RussP
EW selections for the Summer - generally based on Racing Post forecast price, will stake EW to return anywhere between 60-75pts if a winner. It will depend on how confident I am on each selection. COME WHAT AUGUSTUS (4.15 Fontwell) 4pts EW @ RPF 10/1 Although still a maiden, this is a weak race. Ran well for a long time lto and seemed to appreciate step up in trip, only weakening when hitting last 3 fences. If it can improve its jumping, it should run a big race. CELTIC STAR (4.45 Fontwell) 2.5pts EW @ RPF 20/1 Vastly overpriced for a horse that seems to produce its best around Fontwell. Very promising run on the flat 2 weeks ago will have put it spot on for this. OVERWING (4.55 Newmarket) 4pts EW @ RPF 14/1 Good run behind the impressive Rochdale lto. Stable in great form and chances enhanced with Ahern in the saddle. Stepped up to 6f for 1st time since debut and stable hoping this makes all the difference. INAMINUTE (5.25 Newmarket) 3.5pts EW @ RPF 16/1 K Burkes runners are in absolutely cracking form at present and that is almost enough to warrant a bet here. Step back up to 7f a bonus as record reads 2-5-1-1-1 on 5 runs over this trip against 4-9-6-2-2-5-8-4 over other distances. Total of 28pts staked

RussP
Re: E/W Picks for the Summer OFARABY (3.50 Redcar) 6.5pts EW @ RPF 7/1 Trainer M Jarvis in good form at present. Horse seems to be running into form with a good 1L 4th lto at Chester on ground too quick. Record on ground on the soft side of good reads 1-6-4-2-3-1-1-2-8 so, provided it can get its toe in, a good chance. ROMAN QUINTET (4.50 Leicester) 7pts EW @ RPF 6/1 Proving hard to win with but well drawn in box 1 and C/D winner (returning to the scene of its only turf win). Ran well lto, caught close home, but front 3 drew well clear. Also drop in class should help.
RussP
Re: E/W Picks for the Summer 1 more for today: PARIS HEIGHTS (2.40 Redcar) 5.5pts EW @ RPF 8/1 Trainer / Jockey have had 2 win / 3 places from just 6 runners in past 2 weeks. Loves cut in the ground and will be staying on over a trip that is plenty short enough. Weak race that shouldn't take too much winning and this one has been plying its trade at a higher level. RussP
Re: RussP's Picks - SportsPunter's E/W Punter Bad day so far but lets try MAGIC AMIGO (5.05 Sandown) 8pts EW @ RPF 6/1 R Hughes on board. On favoured going, back to best trip and racing in more realistic company. Good 3rd lto at 33/1 over trip 1f too far. Hard to keep out of frame. RussP
Re: RussP's Picks - SportsPunter's E/W Punter You've done it before Russ and you can do it again mate' date=' you'll be back.:ok[/quote'] I'm back.....Tuesdays selections are:- ARIANS LAD (3.00 Chepstow) 5pts EW @ RPF 12/1 (see '4'tune Thread) Down in class to Grade 6. Has run all its best races at Chepstow and drop back to 6f should suit on this soft ground. Been running consistently and only needs a small improvement to be involved in the shake up here. INCA SOLDIER (3.40 Redcar) 3.5pts EW @ RPF 12/1 Dropped 3lb after handicap debut. Upped in trip now to 6f having never been able to strike a blow over 5f lto, which should suit. Signs of ability and interesting jockey booking in Robert Winston. GOLDEN SQUARE (4.30 Chepstow) 5pts EW @ RPF 8/1 (see '4'tune Thread) In good heart at present following up a win 2 starts ago with a creditable 4th lto over 7f. Stepped back up to 1m (same distance as last win) and seems to have struck up a good relationship with 7lb claimer Dean Williams. Well drawn in berth 4. MINA A SALEM (6.40 Sandown) 5pts EW @ RPF 8/1 Dropped 1lb after good 3rd lto at Chester in a race 2 grades higher than this. Previously disappointed in big field but now just 11 runners should allow this horse to dominate or at least be ridden close to the pace which should be advantageous on this rain softened ground. Ryan Moore takes the ride, having ridden it once before and winning at 8/1.
