Betfred Premier League of Poker The race for the Premiership title is really hotting up as Chelsea and Manchester United go tit-for-tat. Here’s your chance to claim a league title of your own as the Premier League of Poker 2006/2007 launches on Friday, 22 December 2006! There are plenty of points up for grabs in our weekly tournament, which will contribute not only to your overall league position, but to the Monthly (four-weekly) Leaderboard and the chance to win a multitude of prizes! Monthly Prizes The players that have accumulated the most points over each four week period* will be awarded prizes in accordance with the table below:

Overall League Standings The Premier League of Poker will run for a total of 20 weeks, with the final tournament scheduled to take place on Friday, 4 May 2007. Following its conclusion, prizes will be awarded based on the below standings*:

*In the event of two players tied on points after each period (monthly or overall), the player that has placed highest in any previously played Premier League of Poker Tournament in that period, will be deemed the higher ranked player. $5,000 Premier League Freeroll (Date & Time TBC) This event will be hosted for the top 100 placed finishers in the overall league standings. This freezeout tournament will offer a standard payout structure paying out the final table, with a $1,500 first place prize up for grabs! Play-Off Event (Date & Time TBC) This event will be hosted for the top 10 placed finishers in the overall league standings. This single table ‘winner takes all’ tournament will award the victor a seat at a Live Event (details to be confirmed). How will the points structure work? All players entering the weekly Premier League of Poker Tournament will be awarded five points towards their league status. Further points will then be awarded based on tournament placings (click here for a detailed breakdown). The League Table will be updated following each weekly tournament, and published on this website. Tournament Details Kick-off: Friday, 22 December 2006 @ 21:00 GMT Duration: 20 Weeks (final tournament 4 May 2007) Buy-in: $5 + $0.50 NB. Betfred Poker reserve the right to alter or amend any details pertaining to this event as it deems necessary. In the event of a dispute, all decisions of the Poker Management will be final.
