Theyr host Norwegians Brann from november have played only four Uefa Cup group matches,no league games and they can be in some good form. Everton is in great form in Premier league. For tomorow absent is Arteta,Gravesen and Pienaar but against weak(I think) Braan it's not to be some handicap. Bookies give good [email protected]. Also I try 2-2 and over. GL! And having this kind of home record in one of the most competitive leagues in the world shows their power. They have lots of support, and their dominant style of play get great as hosts. They have been in \"vacations\" for some time because of winter in Germany and they came with some bad results. They lost to Dortmund, Bochum and managed to draw with Bayern with some luck. Conclusion: They need a statement match to show they are really back in play. And with Diego and Sanogo between others, in great shape that won be tough. Well, they will face Braga. Braga has a good team, one of the top 5 squads in Portugal. But their manager is bad... Nothing to do about that. Braga are in a little crisis, having 6 games without a win, being out of the cup, etc... To turn it worst, Braga is a bad away team. But that isnt all... Their manager is going to make a change to this game that will be very good or very bad. I think it will be very bad. Well, he will put a central defender in the midfield to take on Diego. So, Braga will have something like a 4-4-2, where one of the midfielders is a central defender and the other is almost a youngster. Amazingly, Roberto Brum, their best defensive midfielder and one of the best players will be in the bench. Non sense... That midfield can be trashed by the quick midfield from Werder, and if they are in a good scoring day I can see something like a 3-0 or 3-1. Spartak haven't played much for several months, but to me this speaks for more aggressive approach, while Marseille in great form can probably get 2 on their own if need be. I saw the Bavarians somehow struggle in this Cup twice - away to Red Star and home to Bolton. They won in Belgrade 3-2, but it could have been 4-2 to the Serbs easy! As soon as the hosts levelled, both teams were cautious not to concede, both looking dangerous but not as often as you would expect in a Bayern - Werder game. Long season, high ambitions, neither team wanted to lose. It is not that Aberdeen are looking good atm, but if I HAVE to bet on this game, hosts +1,5 at 1,75 certainly sounds/looks better than 1,40. Villareal are in 3rd place in the much superior Spanish league and have quite a few talented players who should win this game. Everton Brann may be considered fortunate to get this far as they haven't really done much, but just enough to qualify for this stage of the UEFA Cup. They haven't played for awhile and now meet an in form side who are riding high in the EPL. Everton have played well in this cup competition and should win these games to advance further in the competition Werder Bremen over 2.5 Bremen are a team that likes to attack and have scored 30 goals in 10 home games in the Bundesliga. They will play their natural game which is very attack oriented and will look to have a sizeable advantage going to the return fixture in Portugal. Braga are a team who can also score and while they will be wary of the danger Bremen poses, they also know that a goal here will be a huge plus to take back for the return game. Pana on the other hand have been real tight at the back and have only conceded 1 in their last 6 league games, coincidentally to Olympiakos Pirhaeus to whom they conceded 4 in the cup 4 days later. As this is a 2 legged competition, I have a feel that Rangers with all their ability will go forward from the first whistle to grab a lead or two to settle down as they are clearly aware that it wouldn't be easy over in Greece. Pana with great players as Popodo and co forward could pose a serious thread in the counters if they were to fall behind. The over 2 priced at 1.77 looks inviting. I simply do not trust Galatasaray enough to go for the straight win. They struggled in this Cup, and it wasn't just in the games mentioned above - at Slaven Belupo ( :loon), in Greece, at Bordeaux... The Germans need a goal in the first leg and I think they will get at least one. I also saw the game vs HSV, Leverkusen have at least 3 other players who could score anytime - Barbarez, Barnetta, Schneider. What is important, in the match vs HSV they played vs the second best defense in Germany and vs team that plays counter - attacking football away with fast forwards RvV and Ivica Olic. Gala need to win with at least 2 goals margin if they want to progress, so it will be a much more open game for Bayer, exactly the kind of team one would expect to score away, even vs Gala.. Over 2,5 for me , and a small stake on Over 3 ( please see midweek bets) Good luck to everyone in Istanbul, I just hope for a high-scoring game... P.S. Must admit I wasn't right about the Over :) and I wasn't right about Galatasaray - they were very good and very unlucky - there is a great difference from what I have seen 4 months ago. You are so right.I am from Turkey and i am a galatasaray fan.We have not a good defence but in Turkey it is not problem for us but in europe they are so bad.Our Turkish national defence Servet is a potential mistake.So dont trust Galatasaray it is very risky.If you find 3.00 odd for homewin you can bet. Coach Manuel Machado said that a tie or a defeat by one goal would be a bad result for them, well who speaks like that in my opinion have some fear of the opponent, even more, because he will play with central defender Contreras possibly in midfield, why ? To play with 3 central defenders most of the game... who has chance to see the game then tell me if i´m not right about that... Bremen at home and in European games is extremely offensive, only seeing the goalposts opponent ... That almost certainly will want to take some advantage for the game in 2 nd hand here in Portugal. Marseille is going really good now with Cisse scoring alot of goals. And Spartak Moscow is a team with some problems right now so 1.91 looks really good! PSV is right now the best team in their league. I am Swedish and i know that Helsingborg will play with two 19 years old central defenders. And theese two guys have no experiece from big matches. JCtips Posted February 13, 2008 Share Posted February 13, 2008 Re: UEFA Cup (Feb 13-14) My picks for today in the UEFA Cup: Bremen-Braga Bremen is the favorite to win this round of the UEFA Cup but it shouldn't be easy as Braga is a good Portuguese team with experienced players. Braga is not in very good form lately (theyu haven't won a signle game in their last 6 with 2 losses and 4 draws) but they only had one loss that was heavy and that was away against Porto (a hard game to any team) where they had a horrible day and lost 4-0. Bremen is not in very good shape as well and between friendlies (Bundesliga was on winter break) and Bundelisga games they have 2 draws and 4 losses in their last 6. Also, they're expected to be without strikers Hugo Almeida and Sonogo. Maybe Bremen will even win, but I don't expect that to be by over 1 goal margin. My pick: away 1.5AH (Asian Handicap); Sporting-Basel Sporting is the clear favorite here but they've been far from impressive in the last couple of months and surely Basel didn't travel to Lisbon just to go sightseeing...Basel has not lost a game yet in the UEFA Cup where they only allowed 1 goal in 4 games and it was against Hamburg when they were only playing with 10 men. Also, winger Carlitos (a Portuguese under-21 International and former Benfica player) seems to be in good shape and eager to make an impression tonight. My pick: away +1AH; Good luck!
