being a easy game to the hosts, they have a very positive record when they receive Beitar Jerusalem. Favoritism is back them. jovinco
Re: Israel Premier League (Ligat Toto) 2010/2011 Premier League Roundup It is interesting, in such banal round, to turn one's gaze to the mid-table. Five teams will fight to avoid the (11th -16th sides) relegation playoff. Bnei Yehuda: Dror Kashtan's (former national manager) signing turns out a failure as Bnei Yehuda can hardly score (13 goals, penultimate in the Premier League) and stands with a five no win streak now. Beitar Jerusalem: Beitar never knew what to expect from this season, but take a three win streak (mainly against the smaller fry) a lack of tactical nous is putting Beitar in unfavorable position almost every game. Ashdod: meticulous preparation has been frustrated by the lack of form of its front line, while the whole team has been devoid of poise especially when playing as favorites. Netanya: has opened the season with panache but goals are hard to come by now (three in nine games) However, Reuven Atar, Netanya's manager, has succeeded in stabilizing the team in the last month. Hapoel Haifa: haifa's season was opened with three wins in a row, followed by three loses. The instability of this unpromising crew, which depends on execution on a sole player (Eden Ben Basat), is continuing to this day. Setup
Re: Israel Premier League (Ligat Toto) 2010/2011 Beitar Jerusalem - Maccabi Petah Tikva Strange odds for this encounter. Beitar are favourites for some reason but all I can see in their end is problems. Last week against Maccabi Tel Aviv, they were able to come out with only a minimal loss 1-0 but it could easily be 3-0. Beitar will miss their captain Aviram Bruchian which is a very important player. Fernandez, Alvarez and Eili left the team and still no new players for Beitar. Coach Uri Malmilian will try to make some changes and will put striker Samuel Yeboah on the bench. Moshe Ben Lulu will replace him. Petah Tikva is a solid team this season. Although they lost last week 3-1 to Maccabi Haifa, they didn't play bad. Petah Tikva have some problems in defense for this game. Central defender Nitzan Damari and for a right back will start Asi Mashiah who is generally a midfielder. Petah Tikva welcome back striker Omer Damari, who is important for their offense. I believe that Petah Tikva's offense can cause damage to Beitar. Petah Tikva DNB @ 2.2 Bet365
Setup
Re: Israel Premier League (Ligat Toto) 2010/2011 Hapoel Petah Tikva - Hapoel Kiryat Shmona Petah Tikva lost two important players during the transfer market: striker Dudu Biton who scored almost every goal of the team and defensive midfielder Jonathan Asus who was the captain of the team. Petah Tikva will have to manage without these two and without their new captain Gal Cohen who has 5 yellow cards. In the center of defense Igal Antebi will start instead of Cohen. Antebi is a wing back and I don't think putting him as a central defende is a smart move. He would have difficulties handling with Kiryat Shmona's pace. Kiryat Shmona ended a 5 games winless streak with a solid 3-0 over Ashdod. They are still missing midfielder Elroi Cohen and Strike Amashe. Last week they were able to score 3 goals without those two and it will be intresting to see how they will manage today. This game depends only in Kiryat Shmona in my opinion. jovinco
Re: Israel Premier League (Ligat Toto) 2010/2011 Premier League Roundup Center stage this week took the resignation of Beitar's manager, Uri Malmilian. Beitar is not going to be relegated anyway, but they seemed ineffective against even mediocre teams (like both Hapoel and Maccabi Petach tikva) at home. No doubt Malmilian, a true icon, was handed a tough job, but he failed to install a tactical plan that will give them an edge. Roni Levi, the new manager, took three championships in a row with Maccabi Haifa (03'-07') but missed mesmerizing chances to qualify for the Champions League group stages. He was piped by Moti Ivanir in the race to manage Maccabi Tel Aviv (after Avi Nimni's sacking) mostly as he seems an unknown quantity. Ramat Gan (managerless now after Zvi Zemach, its second manager this season, resigns) and Hapoel Petach Tikva (1:3 home loss to Kiryat Shmona) are deteriorating fast. Ramat Gan has brought five new players in January, but the 0:4 home loss against Ashkelon (another bottom side) shows you some things don't change. Anybody know something more about it? Is that justify to bet against them or they problems are not that big? Ashkelon has indeed suffered a flu pandemic this week, and had its full training session only yesterday. Yaniv Elul (CB) and Snir Gueta (MF) will miss tomorrow's home game, while Ravid Gazal (MF) and both strikers, Ilya Yevruyan and Serge Aily, will probably take part in the game despite being unewell still. Ashkelon will bring only 14 players to the game Vs hapoel Haifa. All in all, the hit has more to do with the lack of game fitness and mental preperation and could certainly amount to a loss of points to the stubborn visitors. Setup
Re: Israel Premier League (Ligat Toto) 2010/2011 Ashdod - Maccabi Petah Tikva Ashdod come to this match after a defeat 4-1 against Maccabi Tel Aviv. Ashdod in their last 3 home games achieved 3 wins but they are unstable. Ashdod now have a problem with their strikers. Idan Shriki, who will be in the starting eleven, scored only 2 goals so far, the last one in the 9th round in November, 2 months ago. Coach haven't decided who will be the second striker: Dimitar Mekriev or Nevo Mizrahi. Mekriev used to be a sure bet but something happended to the bulgarian striker. He seems turned off and heavier than before. Maccabi Petah Tikva are coming after a very surprising loss to Bnei Sachnin in a match that should have won easily. Goalkeeper Rubi Lebkovich will probably be replaced today after showing weak skills over the past games. Left wing back Kobi Ganon will be back after injury. A draw is a possibility for this encounter but I will go with the away team, Maccabi Petah Tikva DNB @ 2.1 Bet365

Setup
Re: Israel Premier League (Ligat Toto) 2010/2011 Hapoel Beer Sheva - Ashdod Beer Sheva had an easy game on the cup Tuesday which they won 4-1 and quilified to the next round. Beer Sheva are not in good shape. Only one win in their last 8 games is a record they want to improve. Beer Sheva bought striker Dovev Gabay who will make his debut appearence insted of striker Lior Asulin who is suspeneded. Another new player is midfielder Ibrahim Abdul Razek (from Hapoel Aco) who will also start. As I menioned Beer Sheva will miss Lior Asulin, the top scorer of the team with 6 goals. After selling Maor Melikson to Wisla Krakov it will be intresting to see how the front line of Beer Sheva will manage. Ashdod also quilified to the next round of the cup after a small 1-0 over Maccabi Petah Tikva on Wednesday. Midfielder Stefan King is back from suspension after missinng the cup game. Striker Dimitar Mekriev will not play and will probably leave the team next week. He will be replaced by young Nevo Mizrahi. As I said last week in my preview on Ashdod's game, they lack fire power and have no real scorer in the team. If Beer Sheva will connect quickly with their new players, they have a better roster and better players and I expect them to win this one. Eliaz Ace
Re: Israel Premier League (Ligat Toto) 2010/2011 Sport: Football (Israel) Event: Maccabi Petah Tikva v Hapoel Petah Tikva Selection: Maccabi Petah Tikva Strength: 10/10 Date: 05/02/2011 Bookmaker/Price: Paddy Power @ 1.73 Reasoning: 5th v the 15th... I have picked Maccabi for exactly 3 reasons 1. Previous meeting ended in a big 1-4 away win for Maccabi Petah 2. 6 games since a draw, 4 games since a home draw. So unlikely this is going to end as a draw. 3. Hapoel Petah has only got 3 clean sheets this season and they have 5 games since a win. So in a stastical point of view, Maccabi would be a good pick.:ok
jovinco
Beer Sheva @ 1.9 Bet365 Had you decided to throw your lot with my friend stetup you can get Beer Sheva on a really tempting odds of 1.99/1.98 on 188bet/VC respectively. One or two things you'd like to consider: Beer Sheva hardly puts its tactical advantage to easy wins (eight from its ten home games have gone under) while Ashdod have alredy gone against the grain twice this season (1:1 and 2:0 away to Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Tel Aviv respectively) A narrow home victory (at good odds) is likely here, but I wouldn't bet on it. Maccabi has shown flair and panache in many games. An early Maccabi goal will probably kill the game. Maccabi, however, took a body blow in midweek (0:1 v Ashdod in the cup) while Hapoel, to the contrary, have knocked out Maccabi Tel Aviv 3:1. Moral might play an important role this time so Hapoel Petach Tikva +0.75 1.99 188bet

jovinco
Re: Israel Premier League (Ligat Toto) 2010/2011 Maccabi Tel Aviv v Hapoel Tel Aviv Maccabi enters the "Big Derby" as clear underdog. The 1:3 cup loss to Hapoel Petach Tikva has left the Yellows reeling, after a three win spell has raised hopes for Moti Ivanir, their new manager. Hapoel are in a managerial turmoil of their own. Eli Gutman, Hapoel's manager, is recovering from a heart attack and the Derby will see Yosi Abuksis, the assistant manager on the lines. Hapoel has lost center back Douglas de Silva (transfer) and striker Itai Shekhter (shoulder) and though nothing seems to hinder Hapoel on the pitch, it didn't met with serious opponents recently. Most people treat this game as a foregone conclusion This might tip the scales, ironically, in Maccabi's favour.
