February Tournament Schedule 20:00 GMT Thursday 2nd February - $0 + $0 20:00 GMT Sunday 5th February - $1 + 10c 20:00 GMT Tuesday 7th February - $5 + 50c 20:00 GMT Thursday 9th February - $3 + 30c 20:00 GMT Sunday 12th February - $0 + $0 20:00 GMT Tuesday 14th February - $10 + $1 20:00 GMT Thursday 16th February - $3 + 30c 20:00 GMT Sunday 19th February - $1 + 10c 20:00 GMT Tuesday 21th February - $6 + 60c 20:00 GMT Thursday 23nd February - $30 + $3 20:00 GMT Sunday 26th February - $5 + 50c 20:00 GMT Tuesday 28th February - $20 + $2 Scoring System The formula for working out how many points you win for playing in each tournament is worked out using the below formula which takes in to account three factors - finishing position, number of players and tournament buy-in. Total Points per Tournament = B + [P x (1 + {N/1000})] Where B = Buy-In Points P = Place Points N = Number of Entrants Buy-InBuy-In Points$0-$41$5-$92$10-$193$20-$294$30+5Finishing Position Place Points1902653604555506487468449421040113812361334143215301628172618241922202021+0 So, if you finish 3rd in a $20 Tourney in which there were 337 entrants you would get; B + [P x (1 + {N/1000})] = 4 + [60 x {1 + (337/1000)}] = 84.22 Points

Sharpe1ne
Re: Sporting Odds Champions League Well to enter every event on here it's gonna cost $92.30c assuming prize money is going to be available in most of the tourneys(bar the freeroll it seems)there could be some good value, due to the fact that on Sporting Odds not many seem to buy into Sporting Odds OWN Tournaments directly.Taking into account the Dollar Up(154 from about 30 when it started)Tikays Tourney(both have had less than 120 entrants)and the $25000 dollar one ,I think(45 first time and about 150 last time). Time to invest me Tikay Tourny Cash.
robilaruk
Re: Sporting Odds Champions League I agree - tho the different buy in's don't make sense to me - those on a small BR can't afford the $30 and if you are a 'big money' player, do you want to play the $1 with about 500 other players? seems VERY skewed to me - great idea, but flawed I would think it would be better to keep the buy'ins the same - say $10? however, I will endeavour to play a few - but thursday are a problem for me, as I am generally poker free that night (as I play Sat thru Weds) Cheers Sharpy for the post Damo Well to enter every event on here it's gonna cost $92.30c assuming prize money is going to be available in most of the tourneys(bar the freeroll it seems)there could be some good value, due to the fact that on Sporting Odds not many seem to buy into Sporting Odds OWN Tournaments directly.Taking into account the Dollar Up(154 from about 30 when it started)Tikays Tourney(both have had less than 120 entrants)and the $25000 dollar one ,I think(45 first time and about 150 last time). morlspin
Re: Sporting Odds Champions League It must be everyone outside the top 20 got placed 21st, so basically, if your short stacked, it pays to have a go, cos your gonna finish 21st whatever happens....not bad if your ss and there are 200 people left! GaF
Re: Sporting Odds Champions League I was wondering about that - if there's no prize money, then it's just one BIG con and I won't be playing it any more.......... I was otherwise engaged last night (on Virgin - also Boss Media) so didn't play a single hand on this - and finished 18th :loon

philossify
Re: Sporting Odds Champions League Did anyone figure out if there was prize money or not? If not the points formula looks very strange - like who's gioing to bother playing in the 20 and 30 dollar tournements - only those in contention for the final prizes .... philossify
Re: Sporting Odds Champions League Happy to see the total prize pool is filled in with number of entrants times $5 - so am optimistic that this is indeed a very good value tournament - we'll see if we can get someone into a money position tonight
GaF
Re: Sporting Odds Champions League I think there is no prize money on the night - just overall - pretty crap..... Having said that - only 36 in tonight ....... I'm going to play the poker.co.uk but MIGHT enter this anyway for the points ........ numbers could drop off FAST....... morlspin
Re: Sporting Odds Champions League Im officially quitting this ridiculously shite tournament. No prize money, and no chance unless you can play every single one and spend 90 quid in the process, seems pretty silly, why not play a wpt feeder and hope for the best! philossify
Re: Sporting Odds Champions League Lets hope most of the people who gave up don't figure out its value and come back in ;) Its a really tight game - obviously everyone wants to get to points stage. stevie-p
Re: Sporting Odds Champions League i got a win in that :) money is a bonus but i like the points thing. i think its good value and a good game too. must admit i got a lucky run of cards in the middle of the game but made some good laydowns when on ft. played well when heads up and bluffed at a str8 on a 4 to board then over bet the pot when it showed 4 to again and he fell for it ...then k/k after that...if it was as easy as that all the time
GaF
Re: Sporting Odds Champions League If my maths is right - StevieP gets 95.69 pts, I get 49.89 pts and Penelopeys gets 43.64 pts. Think that puts me on about 70 pts overall......
stevie-p
Re: Sporting Odds Champions League im happy with that ...just a bit of luck needed in the freeroll and $1 entry ones and then i think its all $10+ so that should hopefully thin the fields of the atc players and give us all a chance of cashing and with a bit of luck a chance of the vegas trip
