Sandown ~ 06/07/07

Recommended Posts

Re: Sandown ~ 06/07/07 5.00 - TOPARUDI - With recent Chester winner , AUREATE , looking like starting odds - on , this could be a decent EW bet. It's record on G/S - HEAVY is 3,1,0,2,2,3,2,2,3,0 so don't let the fact that it's only won on ground rated GD or G/S put you off. A 14f winner at MUSSLEBURGH 3 runs ago , the key to this one seems to be holding it up until the right time , something the the last 2 riders have been unable to do and it's ran too freely at the start of the race to be able to mount a challenge. Down 1lb from it's highest rated win of 69 to tomorrows 68 i really think if J QUINN can keep it covered up and produce it at the right time then it's liking for the ground conditions can get it into the money . :hope

Re: Sandown ~ 06/07/07 Horse Name: Regal Step Racecourse: Sandown Time: 2.40 A very impressive debut winning by 5L's at Nottingham over this trip but disappointed LTO but apparently that was due to her being in season and if handling the ground she should take all the beating. 10/3

Re: Sandown ~ 06/07/07 2.40 Cute Ass ew @14/1 Been interested in this all my life !! :lol But seriously was unlucky not to win when 2nd on soft going last time at Warwick , seeming to stumble on run to line. The winner is a good consistant performer with good form lines to a couple of Group and listed performers. Cute Ass was behind Art Advisor( 2nd Norfolk R.Ascot) on debut . Progessing nicely after two runs for an in form trainer who doesn't waste entries for his horses.

Re: Sandown ~ 06/07/07 2.05 CAPE ROYAL has the speed to lead these a merry dance & at 14/1 best odds is worth an EW of anyones money. Has a CD win here from 2 starts but normally finds a mark of 90 above him. Still think it will be in the 1-2-3 though. High draw will ensure the horse gets to the front early. In the same race, CASHEL MEAD turns out again after a run at Chester last week, thinking about it, Chester wouldnt be good for a hold up horse but Sandown is with the final climb to this horses advantage. Has a high draw also to ensure it can keep a rail position. if it gets the breaks, should go close.

Re: Sandown ~ 06/07/07 2.40 Presto Levanter, impressive course & distance winner in May on soft ground, @ 7/1 is a decent bet. Cant see the 7's lasting too long(watch it drift out to 16-1 now:lol ) 3.50 Blue Bajan after his decent effort at Ascot is rated the one to beat, im taking a chance on Topatoo, won a grp 3 race at york on soft, at 11/2 looks a decent bet.Only concern is the 6lb penalty.

Re: Sandown ~ 06/07/07 2-40 New Jersey Ok, it has a poor run LTO to put behind it, but the form before that on GS ground was impressive. Beat Art Advisor, who has since finished 2nd in the Norfolk at Royal Ascot. 5f on Soft ground should be up his street as he will stay 6f. Reunited with winning jockey Neil Callan, so big run expected. 3-50 Harland Failed to get close in the King Edward VII at Royal Ascot, but the ground may have been to quick for him there. It was also a significant step up in class competing against some english and Irish derby runners. Time before that won very easily over 10f beating a decent horse who has come out and won since, staying on strongly. So the distance should suit, and should prove more than capable of landing blow at this level

Re: Sandown ~ 06/07/07 Cape Royal must be each way value in the opener. Not badly weighted with favourite - has in fact beat the favourite on these terms and same ground conditions over course and distance, albeit in 2005.

Re: Sandown ~ 06/07/07 Great picks lads. Awesome work. :clap Had Cashel Mead and Toparudi in my shortlist for the DHRC (only put the latest tho). Need to start posting a little bit in the daily threads (or maybe not cuz probably they will all loose once I start doing that :lol).
