Beverley 27/05/09

19:20 I think in a very open race, that massive outsider Lady Lube Rye could be in with a good shot. Seems to have run a very quick race LTO, lot quicker than some of the other competitors in this field today. Sure, the ground was better for this horse than for some of it's rivals then, but it still was quick. Struggled in it's first few races but seems to have found some form. Surely odds of around 50/1 are a bit extravagant? Definitely some E/W value I think. 0.5pt EW

Re: Beverley 27/05/09 8.20 Beverley Wind Star - kept on well to win at Newcastle last time out and although back up in the weights, has ran into the places off higher in the past. The form of his Mussleburgh fourth is working out okay with Sirvino following up and Golden Penny winning since also. Versatile ground wise, gets 10f no problems, and racing as same grade as last win. TBP, 1.85 Betfair.

Re: Beverley 27/05/09 6.20 Beverley Hel's Angel - the filly has a good draw tonight and stall 15 and has shown a good level of consistency to date. Placed in four maidens over 5-7f she was off the mark at the first time of asking in handicap company last time out at Thirsk, despite the fact she didn't have the best of draws. The win also coincided with a step up to a mile, and racing over that trip again and after just a 5 lb rise she looks well treated to follow up for an inform Ann Duffield yard that are 4-21 in the past fortnight. 7/2 Bet 365, 0.5 pt 7.20 Beverley Diamond Laura - well drawn in box 15 and has shown a decent level of form to date. Chased home the useful Monsieur Chevalier on debut at Folkestone and then placed and victorious in maidens at Windsor and Wolverhampton. Both of those races have produced plenty of subsequent winners, and she ran well enough in a fillies listed race at York last time out despite the fact she wasn't able to dominate. From her draw tonight Cathy Gannon should be able to dictate matters ala Wind Flow. 12/1 SJ, 0.25 pt EW (1/4 odds, 3 places)

Re: Beverley 27/05/09 7.20 The two I've picked out in the Hilary Needler are both drawn 'low', Azif and Existentialist. Stalls 4 and 1. I've picked them on the basis of their RPR and topspeed ratings together with the stamina level of their breeding compared to previous winners of the race. All the write ups say you have to be drawn high............especially in a big field. So..........going to watch the race and see how they get on from their unfavourable draws. If either gets placed, could be a sign that they're pretty good. And if they both get thrashed............it'll be down to the draw !........:lol
