morlspin
Re: Apat Uk National At Walsall VENUE Grosvenor Casino Bentley Mill Way Walsall WS2 0LE T: 01922 645222 CAR PARKING Car parking is available at the Casino and free. DRESS CODE Clean and tidy dress is strongly recommended. No football tops, but jeans and trainers are fine! GROSVENOR REGISTRATION Will be available at the venue from 12.00pm. Players will have to register with Grosvenor Walsall prior to being able to play in this event. We actively encourage every APAT member to turn up as early as possible to complete your registration at Grosvenor reception. Players can leave the venue after registration but we encourage you to be back in your allocated seats by 2.15pm (for a 2.30pm start). It is not obligatory to be there at the start of the event. Please note that any friends or family members that wish to accompany you into the Casino will also have to complete a Casino Member Application Form. Registration is only available to individuals aged 18 years of age and older, with a valid proof of identification. IDENTIFICATION Please bring a valid Passport or Drivers License. If you do not have one of those, then a credit card AND recent utility bill will suffice. Your guests will also need to bring a similar proof of identity. If you cannot present valid identification to the Casino, you will not be allowed to enter the premises. SCHEDULE This event will run over two days. Play commences at 2.30pm sharp on both. Play is expected to finish at around 1.00am on day one. Players left in will return for a 2.30pm start on Sunday, with the final expected to finish around 10.00pm that evening. Due to the nature of tournament Poker, end of day timings are estimated. STRUCTURE The tournament structure for APAT Championship events in Season Three has been further developed to enable APAT members to gain experience of antes, which feature in all major professional Championship series. In addition, the clock has been increased to 45 minutes and the 500 / 1000 blind level has been added on day one. The structure can be viewed here. FIELD The field will be made up of 200 players plus alternates during the first two levels. PRIZES 1st: A payment of £3,500 + Engraved United Kingdom Championship Cup + Gold Medal + Grosvenor Champion Of Champions Final entry + 18 ranking points + Significant Media Exposure. The added poker entry comprises an entry to the Champion of Champions event being held at the G Casino Luton on December 5th & 6th. This event will only be open to players who have won an event on the GUKPT tour in 2009 and a select number of APAT National Amateur Champions. Grosvenor and Blue Square have provided a £100,000 prize pool for this event. 2nd: £2,250 + Silver Medal + 17 ranking points. 3rd: £1,250 + Bronze Medal + 16 ranking points. 4th to 9th: £600 each + 10 to 15 ranking points. 10th to 18th: £400 each + 1 to 9 ranking points. 19th to 20th: £400 each. Alternates will be allowed the opportunity to take part during the first two levels. An additional prize of £75 will be created as a result of each alternate who is allowed to enter. This money will be awarded to the players finishing directly outside the above prize pool, so if for example 4 alternates take part in the event, then finishing positions from 21st to 24th will each win back their buy in of £75. The alternates will be chosen from the APAT controlled reserve list started at the venue at midday on the first day of play. This may enable a small number of additional members to participate in an APAT event. Under our terms & conditions, APAT will not support deal making. This is a unique International Championship event and the onus is on every player to try their utmost to win it outright. Please note that all entrance fees will be paid out in prize money. APAT will not retain any fee for running this event for our members. The prize fund outlined above is subject to 200 paid entries at £75 per player. BUFFET A free buffet will be laid on for players on each day. PRESS Journalists from a number of Poker magazines, and a photographer will be present on both days. We hope to feature a number of images from the tournament on our website soon after the event. Cameras may also be present from a weekly poker news show on the Sky Poker Channel. By entering this tournament you accept that your image may be used in APAT TV, press and marketing campaigns. LIVE UPDATE Technology allowing, APAT intend to run a live update on the event and we will be posting player pictures and chip counts throughout the weekend. Feel free to tell your friends and family, who can follow your progress on the forum. Guests will need to register on the forum to see pictures from the event. Registration is free. HOTELS Hotels in Walsall can be located via APAT's Hotel partner LateRooms.com. Please also consider contacting your favoured Hotels directly. It is expected that most APAT members will stay in the 'Village' or 'Holiday Inn' Hotels. If you use the link above, click on the 'miles' heading to sort and find the nearest Hotels to Walsall. TERMS AND CONDITIONS Please note the event is subject to the terms & conditions of the Amateur Poker Association & Tour. CANCELLATIONS Once a seat has been sold, refunds will not be made. Players will be able to utilise the APAT Seat Exchange board to trade their seat at the face value of £75. Seat Exchange Guidelines apply. FINALLY As a member of the Amateur Poker Association, we would like you to be aware of your role in our collective responsibility to ensure that the weekend is memorable for every participant, and not just the winner at the end. We would appreciate you doing your bit to ensure that every player comes away having had the best possible tournament experience. It only remains for all of us at APAT to wish every player the best of luck in the event. Customer Services [email protected]

avongirl
Re: Apat Uk National At Walsall blonde award winner was a free seat given to best amateur or something else like that on blonde poker forum.......... I think it will be this from the APAT awards (Best Forum) Vote for the most outstanding poker community in the UK during 2008. Additional consideration should be given to the quality of content and events offered by each community and their level of coverage of APAT events. The winning community will win a free seat to an APAT Amateur National Championship event in Season Three; to be allocated at the discretion of the webmaster, subject to the terms and conditions of APAT.
