Sorry to be naive, just trying to understand how things are done with this system. Cheers Generally speaking, all doubles that are possible at the odds stated. However in this case I am taking some long priced horses at their SPs (Narlen, Brave Broncho, Saint Godegrand). Plus I add Il Potere.:hope

I did look at that, but it didn't fit the criteria at the time I looked. Can't remember why: probably the Betfair prices were higher then, but possibly the 10/1 wasn't available: Totesport in particular are often quite late posting their early prices. But as you say, at 10/1 it looks good at the moment.

slapdash
Re: Slapdash Systems 2007 Generally speaking' date=' all doubles that are possible at the odds stated.[/quote'] Yes. I never did anything clever choosing the doubles. Just all possible doubles where the best odds on both horses are available at the same bookie. Like SLH, I'll personally sometimes take SP or even a slightly lower early price to get a double on if there's no one bookie offering the best price on both horses, but when I was doing the EW Doubles thread it was enough work already without including those as well. I only have two books (one of which is pinny who don't have the racing) and odds for Stratford are 12/1 & 14/1 (considerably lower). Is there still value in these do you think? If the odds are that much lower, I'd bet at SP rather than taking the prices, or even better, if you can be online just before the race, check what the board prices are then, and decide whether to bet accordingly. Unfortunately I'm at work. Think they are likely to go up? Bank is a little too low at present for the extra bet on doubles so may just play each on EW singles. Bank is a little too low at present for the extra bet on doubles so may just play each on EW singles. Often in races like this with an odds on favourite and a clear second favourite, the odds on the other horses do seem to drift before the off, but there's no guarantee, of course. Well, I'd be hacked off I didn't do it and one or more of them were winners so......:hope Is the doubles part of your system a large part or more of an added bonus when one does come in?
