Unfortunately I'm out of the main event but Fenner made it to day 2. It's almost 6pm here in Melbourne and they have been playing Day 2 for over 5 hours. Going to the casino now and will see if Andy is still in. I was up to 33k after the first 2 levels. Then it all started going down hill after the first break. I lost a pot after I button raised with A6 and an old slow playing player on teh BB called me with 78. Flop AJT, he checks, I bet he calls, Turn 7, he checks, I bet big he calls. River 9. He Checks, I check. He wins with straight! :( Fast forward a couple of hours later to level 7 when a similar situation arises. This time I'm short stacked. But have been trying to build my stack by winning the last couple of pots including a squeeze play from the BB for 1/3 of my stack after several limpers. Then I'm on the button and raise with K5s. Same old bloke on BB calls. Flop Kd7d7h. He checks. I c-bet, he check raises me all-in. I ask him if he called me with 78 again and he says he's tired me trying to nick his blind. That tells me there is a big chance that he has a 7 but I dwell for over 5 minutes before I decide to gamble hoping he has the flush draw or a pair to bring my stack up to over 40k. He turns over J7o and no help for me! :( Apart from the poker, everything here in Melbourne is cool. The casino is massive! See some of you at the APAT in Walsall!
