Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 12.20 Lingfield Orangeleg is unexposed but failed to impress on his one start on his debut on the aw and although likely to have needed the run its enough to put me off for now. Artesium is drawn well in stall 2 and now drops 2lb below last winning mark and although not the most reliable sort he did show signs of life last time out at southwell over this trip and he is probably better on the polytrack than the fibresand so if building on that and taking advantage of the reduced mark could go well. The other that interests me now back on polytrack having shown some life again on the fibresand at southwell is city high kid, she used to be fairly prolific on the aw with 6 wins and 11 places from 40 starts and had been showing a return to form was imminent with a 3rd at wolverhampton and a good enough 6th at southwell last time out especially now he is 8lb lower than last winning mark!! 0.25pt e/w artesium 14/1 pp 0.25pt e/w the city kid 12/1 totesport 1.55 Lingfield Dianes choice has been running well on the polytrack and most defenetily consistent having finished 4th on last 4 starts and is now rated 6lb lower than last win over bath in august and clearly didn’t cope with the surface on last start in a claimer also not on favourable terms has a good draw in stall 3 and a further 2lb decrease in handicap than last run here. 0.5pt e/w dianes choice 8/1 bet365 3.35 Lingfield Dens gift is super consistent on the aw having only raced 7 times on it and won 3 and placed on 3, he remains on a career high mark as far as winning but is clearly still in good form going down by just a neck last time out behind the useful falcativ who has gone on to win an even better quality race since handicapper has only put him up a 1lb for that effort and if building on that could go well here. 1pt win dens gift 9/4 bet365 7.20 Kempton Tough handicap with many of these either in good form or on attractive marks and the market isn’t giving much away so gonna steer clear until nearer the time and see if 8 still go to post if they do The Tatling may well be able to run into a place at a bigger price having been in good form recently and should get a decent pace to come off which is vital for him and although still a few pound above last winning mark in the summer he looks capable of picking a small pot up this winter if he can forget about his disappointing run at southwell last time out. 7.50 Kempton Another tight handicap with many of these in good form but Dani’s girl has turned out some fairly impressive efforts over the jumps recently winning a listed handicap at ascot off a mark of 116 and is rated just 75 now on the flat, has never gone this far on the flat so this will either be the making of him on the flat or not but finally drops back to his last winning mark on the flat when landing a 20k handicap at galway and has been placed off marks as high as 94 and although shown very little on the flat on most recent starts if he can convert his hurdling work to the flat should be bang there. 1pt win danis girl 4/1 will hill 9.20 Kempton King of defence was an impressive winner 3 starts ago when meeting as much trouble as he could find in running and has since failed to live upto that although didn’t run a very bold race behind a decent winner in tiddlywinks last time out but at current prices is very little value and therefore gonna side with Fernando Torres who has beaten king of defence recently and was a decent winner over CD for new yard has since run respectable efforts over a mile now steps back down to 7f and has a decent draw in stall 9 and looks the value of the race at 13/2 (I would be happy to take anything from 5/1 upwards). 0.5pt e/w Fernando Torres 13/2 bet365

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 12.35 Lingfield VCbet are massive stand out price for Tanley at 16/1 and that looks massive, who is now only 1lb higher than last winning mark, has only won once but does run into the places on various occasions and does have a tendency to try and make all and just recently has seen these horses doing quite well at lingfield strangely and something to keep an eye on in my opinion, he ran out of the handicap last time by 3lb and was only beaten 3 lengths last time out stall 8 wont help but shouldn’t be too bad! 0.25pt e/w Tanley 16/1 vcbet 1.35 Lingfield Greystoke prince has been going extremely well for this young apprentice who claims 7lb and although has been put up 1lb for his consistency recently and this step back upto 7f looks sure to suit having found 6f far too sharp these days, he also still remains 11lb lower than last winning mark. 0.5pt e/w Greystoke Prince 7/1 2.10 Lingfield Wunder strike is searching for a 4 timer today and although this is probably a slightly better race than he is contested he looks the sort to follow up with a horse in superb form, does have the worse draw of the lot in stall 12 but has overcome wide draws before over CD, up 4lb for latest win which doesn’t look to harsh if still on this improvement curve. Ymir is a horse that has finished 2nd to wunder strike over cd and although hasn’t done much since but just run consistently and gets to run off same mark today and appears to go best round here and with front/forward runners doing reasonably well around lingfield at the moment he has to considered at a big price! 1pt win wunder strike 11/4 pp 0.25pt e/w ymir 16/1 totesport 2.40 Lingfield Marmooq continues to catch the eye at this trip and although was hoping for an e/w pricebehind the 2 unexposed maiden winners, but with one of them being withdrawn it now puts marmooq 2nd fav and probably rightly so. He won at his first try over this cd start on penultimate start and then ran just aswell when 3rd behind some potential well handicapped rivals at kempton, back to lingfield today and although up another 1lb could remain unexposed at this trip and certainly looks one to tread carefully with. 0.5pt e/w marmooq 9/2 stanjames 3.15 Lingfield The 2 market leaders attract me here with Little Richard looking as if he was running into form he really is an aw specialist having won 12 times on the aw and is still 1lb lower than last winning mark and although most wins have come at wolverhampton he is just as capable over at this track. Kickahead caught the eye last time out at kempton, he had previously shown marked improvement over the sticks and was held up in rear last time out and effort came to late but really stayed on strongly, still a maiden over the flat but remains lightly raced and looks the sort to continue improving if his hurdling form is anything to go by. 0.5pt win Little Richard 4/1 hills 0.5pt win Kickahead 11/4 bet365 3.45 Lingfield n/a 12.55 Southwell Prohibition ran awful last time out when a hot favourite at wolverhampton last time but had previously beat some useful sorts in his maiden and that makes his mark of 80 look extremely lenient, Spencer is ditched for Carson who is able to claim 3lb and has been riding very well recently if he can just get the horse settle this time unlike spencer could. He also won on heavy ground and a trip to southwell looks right up his street and looks a big price. 1pt e/w prohibition 4/1 bet365 3.05 Southwell First order looks a huge price for a horse that appeared to be running back into form at lingfield last time and is now 12lb lower than last win at great leighs and is just as effective over this surface but wide draw wont help but at 28/1 looks far too big! Ponting clearly has a liking for this surface having won twice here on 3 starts, although last time out it was only a claimer it wasn’t on that favourable of terms and course form is so vital round here he too looks way over priced, having been rated 75 when winning a maiden here and although not quite lived upto that mark looks capable off a mark of just 62. 0.25pt e/w first order 28/1 vcbet 0.25pt e/w ponting 10/1 totesport 3.35 Southwell Tri chara ran an absolute stonker last time out before appearing as though a return to form was imminent and his last win over cd was off a 7lb lower mark than he was rated, he appears to need to be up with the pace but last time out his apprentice jockey was unable to do this and cost him the race and is probably worth forgetting about! Dontuwishitwereso is wearing the blinkers for the first time today and has been consistent of late just finishing outside the places over this course and polytrack so appears in good health and if the blinkers bring out that little bit more sure to go well on a course where he won his maiden! 0.5pt e/w tri chara 9/2 bet365 0.25pt e/w dontuwishitwereso 8/1 totesport

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 2.35 Kempton Istiqdaam is lightly raced and likely to be plenty short enough in a market, 9lb rise in handicap is not over harsh especially since he looks unexposed but theres plenty of value to be had elsewhere with such a short fav. Wealdpark is not one to get over excited about at all but at 20/1 he is one to watch Hannon doesn’t keep many no hopers running and weald park looks no forlong hope having contested some hot contests in 2008 finshing 7th in the racing post trophy and 2nd in group 2 at newmarket he was once rated 105 now rated just 75 and takes a massive drop down in class from what he usually contests, last time out was in a class 2 handicap at lingfield now running in a class 5 handicap! Dinner date looks a fair price where as mister green’s price doesn’t really reflect his latest effort on his reappearance having gone down by just a neck over this trip at lingfield and Callan rides again and up 3lb in handicap but is reasonably lightly raced and only once over a mile he could be unexposed at this trip. 0.25pt e/w wealdpark 20/1 sj 0.25pt e/w mister green 13/2 bet365 3.35 Kempton Looking at the early market they appear to be fairly sweet on Tripitaka who did win well in maiden company and was then pulled up before making a winning comeback last time out beating the useful Brett Vale but otherwise it was a rather weak race and this looks a lot hotter but sure to be improvement there even off a 7lb high mark and wouldn’t put anyone off backing but too short for me personally at the mo. Dakiyah is lightly raced for a 6yr old and caused a bit of an upset back here in June over CD and is now 7lb higher having run extremely well in a listed event over CD which earnt her a rise of 5lb in the handicap but even so at 20/1 looks a good e/w bet having showed she is in good heart having finished 2nd in a maiden hurdle prior to running in listed company. Paktolos is warranted to go well at a bit bigger price having finished 2nd to the inform Mildoura last time out over this trip at lingfield in first time cheekpieces and is clearly a horse running into form and is now 6lb lower in handicap than last win over cd and with a useful 5lb claimer on board taking a further 5lb looks extremely dangerous if following up that run. 0.5pt e/w paktolos 8/1 bet365 0.35pt e/w dakiyah 20/1 bet365 4.05 Kempton Tiddliwinks has relished the switch back to the aw surfaces recently having finished 2nd on penultimate start and was then a ready winner last time out over 7f and cant see 6f being a problem and a 7lb rise in handicap looks fair enough and remain unexposed and open to further improvement and is a real speedy sort so your typical sort that is likely to run his race whilst in form and do very little when not. 1pt win tiddlywinks 5/2 bet365

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 12.10 Southwell Angle of attack ran out a decent winner in a similar weak event over CD last week, he was in first time visor and that may not have the same affect today also well up in the weights having been put up 8lb in the handicap and a 6lb penalty is also gonna make this tougher and feel Divermenti may offer the some value to the favourite having been running over unsuitable trips until last time out when really showing he is in good heart finishing 3rd behind pockets pick over this course over 5f and 6f today is probably his optimum trip, again worry has to be the blinkers were on for the first time in a while last time out so hopefully they have the desired affect again. He runs off same mark today and makin on board and last won off a mark 13lb higher than this! 0.5pt win divermenti 5/2 bet365 12.40 Southwell Southwell is currently riding so you want to be on the front end of the pace and not behind and I just feel Hart of gold may well get an easy time upfront here although a relatively inexperience jockey upfront often isn’t great but Hefferman is capable and has extremely useful 5lb claim to help lighten the load in testing conditions. On a long losing run but did show he is in good heart when getting an easy time upfront last time out at lingfield and is now 12lb (17lb with jockey claim) lower than last win, biggest concern is he hasn’t been tried on fibresand before but has often run well on turf with some juice in the ground! 0.5pt e/w hart of gold 6/1 bet365 1.10 Southwell Hard to look past the top few in the market in this tight handicap with a few of these in cracking form. Autumn blades has solely been campaigned over 7f recently but has previously had a few tries over 6f and run extremely well so cant see that inconviencing him biggest concern is this career high mark but he continues to improve and may take a market check in the morning little short at mo! Harlech castle beat the consistent onceuponatime last time out and onceuponatime gets a small pull in the weights and may have a chance to reverse those placings but harlech castle remains well handicapped on old form. Xpressmaite has been running over trips that stretch his stamina but is now 6lb below last winning mark over CD but concerns that his running style may not be suited with how southwell is running at the moment with horses coming off the pace not really running a race. Green park won well at wolverhampton but never convinced on 2 starts on the fibresand. Resplendent alpha has shown signs of a return to form with a 2nd and 4th at kempton and is attractively handicapped 1lb lower than last win and has run some solid races into 2nd over cd off marks 7lb higher marks but again track not running to his style but a considerable price would see me involved in him! I am gonna side with Autumn blades who just keep finding just enough to defy his rises in handicaps and his running style should be suited by the way the track is running, just tracking the leaders. 0.5pt e/w autumn blades 7/1 sj 1.40 Southwell Wouldn’t normally get involved in claimers but angies nap is a horse I have followed over recent months having racked up a hatrick over this course, but this trip stretches her. The other 2 in the race are still maidens have shown little to suggest they are even capable of getting involved! Therefore that just leaves the extremely short lord victor who is running for the in form yard Mccabe. He beat angies nap very easily last time and hard to see that being reversed unless they decide to take the lead on angies nap but even so victor appears to see the trip out better and angies nap has only got a 1lb pull in the weights for 6 ½ lengths hard to see it reversed! 2pt win lord victor 3/10 2.40 Southwell 6 runners but a tight handicap, pawan is effective on the surface but in and out these days, argentine effective on surface and 2lb lower than last winning mark but showed little on polytrack recently but back here a threat. The tatling has a soft spot with me anyway but he ran a really bold race last time out at kempton over 5f and gets to run off same mark today but J dean isn’t riding which is a shame he gets on really well with the old boy but another useful apprentice has been found in luke morris to claim the 3lb again. He will need a strong pace but that is usually likely over this trip round here especially with wotashirtful in the lineup, although never won going fresh has finished 2nd twice and with the way the track is riding if they let him get too far in front he may prove hard to catch! 1pt win the tatling 9/4 bet365 0.25pt win Wotashirtful 4/1 sj 3.10 Southwell Not a race to get overly excited extremely weak but Transonic showed he appreciate his break when 2nd to rapid improver hint of honey last time out they were a couple lengths clear of the rest of field and gets into this race off same mark and useful claimer is able to claim a further 5lb. He often goes well round southwell with many placed efforts but winning appears to be hard sometimes but nonetheless this is weak and looks his to lose! 0.5pt win transonic 15/8 bet365

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 1.20 Southwell Best one could go well from the front and declan cannon riding really well at the moment but the deeper surface found him out last time and it may make things tougher again. Grand palace is dropping down the weights at a rapid speed but has shown that he is in good form recently and could capitalize on his low mark having finished runner up last 2 times out at lingfield. My biggest worry is last time out he never even looked like completing the race at the start last time being ridden along and getting behind and if that happened again today on this surface it would be game over so I’d be slightly wary of those tactics. He has been placed off a mark of 12lb higher than this and won off a mark 8lb higher than todays round here and hasn’t been seen here since that placed effort. Brazilian Brush ran away with a race here 3 days ago and it didn’t appear as a hard race and is sure to be race fit, he had first time blinkers on and aslong as they have the desired affect again he should go well off a 3lb higher mark, he had won off a mark of 70 as a 3yr old and now rated just 45 1pt win Brazilian brush 2/1 vcbet 0.25pt e/w Grand palace 5/1 vcbet 2.20 Southwell Hard to get away from dream in blue who was an impressive winner the other day when coming through with a decent looking run to show a decent enough turn of foot for this grade and has shown he clearly likes it round here winning a seller over CD and 3rd in handicap on penultimate start over CD and then a win last time out over 1f further, drop back in trip shouldn’t hinder and gets into this race of a very useful weight; he is carrying a 6lb penalty BUT his handicap mark has been dropped 3lb before winning that race so effectively is only carrying 3lb more than that win but Hefferman who is a decent apprentice is able to claim 5lb putting him 2lb well in on the level of form he showed the other day 1pt win Dream in blue 9/4 hills 2.50 Southwell Follow The Flag has struggled for an optimum trip having been raced over just about every trip recently but showed a likeable attitude when scoring over CD specialist Elusive Fame who gets a 2lb pull in the weights for 3/4length which may not be enough for if he has hit a rich vein of form because when he goes well he can put a string of good efforts together (and theres a massive difference in prices aswell) I keep tipping Prohibition up I am sure he is well handicapped and so is someone else having been well supported in markets before his last 2 races, he won a very decent maiden in November last year but seems to have lost his way at probably a watcher until shows some promise again. Stamina is obviously an issue round here at the moment and Mozayada has been campaigned over a mile recently so this step down to 7f may just be what she needs. He looked the all over winner last time out before finding little at the finish, went very well round here last winter and is now 2lb lower than last win round here and solid place claims at the very least. 0.5pt e/w follow the flag 9/2 bet365 0.25pt e/w mozayada 15/2 vcbet 3.20 Southwell Little makes attraction in this poor handicap but if Outer Hebrides is race fit (which is debatable in these weather conditions) he should go well with a decent 3rd place when last seen here off a 1lb higher mark and did run a decent enough 3rd when last seen 40 days ago at lingfield, he is also now 1lb lower than last win on the turf in the summer. 0.5pt win outer Hebrides 7/2 vcbet 3.50 Southwell Cant have bowmaker who is having to carry top weight in this contest, hasn’t been seen since October when romping home didn’t beat anything special and looks to have a tough mark at a rather short price. Love delta made good use of a decent enough handicap mark last time out in another weak CD handicap, he won rather easily over some opposition that were well fancied and perhaps do have some potential (non have run yet since) and a 5lb rise in the weights looks far from enough in my opinion he just looked the typical sort to progress throughout the spring. 1pt win love delta 13/8 bet365

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 Back to work for me tomorrow: 1.30 Wolverhampton Not a very special handicap and should be dictated by the front 2 in the market Kheley is a keen front runner and is long overdue a win but tends to always set the race up for a finisher, and I cant see past Diapason who was well backed last time out and his form isn’t anything special but he did show promise on penultimate start when he was forced wide throughout that was his all weather debut and appeared to have plenty left last time out and the slightly shorter trip shouldn’t inconvenience too much and could well prove to be unexposed on the AW! 2pt win Diapason 3.30 Wolverhampton A dodgy apprentice handicap with many of these in fine form, goodbye cash has been in cracking form recently but concerns with a 2lb rise in handicap and a 6lb penalty is on the harsh side. Divine force keeps catching the eye, fairly lightly raced and won with extreme ease on penultimate start at lingfield over 6f up 6lb for that and was caught off a slow pace last time out and never really able to get into it but ran on VERY strongly and useful claimer taking off 5lb. 1pt win divine force 4.00 Wolverhampton Another one of my notebook horses who again keeps catching the eye but failing to deliver, Kickahead. He has improved rapidly on the hurdle scene with a good 6th behind Danis girl in a listed event at ascot and caught the eye on comeback on the flat over cd on penultimate start and was well back last time out but again got caught short of room yet again last time out and clearly he needs the room to come through with his effort otherwise he doesn’t seem to follow through, but same jockey on board so is gonna know his quirks now hopefully. 0.5pt win kickahead 2.45 Kempton Many old rivals meet here today and a potentially hard race to call. Chjimes is now dropping down the weights but has shown little so far this winter and gives the impression 5f is a bit on the sharp side for him nowadays and would be of more interest stepped up in trip. Lithaam continues to run well but keeps finding one or 2 too good and creeping back up the weights and now requires a career best. Fromsong won nicely on penultimate start before flopping at the start last time out but atleast gets a good draw today but isn’t getting any younger. The wee chief is an interesting runner having shown improved form on his second start over 6f over this course, before fluff it all last time battling for front role and not seeing the trip out now step down to 5f could be of interest worry is there is plenty of pace in the race but gonna give him a chance. Lord of the reins is a frustrating sort and your typical sprinter who is in and out, but he does get on well round here but is still potentially well handicapped having won off a mark of 80 on the turf and rated 74 today and does have a good draw. 0.25pt e/w the wee chief 14/1 bet365 0.25pt e/w lord of the reins 11/2 bet365 3.15 Kempton Not a very special staying handicap but interesting to see Pipe has an entry in Dream Esteem did show some promise in maidens in the summer of 08 before flopping in handicap debut, hasn’t been seen for over 500 days but Pipe yard are in fantastic form and is now 10lb lower in handicap. It is also interesting to see this horse has several entries across the week (maybe quick fire follow up jobs?) and does have a good draw in stall 12. Kames park is finally showing signs of a revival having been in the doldrums for 2 years and rapidly down the weights, is still potentially very well handicapped if back to anywhere near his best having won off marks of 90 now rated just 63 and a 3lb rise for his latest win is more than fair enough. 0.25pt e/w kames park 0.5pt e/w dream esteem 4.45 Kempton Resplendant nova was ridden his typical race last time out and that didn’t suit, he needs to be out the back and presented late and these tactics do cause him not to win very often but had shown some promise in some slightly better races than this and is now 14lb lower than last win over cd. 0.5pt e/w resplendent nova 8/1 bet365

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 1.35 Lingfield Triskaidekaphobia got an extremely soft lead last time out when going fresh and ran away with the race, unlikely to get the same chance today plus not quite so fresh, up 4lb which wouldnt put her out of the frame but is even bank or bust. Bluebok continues to run to form without looking to much of a threat, he feared best of the rest of the field up against silver prelude and ten down who raced prominently all the way round, is still 3lb lower than last win and continue to run well and a little better drawn today. 0.5pt e/w bluebok 3.05 Lingfield Nothing very special lines up here but been keeping my eye on hart of gold, he likes to get to the front and did well round here on penultimate start behind the very well handicapped orangeleg, has since run an ok race at southwell but wasnt able to dictate and also his first try on fibresand, back round here and if allowed a soft lead may try to make all and certainly has solid place claims on recent efforts off the same mark, and he is 10lb lower than last win at kempton. 0.25pt e/w hart of gold 4.05 Lingfield Elusive ronnie ran a blinder at the weekend over this course in a very tough race and was 2lb over weight aswell, should be able to get the right weight today under the same jockey. That was over 7f at the weekend and had previously shown very little over 7f and back down to his preferable trip of 6f today, and has been in fine form this winter on the aw over this course. 0.5pt e/w elusive ronnie 1.20 Southwell Russian invader ran his best race for a hell of a long while when going down by a short head to surprise stable mate winner last week, the race was ran at an extremely slow time but that is how the surface is ridng so would suggest he copes with the slow surface and actually gets to run off a 5lb lower mark today and Atkinson able to claim a further 2lb aswell! Although not a winner round he has shown plenty of ability on the surface to certainly suggest he is now on an attractive mark. 0.5pt e/w russin invader (if cant get 4/1 or more 0.5pt win) 1.50 Southwell Hard to look past the favourite here, won extremely convincing over this course infront of the very useful Dart, and prior to that beat a useful enough field and on first start for new yard only found Mr plod too much which would suggest this yard have found the key to this horse and could go well under a 6lb penalty and the extra 2f certainly looks a positive move he just appears to be a real stayer! 2pt win russian music 9/4 bet365 3.50 Southwell Personally cant have the favourite, was well backed when last seen here but although some promise failed to really ignite sparks in my eyes (has come for money again tonight), and booking of in form Makin maybe having some affect! Therefore gonna take him on with Whitbarrow who ended a long run of decent efforts with a win over CD and then finished 1 length behind the very well handicapped charles parnell over 6f round here of revised mark and suggested there could be more to come and return to 7f is sure to help and a nice draw to attack from in stall 3 for a front runner. 0.5pt e/w whitbarrow 9/2 bet365

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 1.50 Lingfield Spinning Bailiwick is lightly raced and plenty of room for improvement and although slightly disappointing last time out was beat by an inform horse and a rather unknown who hasnt been seen since. Back to lingfield today sure to be in his favor and runs off same mark as last time out when still running a decent racing finishing very strongly. Divine Force is in mighty form at the moment and won nicely over CD 3 starts ago and then got caught off a slow pace next time out over CD and never got into the race but won nicely over at wolverhampton on monday over 7f in a weakish apprentice handicap and gets into this without a penalty and looks the one to beat having run very promisingly from a slow start, which he really could do without back over 6f today. 1.5pt win divine force 0.5pt win spinning bailiwick 2.25 Lingfield Goodbye cash continues to run well but made all at the weekend in a decent enough race but only got home by a neck and a 6lb penalty may just stop him winning again. Gary Moore's string arent in bad form at the moment and he brings maiden Charlie Smirke here, still a maiden but not running without promise recently in maidens and handicaps and probably a career best on penultimate start at kempton over this trip in a handicap only 3/4length behind wunder strike up a 1lb for that effort and followed that run with a decent 2nd in maiden company and should go well again from a decent draw in stall 2. 0.5pt e/w charlie smirke 3.00 Lingfield Quinsman is warranted to go well again havnt shown plenty of promise recently having stepped up in trip and switch to polytrack, he is up 5lb for a dead heat last time out with taste the wine and beating the in form sircozy, although that may be a little harsh he remains unexposed over this trip and on the polytrack. The one that appeals to me most is war of the roses who ran with plenty of promise on recent reappearance until finding little when push come to shove but likely to strip fitter now and that was also at kempton, he returned to his favourite haunting ground lingfield today, with 15 runs with 5 wins and 6 placed efforts, he is also returning here off his last winning mark! 0.5pt e/w war of the roses 8/1 bet365 0.25pt e/w quinsman 5/1 bet365 3.35 Lingfield Farleigh house was last seen on the flat at wolverhampton for Prescott has since joined a top jumping yard and won first time out over hurdles before being sent an impossible task next time out, won nicely on penultimate start on flat in a much better race and was then only just beat on final start on the flat up 4lb for that which is fair enough and hayley turner in good form at the moment and a nice draw to go from should go well if taking back to the level! 0.5pt e/w farleigh house 6/1 bet365 6.45 Kempton Decent handicap, seek the fair land was heavily backed before smashing the course record for this trip on on penultimate start also beating the in form imprimis tagula by 4 lengths, went up 8lb for that effort and was then sent off short favourite last time out to be beaten by a short head, that race wasnt run to suit with a serious lack of pace which didnt suit, likely to get a decent pace in this race with Simple Rythm in the field a confirmed speedy front runner and although up 3lb for that effort should give his runnign once more with Carson back on board again. 1pt win Seek the fair land

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 2.50 Southwell Miss bootylishes held on in grity style over cd two week in a claimer, wouldnt normally look to hard at claiming form but this looks solid, having been running on unfavourable terms and beating some decent sorts with 3 behind going on to win. Amy baker on board again and although back in handicap company she may be improving and shaped well at first try at this try trip over a mile on the fibresand. 0.25pt e/w miss bootylishes 3.20 Southwell Premier lad looks finally poised to go in here hopefully, I was convinced there was some improvement to come on his seasonal reappearance back in november but has failed lately and now looks throroughly exposed but having said that he showed he was primed for attack when staying on very strongly when left far too much to do but smaller field and a more positive ride will see him in the thick of things off same mark and makin on baord again. 1pt win premier lad 3.00 Lingfield Marmooq never really got into the race last time out but had previosuly been running well having won over cd off a 4lb lower mark, but running with credit over cd on penultimate start off this mark and this race looks a lot weaker and wouldnt need much of a bounce back to get involved here. He has a good strike rate on the AW with 10 wins and 9 places from 49 starts and is well known for getting a good string of efforts together! 0.25pt e/w marmooq 3.30 Lingfield Aeroplane has been kept busy by new contacts recently and running his races but 6f may prove far too sharp for him now and also has 6lb to find on the younger arganil! Arganil has been running with huge credit over the summer in group company and won a competitve listed event at Dundalk, he remains lightly raced for his age and could well still be improving all but 1 of his wins have came over 5f but ran with credit last time out 4 lengths off the rapid improving Jaconet. 2pt win arganil 8/11 pp 4.10 Wolverhampton Excellent Show remains unexposed on the aw, having had 2 starts beaten by lesleys choice on first start and then beat the tatling by a neck last time out only up 2lb for that effort which is on the fairly light side for a lightly raced potential improver for an inform yard Smart. Also has a nice draw from stall 5 to fit in just behind the pace hopefully. 1pt e/w excellent show 9/2 bet365 4.40 Wolverhapton Carlton Scroop has an absolute amazing record when going fresh, with 3 starts after 100+days off track with 3 wins!! Does return to the flat off a career high mark but when last seen won very easily at lingfield over 12f step upto 14f shouldnt be a problem and although up 5lb for that effort the in form Carson takes a useful 3lb off! 0.5pt e/w carlton scroop 5.10 Wolverhampton Chosen forever comes into this seeking a hatrick and gets into this at bottom weight which does meen he possibly meets tougher opposition, but this is a rather weak class 5 handicap in my opinion most of these are thoroughly exposed and showing a lack of form. He remains lightly raced and has gone from strength to strength this winter and although up 7lb for beating some in form rivals very easily and should give a bold show again even in a hotter race. 0.75pt win chosen forever 6.40 Wolverhampton Fathsta finally got the job done on penultimate start and appeared to win with plenty in hand and although his come from behind style gets him into trouble sometimes but was only up 5lb for that and was far from disgraced in the hottest handicap on the AW this winter at the weekend and Ahern returns to the saddle a massive positive as he knows this horses quirks and back to sprint trip rather than the possibly strecthing 7f he tackled at the weekend. 0.5pt win fathsta 7/2 bet365

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 3.40 Lingfield Absolute awful day of racing but atleast these last 2 races look a bit better! Jiggalong finally got off the mark on penultimate start at kempton over 2f further and had to run under a penalty on first outing at southwell, didnt run too bad today only has to carry 2lb more than that win and cant see the shorter trip causing too many problems and in a weak race she is capable of picking something up in this from a good draw. Mid wicket has improved with the switch to polytrack having finished 12th of 13 on penultimate start over this trip on handicap debut and although that sounds bad he was only just over 5 lengths off the winner in a very competitive race and then built on that last time out over this trip at Kempton finishing 2nd and gets to run off a 3lb lower mark today and is anoher warranted in a race full of exposed sorts. 0.25pt e/w mid wicket 0.25pt e/w jiggalong 4.20 Wolverhampton After the crap of the day Wolverhampton have a brilliant card and what a cracking start a very competitive 6f handicap! Im gonna go to battle with 2 in this race them being the front running Billy Red who goes extremely well when getting his own way up front, maybe not able to get that with Dvinsky, Bel Cantor, Apache Ridge and Misaor all in the lineup but was seen to good use behind Imprimis Tagula last time out when just tracking the leaders and gets to run off the same mark today and should go close with inform Craine on board. The other that attracts me is Apache Ridge for the in form train Ryan and inform jockey Callan, he is very lightly raced and improved with each of runs in the summer with a 6th and then a win in a decent enough maiden, was given a mark of 70 to work with and proved it was a workable mark with a fantastic 2nd in 6f handicap, been off track since and aslong as taking to the surface should give his running off this mark. 0.25pt e/w Billy Red 7/1 bet365 0.5pt e/w Apache Ridge 8/1 bet365 5.20 Wolverhampton Haasem is an awkward to win with and from 26 starts he has only won once, he is perhaps better on the AW than turf and was only beaten just over 2lengths on seasonal reappearance and likely to have needed the run and now he has had that run so should strip fitter running of the same mark again today and usual visor back on aswell today his come from behind style often gets him in trouble but this field is weak so if everything falls right he could perhaps capatilise on a ver attractive mark now 4lb lower than his only win at lingfield. 0.5pt e/w haasem 5.50 Wolverhampton Hart of gold is a horse that I have been following recently he likes to go from the front and has been showing some consistency again recently and up 3lb for that but has much better draw to attack from tonight and is still 7lb lower than last win and does have a CD win to his name. 0.5pt e/w hart of gold 6.50 Wolverhampton Another brilliant handicap I was convinced African Cheetah had plenty of potential in handicaps over the autumn with johnston but failed to live upto that but since changed yards and had first start on AW and won in gritty fashion up 4lb for that which is for enough but could have more to come on the polytrack and was rated as high as this in the summer and was convinced he was well ahead so maybe he can now prove that but wide draw far from ideal in such a competitve race. Inheritor is another that shapes as though he is ahead of the handicapper currently with 2 starts on the AW 1 2nd and 1 win last time out and won in good fashion even though hanging and idling towards the end but kept to the task and only gets a 3lb rise and Eaves booked again for in form yard but again the draw hasnt been kind. 0.5pt e/w Inheritor 11/2 bet365 0.25pt e/w African Cheetah 7/1 bet365 7.20 Wolverhampton Another frustrating horse lines up here in Kickahead, he kept catching the eye finishing extremely strongly on 2 prior starts to last time when he was given a more positive ride which was the undoing of him because he spent all his energy early pulling far too much, if getting the cover today and given a good hold up ride may be a massive threat. 0.25pt e/w Kickahead

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 2.10 Lingfield Charlie smirke has been running well lately over a mile but this step up trip looks a big ask in a tougher race so looks one to possibly avoid this time. The one that attracts me as Rapid city who was claimed out of a claimer for an inform yard. The evans team have a brilliant record with this sort of horse. He is clearly well have been off the track for several months and came back in a claimer to run a decent 5th and has won off a mark 10lb higher than this over CD in the past. 0.5pt e/w rapid city 8/1 bet365 3.10 Lingfield A rather disappointing line up for this Super 7 qualify condition stakes, Aeroplane has been in good form lately but is becoming a difficult character to win with it appears and will have to find something against atlantic story who looked the all out winner in the competitive handicap last week until spencer pissed about and lost the race, fingers crossed he wont mess this up in such a small lineup and has previously won in small lineups. 2pt win atlantic story 3/5 sportingbet 3.40 Lingfield 2 weeks in a row we have had 2 fascinating handicaps at lingfield! Luberon is a free going front runner, who has pulled far too hard for his own good lately and needs to sort himself out, if he can do that he is exctremely well handicapped 10lb lower than last win over this trip at kempton on polytrack and only 1lb higher than last win at york in 2008. Full toss continues to hold his form for another in form yard but holding his form is about all he is doing and is likely to find 1 or 2 a bit better handicapped again. Mafeking is another front runner and could get in a tussle with with Luberon and he tends to set his races up for a finisher and also creeping back up in the weights as a result of consistency. Rock ascot is a group1 winner in uruguay over further and over a mile. Finally back to his best when landing a handicap at Lingfield over a mile off a mark of 90, up 5lb for that and appeared to be going well at kempton over this trip until being basically pulled up last time, clearly had a problem but if back to his best again he should go well again. I too like like Baylini she often finds her form at this time of year and although winless for over 2 years now she is now dropping to a realistic mark having won off 86 and now running off 88 and has been placed off similar marks and run well enough after 177 days off the track hopefully will strip fitter and been kept in traning during another quiet spell to keep her fit and if she is she could go well sitting just behind the pace makers. 0.25pt e/w rock ascot 12/1 sj 0.5pt e/w baylini 12/1 sj

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 5.20 Wolverhampton Poor card with just the one race that interests me. Ahmedy goes well fresh having won well over CD after 902 days off the track and then flopped back on turf, but another 60+ day to freshen him back up and back on polyrack where he has only had 3 starts on the aw and maybe capable of further progress on it from a good draw in stall 2. The other that attracts me is Chalice Welcome with the brilliant Hayley Turner on board, he is seeking a hatrick today after inning over this trip at lingfield and then again at 2f shorter at lingfield beating alfie tupper by a nose up another 3lb for that effort which is fair enough but is clearly on an upward curve so hard to rule out further improvement draw has to be a concern though from stall 9. 0.5pt win chalice welcome 11/4 bet365 0.25pt e/w ahmedy 8/1 bet365

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 2.50 Wolverhampton Decent looking handicap with plenty of pace on with Came Back, Westwood and Titus Gent in the line up that is sure to suit Sarahs Art who swooped home late infront of Fantasy Fighter last time out off a strong pace and a 3lb rise in handicap looks fair and has a fantastic record on the AW with 5 wins and 6 places from 23 starts. The other that should enjoy the strong pace is Divine Force who again will enjoy coming off the pace but often mucks the start up which can cost him a few lengths but he did win well in a app. handicap last time out and looks to be improving and gets into this without a penalty. 0.75pt win divine force 0.5pt e/w Sarahs art 3.50 Wolverhampton Goodbye Cash keeps running well but has to carry a 6lb penalty for a success in a seller last week and will find this tougher. Diapason won well last time out but that race was rather week and is shoulder with a 6lb penalty for that aswell. Spinning Bailiwick has improved a hell of a lot for G Moore and was seeking 4 timer before drifting badly in market and ran an ok but met an inform rival and an unknown who showed a good attitude, but he stayed on well and remains lightly raced and a step up to 7f is certainly worth a try off the same mark and open to further improvement! 0.5pt e/w spinning bailiwick

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 2.30 Lingfield Very decent handicap for the grade and time of year with plenty of useful sorts. Farleigh house had been running very well on the AW in october and won off a mark 8lb lower but did run a very good race off a 4lb lower mark and showed clearly to still be in good heart when winning a decent looking novice hurdle and last time out was put in the deep end in a hot race but aslong as he picks up where he left off for Prescott on the AW he should have everychance to make his present felt from stall 8. Suzi spends also attracts me at the chance of going off at a slightly bigger price. She was 3 lengths behind confidentially last time out and gets a 7lb pull in the weights and although not convinced that will be turn around, she was rushed up at the start having fluffed the start, she hasnt had a chance to get going on the AW yet but does posess a very attractive strik rate with 3 wins and 6 places from 13 starts on the AW. She is now 2lb lower than last win over CD november 08 and has remained lightly raced since. 0.5pt e/w farleigh house 0.25pt e/w suzi spends 3.40 Lingfield Another decent looking handicap with many usual rivals over 5f here. Lord of the Reins has recently been classed as a kempton 'specilist' but he is 2 from 4 around here and although all those wins have come over 6f over this course however he is more of a 5f specialist and is in fine form at the moment when looking to be travelling well when being met with a lot of trouble in the home straight and unable to get the passage but even so only finished 1 1/2l behind the winner and gets to run off the same mark today and with plenty of early pace on in this race with fromsong, ten down and silver prelude in the line up the race could well be setup for a finisher! 1pt win lord of reins 6.00 Kempton Another smart looking handicap and gonna give Dens Gift another chance having only been beaten a neck on enultimate start to the useful falcativ and then again beaten by a length when pegasus again got a soft lead upfront which is dangerous for him. Dens gift is probably best sitting behind the pace just tracking it which is likely to be fought out with brouhaha and street devil, who both appear in grips of handicapper currently. Dens gift has only finished out the first 3 once and has a decent draw from stall 7. 0.75pt e/w dens gift 9/2 bet365 6.30 Kempton Tough race to call with many of these coming into this race in brilliant form, Russian music won well when seeking the hatrick last time out in slog conditions at southwell and looks open to further improvement but 10lb rise is a big ask but with yard in good form should put a big run in again. The main threat could come from Danis Girl who has improved over hurdles recently including a listed affair and plans are to have him go for some more big pots over hurdles when the ground dries up but until then he is being kept fit over the AW where he won well over CD last time out and a 7lb rise may not stop further improvement in current mood. 0.5pt win russian music 0.25pt e/w danis girl

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 12.30 Lingfield Teen Ager is a very useful sort on the AW with all 3 wins having come on the AW and at this track been off the track since the spring so fitness is a concern has previously run abmissmily when going fresh but also done well when been fresh so hard to assess (he was entered in a race a few weeks back in the snow so would suggest he has been in training a couple extra weeks could help). He last won off a mark of 58 and was then a good placed effort off a mark of 61 before being seen to less affect on turf, Jimmy quinn on board and riding with plenty of confidence at the moment. 0.25pt e/w teen ager 2.00 Lingfield Divine force won very impressively last time out infront of the well running Weet A Surprise by 1 length up 4lb and 6lb penalty but too me shapes as if he is capable of a win in the mid 70's he is rated 73 under penalty today and Witworth rides this horse well and has won round here. Grand vista takes a MASSIVE drop in grade having been contesting listed and group affairs and rich handicaps in dubai, handicapper giving him a chance dropping him 10lb from a couple disappointments on the turf in the summer and Moore stable in good shape which would suggest he is possibly dropped into a 2k handicap for a reason maybe? 0.5pt win divine force 0.25pt e/w grand vista 3.45 Lingfield Decent looking handicap for the grade with many of these holding there form well at the moment. Charlie Smirke has run out runner up spot last 3 times including over this trip at kempton and over 2f over this course last time out, so step back in trip no concern but is up 2lb for consistency and is still a maiden but having said that he has had 9 runs on the aw and been placed in 7 of them. 0.25pt e/w charlie smirke 5.05 Wolverhampton I said I would give Fareham Town one last chance last time out but looks well worth a try over 5f having travelled strongly last couple of times and looked a real threat before fading inside the final furlong or so, and only form worth talking about has came round this course and looked worse at kempton so just think might be worth a small punt back here and over the minimu trip. 0.25pt e/w fareham town 5.35 Wolverhampton Condition stakes race with a few usual suspects becoming reguarlar's in these sort of events and one catches the eye and that is aeroplane potentially well treated against many of these in the weights barring blue bajan who I have reservations about with this trip being on the short side and also better over the hurdles these days although run with some credit in the summer! But the booking of spencer on aeroplane is eye catching for the inform evans yard who will insist on using his youngster (who i dont rate) but he really needs a special spencer ride coming off the pace and finishing strongly, gotta give spencer credit he is riding very well at the moment and just fancy this step up in trip may be something he needs nowadays be interesting to see how he goes! The other that will be presented very late and finishing with great authority on the back of his last run is Mister New York he finished very very strongly and winning well in handicap company last time out and although got something to find at the weights he is proven at the trip and may be capable of more in this frame of mind. 0.5pt win aeroplane 5/2 pp 0.25pt e/w mister new york 9/2 pp

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 1.05 Lingfield Most of these have something to prove at the moment but Replendant Alpha ran a decent race on last start on polytrack at kempton over this trip, before flopping on the fibresand and therenow needs to be quetions answered as to whether he is truly suited by fibresand. He last won over CD February last year off a 7lb higher mark so is now very well handicapped. 0.25pt e/w resplendant alpha 12/1 lads 2.45 Lingfield Smart little handicap, Aeroplane is warranted to go well but this will be his 5th race this month and only raced last night and things have got to be catching up soon although looks to be enjoying himself. There isnt much pace in the race possibly carcinetto could go from the front and if he does it could well set things up for the improved Autumn Blades wo enjoys tracking a decent pace and just pulling a little more out at the line without working too hard, this is a step up in class which he now has to do having won class 4 handicaps off top weight and now rated outside those bands, he had a big ask last time out with handicap rise and penalty at southwell where he ran a very bold race and his revised mark 6lb lower than last run should see him in the thick of it and most vitally is Probert is on board he gets on very well with him. 0.5pt e/w autumn blades hills

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 2.55 Wolverhampton Poor race and certainly nothing to get excited about but this could be City High Kid's easiest task for a long time and wasnt beaten that far by a completely unexposed sort in orangeleg last time out 1lb lower today and now 9lb lower than last win and is of interest stepping back up to this trip having been mainly campaigned over 7f recently. 0.25pt e/w city high kid 4.05 Wolverhampton Monsieur Fillioux remains unexposed and shaped well alst time out first run for 135 days and sure to strip fitter for that, only had 4 runs to date and up 1lb for latest close second. Hayley on board again and riding well at the moment and has a decent draw in stall 5. 0.75pt win monsieur fillioux 4.40 Wolverhampton Weybridge light was useful on the AW last winter but failed to really do much this winter other than showing some promise on penultimate start over this CD when 3rd off a 3lb higher mark. Clearly didnt enjoy the first time visor last time out which is off today and returns to last winning mark, this is also first time out for new trainer who is in reasonable form from a select few horses. 0.5pt e/w weybridge light 5.10 Wolverhampton A lot of these have something to prove whether that be new stables, capable off current marks the list is endless for this bunch but the best of a bad bunch could be New Star who now drops to last winning mark over CD Feb 09 and although kept mainly to claimers and sellers of late when he is put into handicaps he often runs his race and he shaped sextremely well last time out in a seller over CD on his first start for over 290 days. 0.5pt win new star

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 1.20 Southwell This is porbably todays worst race on the card as far as the handicaps go today, many have questions to answer again, some starting to look hard to win with, ungenuine, first run for a while, but the one that interests me slightly is Kinigi had been holding form well and although rather more held on last 2 starts but possible excuses with penultimate round here when track was riding awful and a polytrakc run. But if still in form is likely to be in the thick of it with the track expected to ride standard again and only handicap win has come off a 2lb lower mark. 0.25pt e/w kinigi 2.20 Southwell Provost could go well having a decent start for 3 months last time out over CD and returns to last winning mark over CD but he may have to step up a little bit more to beat Bestowed who has shaped well for the inform Evans yard, he is clearly a quirky character often pulling hard but Hefferman seems to get on extremely well with him and he won extremely well last time out over CD for first time and may have more to often on this surface even up 5lb for that effort. 1pt win Bestowed 2.50 Southwell Competitive affair and should be dominated by the top few in the current market in my opinion with most of them in good heart. Aeroplane has been kept very busy for an inform yard and young Evans is on board again and it appears he doesnt ride a finish out very well which Aeroplane needs and he is yet to encounter this surface! Imprimis Tagula is a CD specialist and beat Inlgeby arch by 8 lengths when they last met and although up 12lb still a big ask if in the same mood having run a fair race in the hot super 7 handicap when last seen. 1pt win Imprimis Tagula 4/1 bet365 3.20 Southwell My Friend Fritz is the only one that may take Shadows Lengthening on for the lead, he struggled to land the odds last time out but they may just be a case of a quick 5 timer catching up with him 5 wins in 24days over CD up another 7lb and could well get an easy time up front and looks open to further improvement on this surface. Trachnitis won well last time out but 10lb rise in weights looks reasonably harsh considering how the track was riding, and profits reailty is improving but is up 4lb for a second to full toss in a rather weak handicap which looks reasonably harsh aswell. 2pt win shadows lengthening

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 1.30 Lingfield Elusive ronnie continues in good heart this winter having dead heated with Geester last time out and although they meet on same terms today but Elusive ronnie looks the one open to further improvement and far more consistent these days, only up 2lb for that dead heat and they pulled well clear of the rest of field to suggest that might not be enough for another bold show again today. Grand palace is one not to dismiss yet with a couple of good efforts prior to a slight disappointment last time out but that can be put down to the switch to fibresand and should go much better back on polytrack where he has a fantastic record on the aw with 24 places out of 55 runs with 8 of those wins and last won off a mark of 12lb higher and enough to suggest he could capatilise on that at some point. 0.25pt e/w elusive ronnie 0.25pt e/w grand palace 4.00 Lingfield Fine silk ran a bold race behind another unexposed sort in Spinning Bailiwick, that was her first start since Aug and sure to strip fitter for that and remains completely unexposed runnign off the same mark today and Atzeni on board again and aslong as building on that effort may take some stopping in this race full of exposed sorts! 1pt win fine silk 5.10 Kempton Often pays to side with in form sprinters and although legs arent getting younger on fromsong he keeps running extremely bold races off this mark winning off a mark 4lb lower and latest 2 efforts going close off this mark today and won off much higher marks in the past and if getting a patient ride just behind the likely leader thoughtsofstardom (who now looks a little high in the weights and isnt the most reliable although that can be the case with these sprinters) 0.25pt e/w fromsong 5.40 Kempton Rocket rob won extremely well last time out on comeback for new yard beating the unexposed potentially useful excellent show and only up 2lb for that effort which looks light and may well have more to offer on the aw this spring. The one that looks potentially over priced is lord of the reins, who is becoming known as a kempton speciliast, and looked extremely unlucky last time out when not getting the clearest run through but looked full of running, has a good draw again tonight and runs off same mark today and looks dangerous although never convinced in smaller fields. 0.5pt win rocket rob 11/4 bet365 1pt e/w lord of the reins 13/2 bet365 6.40 Kempton Plenty of dodgy sorts in this race but gonna take a chance with an ex Go Dolphin runner Gheed who showed what she is capable of when landing the spoils in a decent enough maiden over slightly shorter over this course, cant see this further step up in trip causing an inconvience and now she has shown she can win she may be open to further improvement as she is well bred and lightly raced. 0.5pt e/w gheed

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 4.55 Kempton Awful day of racing in my opinion cant fin anything at southwel but potentially found something in this low class 7 handicap. Royal acclamation ran a decent race in a class 7 handicap for first run for over 200 days and last won off a mark of 60 and now on a career low mark and if building on reappearance form should have a hand in this race with Hayley turner an interesting booking. The other interesting runner has to be Contented who built on his first start for over 500 days last time out when only beaten just over 2 lengths in an apprentice handicap gets to run off same mark today and now on a career low mark, having won off a 7lb higher mark overt this in feb 08. 0.25pt e/w royal acclamation 0.25pt e/w contented 5.25 Kempton Another poor class 7 handicap but this one does hold a potentially unexposed runner at the bottom of the weights in Clever Omneya, showed very little in maidens throughout the autumn months but took advantage of super low mark last time out in similar event over CD beaten just under a length by Ejeed who built on that success with another in a class 6 and aslong as he can build on that he should go well Queally an eye catching booking. 0.5pt e/w Clever Omneya 6.25 Kempton Another absolute awful race which tends to be the case in these lower class staying handicaps with hurdlers just having a run out etc. and its hard to look past Mlady Rousseur who remains lightly raced and got off the mark when last seen just over 90 days ago over CD not beating anything special but a 2lb rise more than fair and aslong as fully wound up should be the one to beat being the only possible improver in the field. 1pt win m'lady rousseur 6.55 Kempton Only 5 go to post as I write this with Chalice welcome a non runner. Eseej could be dangerous in a small field like this if getting a soft lead but isnt always the easiest ride and had a hard race at weekend but if fit and in the mood is dangerous. Quinsman is lightly raced and penny finally appears to have dropped recently with several good efforts since switched to polytrack and although up 5lb for dead heating with taste the wine looks harsh and taste the wine has hardly advertised that form since but he looks open to more improvement in a weakish event. 1pt win quinsman 7.25 Kempton Best race of the day on paper. Councellor should go close if building on seasonal reappearance and although would need a career best to take this and often needs a couple runs to reach peak fitness. Snow bay should run his race but ultimately looks suited to Southwells surface. Quick release is a quirky little character and has been in good heart this winter but will find this tougher running out of the handicap. That leaves Dens gift who keeps knocking on the door and going a little closer each time only going down by a head to audemar last time out, runs off same mark tonight and should now be hitting peak fitness again after a short break 1pt win dens gift 7/2 bet365 7.55 Kempton Another horse frustrating me slightly is The Wee Chief he won a weakish maiden over CD and has messed his chances up since with inexperiences and pulling far too hard and burning himself out, he has plenty of speed but need to learn how to use it to effect off what looks a dangerously low mark in my opinion and looks open to improvement. 0.5pt e/w the wee chief

Re: All Weather Hound Winter 09/10 1.40 Lingfield Super tough race Thunderstruck plugged on gamely from the front again last time out but will need a career best under a penalty and this looks tougher, mister green landed a gamble 2lengths ahead of december draw last time out and is probably likely to switch that form around today under a penalty especially with a light racing profile suggesting more is yet to come out of him. The other interesting runner has to be War of the Roses who is a lingfield lover with 15 runs and 5 wins and many placed efforts although never tackle this short trip around here has elsewhere and won and has now dropped 1lb from last winning mark and warranted to have needed the run last time out. 0.25pt e/w december draw 0.5pt e/w War of the Roses 3.25 Lingfield Rather weak affair but After the show wasnt beaten far last time out having been asked for effort far to late but full of running, he is on a very attractive mark right now having won off a 11lb higher mark than his current mark and Guest's horses in good form at the moment. 0.5pt e/w after the show 4.00 Lingfield Billy red is a reliable front runner who has won round here but winning from the front is tough and 6lb penalty looks a big ask round here where his winning margn last time was perhaps exaggerated by the race panned out. The interesting contender for me is Anne of Kiev who won well last time out considering she got a bad start and not the clearest passage through to winning and would suggest a 3lb rise might not be enough for a sort that clearly goes well fresher and looks very unexposed with 8 races with 2 wins and 4 seconds and looks a massive threat in a race that should be run true with Bill red in the field. 1pt e/w Anne of Kiev 6.10 Wolverhampton Pawan hasnt won for over a year but is often dropped in the deep end often overweight/out of handicap and ridden by an awful jockey/trainer combi but he could land some spoils here if his recent 2nd at southwell wasnt a fluke that was a decent field and that form should hold up well and although never been much good away from fibresand hardly gets a chance to try. The other interest is Indian Skipper who's weekend run can be forgotten about when getting knocked about on run in and eased when no chance but prior to that had been running well winning a decent handicap at kempton over 7f and dropped in deep end in a condition stakes race but nonetheless ran a bold race only 1.5l down on Arganil only 2lb higher than last win and Guests string appear to be hitting form at the moment. 0.5pt win Indian Skipper 0.5pt win Pawan 6.40 Wolverhampton Welcome approach arrives here after a short break to freshen up on the back of 2 narrow wins but looked to have saved something up his sleeve and a 3lb rise is well within his reach on previous form altough that was some years ago but 4 of his 6 victories have been round here and would suggest this is his favoured track. 0.5pt e/w welcome approach
