Re: Super Yankee Long Shot HT/FT hi, im newish to pl & just stumbed across this when going through threads trying to catch up, & when i saw this i was gobsmacked as i quite often do a h/t f/t but insingles on bf but the bigger odds ones like away team leading at h/t & home team winning at full time or visa versa if that makes sence!?, you could do your 5 selections & throw one of these in for a heinz for good measure!!!, what a thought as these one normally have odds around 30/1!!!, one of them with only 2 others over 8 grand by my calculations!!!!!, or is it easier to win by just buying a lottery ticket!!!, sorry if i went on a bit!

Re: Super Yankee Long Shot HT/FT Hi davyboy :okIt is cetainly something to think about, there are many variations on this that you could do. As it says in the title these bets are huge longshots but i treat it as buying a lotto ticket every week after all whats £2.60 a week, plus its more fun watching the reults come in on soccer saturday :loon Good luck with your bets.

Re: Super Yankee Long Shot HT/FT hi chris , ive been following this thread for some time ,although i never actually got round to doing your bet myself .that is until i walked in my local corals shop and spotted that they actually do a coupon for the half time/full time results on a weekend. sure enough first . go picked out 7 results and permed them in 10p doubles and trbles and copped three correct -turkey money sorted ! although i dont always agree with your picks ,i still check your results on a saturday. good luck bud and keep up the work i,m sure one day it will pay off :cheers

Re: Super Yankee Long Shot HT/FT hi, interesting thought, i quite often do 2x2 yankee with the horses ie 6x2x2= 24 doubles, 4x2x2x2=32 trebles, 2x2x2x2=16 accums, i wonder if there is an online bookie who would take this for ht/ft, ie x1 & x2??. i use vc for my online betting with a minimal stake of 5p...= 72 x 5p =£3.60!!, any comments

Re: Super Yankee Long Shot HT/FT Hey muppet and davy thanks for the input it does seem very interesting and is something i might try doing a seperate bet for the 2/x. If nothing else it will keep the afternoon watching soccer saturday more interesting as im sure a lot of the bets wouldnt go in at half time a draw. Im not sure what the stats are in regards to games finishing as a draw but i think there has been quite a few so it may be profitable. I think from now I may try until the end of the season doing the 2 bets 1/x and 2/x, lets see how it goes.:ok

Re: Super Yankee Long Shot HT/FT I just had a look and it seems you could perm the 2 outcomes on each game in the same acca, although this then takes the price of the bet up quite a bit. I think its something like 40 doubles, 80 trebles, 80 four-folds and 32 five-folds for 5 matches.

Re: Super Yankee Long Shot HT/FT Ok, I might look in to combining the bets but this week im going to do 2 seperate super yankees 1/x and 2/x on the same 5 games, here goes :) lets hope for some draws:ok This Weeks Home Selections 15/12/07 West Ham v Everton 1/X @15 16/12/07 Liverpool v Man Utd 1/X @15 16/12/07 Arsenal v Chelsea 1/X @15 15/12/07 Blackpool v Stoke 1/X @15 15/12/07 Port Vale v Tranmere 1/X @15 26 bets at 0.10 = 2.60 stake This Weeks Away Selections 15/12/07 West Ham v Everton 2/X @15 16/12/07 Liverpool v Man Utd 2/X @15 16/12/07 Arsenal v Chelsea 2/X @15 15/12/07 Blackpool v Stoke 2/X @15 15/12/07 Port Vale v Tranmere 2/X @15 26 bets at 0.10 = 2.60 stake All in a super yankee bet:hope

Re: Super Yankee Long Shot HT/FT good idea chris. i would just like to flag up a few games (all available @15 with Ladbs. i have a couple of ideas for selection criteria that i would like to test this weekend. each match has been backed 1x and also 2x in groups of 5s like you do chris, with a special 31 bet (all perms including singles). my hunch is that teh first 4 set of 5 matches will throw up more results than the second. i shall reveal more if it is successful. i have backed the first set with 10p lines, but not the second. i don't intend to hijack the thread or start proofing games in the long term here, but i would like to start off an idea after these games are completed today. hope that's ok mate. :ok idea 1:

Metz v Sochaux
Catania v Udinese
Lille v St Etienne
Lazio v Juventus
Valenciennes v Auxerre
Ejido v Las Palmas
Eibar v Elche
Salamanca v Gijon
Alaves v Numancia
Atromitos v PAOK
Birmingham v Reading
Rennes v Caen
Grenoble v Montpellier
Port Vale v Tranmere
West Ham v Everton
Bristol City v Cardiff
Le Mans v Lorient
Lincoln v Barnet
Monaco v Lens
Blackpool v Stoke
idea 2:
Bury v Hereford
Blackpool v Stoke
Stirling v Queen of South
Breda v Heerenveen
Bradford v Rotherham
West Ham v Everton
Clyde v Livingston
Macclesfield v Stockport
Fulham v Newcastle
Alaves v Numancia
Metz v Sochaux
QPR v Wolves
Salamanca v Gijon
Swindon v Brighton
Fisher Athletic v Havant & W
Wolfsburg v Dortmund
Queens Park v Peterhead
Peterborough v MK Dons
Port Vale v Tranmere
Sturm Graz v SV Salzburg
based on the odds, i should get at least 1 from each section of 1x and 1 more 2x (whether or not they fall in the same lucky 5 acca or not, who knows!).

Re: Super Yankee Long Shot HT/FT Got the very same idea (1x 2x, grouped) from this thread about a year ago, did play some lines but gave it up. Always thought there was potential, though. Helluva lot of work it was placing the bets.. A big problem with these bets IMO are the minimum bet sizes, after placing all the lines you'll look at your balance and go: Umm...

Re: Super Yankee Long Shot HT/FT nothing too scientific, but not much joy with my picks earlier. i was experimenting by choosing matches that (a) the lowest draw prices on betfair (b) matches that had the smallest diff in price between the home and away price these gave me the two different lists - i think i got one from each of the 20 or 25 selections.

Re: Super Yankee Long Shot HT/FT I guess this is similar to what your trying muppet but was just wondering what some of you guys thought about perming the 1/x and 2/x in 5 games. Although the winnings would be reduced chances of hitting more winners must be increased. I think this would be the returns from 40 doubles, 80 trebles, 80 four folds and 32 five folds at 1p stakes (£2.32 total stake). 2 correct = 2.24 3 correct = 40.46 4 correct = 654.64 5 correct = 10,484.74 just something im thinking of giving a go, would like to know what other people thought.

I do this some times Chris but for 3p trebles and 2p fourfolds NO Doubles and 1p fivefolds. It is certainly something worth looking into, and willhill accept the small stakes bets.:ok

Re: Super Yankee Long Shot HT/FT Bad day Chris, Always Boxing day. Also as you keep thinking about doing combined bets, how abot picking 7 teams or even 8 Do 35x 3p treble, 35x 2p fours and 21 x 2p fives stake is = 2.17 other is 56x3p treble, 70x 2p fours and 56x 2p fives stake is = 4.20 More stake in one than the other but more chances to get some winners. But less payout on hitting 3 than as your 26 bets at 10p I sometimes do the 7 teams but i then also add 21 x 10p doubles as that gives you a profit with just 2 up This is just input and ideas that you keep looking for. But always remember you hit it once with 3 teams as you have now and in profit till the end of the season.
