THE % MAN
Re: Stop at a winner..... and start again! Have you looked further back than Jan 2006 %man? No Danny and you no why ,in one of your early post you warned him to be careful and so did i but he's on a buzz and with a bit of luck he will make a good profit before the rot sets in who knows but i do wish him all the luck. Sometimes you just start a system at the right time and you could go a while before it hits the rocks as most do.

THE % MAN
Re: Stop at a winner..... and start again! Last year if you followed this system it would have had a series of 6 seperate win sequences before hitting the rocks. This morn went through every race uptil Sep and in one period out of 110 bets their was only 3 winners at 4/1,4/1and 6/1 but their was a series of 15 seperate win sequences but the only trouble is the average price was about 9/2 not like the 22/1 and 12/1 that have come up since the start up of this system.Up till sep there would have been 21 times with 15 losers on the trot if you backed in races where there was only 1 runner that won last time outat odds of 3/1+.I do hope you get a good run you never know. Also the 22/1 winner you had was only because the 1st 2 took the wrong course at the last fence but thats a bit of luck for you
FleetFanatic
Re: Stop at a winner..... and start again! Will you stop picking holes? It's not my fault that two jockeys took the wrong course that day, is it? How about when the favourite in a race falls at the last fence? It's all luck. It's doesn't matter if I get long odds or only 9/2 - the staking plan is based around guaranteed profit as long as you get a winner. Every horse could be 3/1 and will still return a profit - the longer odds merely make the profit higher. I think all the time the profit increases, I will allow an extra step to allow a longer losing run - so eventually I could be allowing for a losing run of 20 or even more. The more I win, the longer I can afford to lose. If I get wiped out I don't care to be honest, as long as I don't spend any money out of my own pocket! I just want to see how long I can carry it out for......

georgej
Re: Stop at a winner..... and start again! Young Mick's had a few good runs recently, but may be getting tired. (Mug's opinion) Hope you get some good wins early on and this thread will still be going at Easter time. Don't feel you need to change your system for us. I'm sure % man is just as happy to see you beating the odds as much as i am. Long may it continue.
FleetFanatic
Re: Stop at a winner..... and start again! It was the comment about only winning because of 2 horses taking the wrong course that miffed me. Whilst true, the system would have still gone on without it. Besides, not the first time jockeys have done that and it won't be the last. Thanks for your support. Very tempted to switch to the 5/1 option but I think we'll do that if and when the 3/1 route goes belly up (which could be quite soon!) Easter is a long way off..... jason greengrass
Re: Stop at a winner..... and start again! THE % MAN
Re: Stop at a winner..... and start again! As i've said before i hope you win every day only trying to show the pitfalls and hope they never happen and i know if they win at three 3/1 you would make a profit but when a horse goes in at 12/1, 14/1 or 20/1 if you do have a losing run of 15 the loses would not be has bad. With the 22/1 winner i was just making a statement nothing personal. The only other thing i did find after April finding races with only 1 last time winner as most races had 2,3,4 or more. Look at that crap idea of mine FINDING THE SPOT because early last week i saw a claimer who had a treble thought that might be a good idea but only 1 winner from 35 but will keep going and maybe the first to the fastest 100 losers. So just keep picking the winners % MAN
FleetFanatic
Re: Stop at a winner..... and start again! You're still wrong. The moment you get a winner, at 3/1 you win everything back plus profit. Look at my staking plan - it was calculated exactly for that purpose. That is why at 5/1 the staking plan is different. All a big price does is give extra profits. The losses will be the same on a losing run no matter what. The extra profits might just keep me running a bit longer, that's all. georgej
Re: Stop at a winner..... and start again! :lol Love these late night posts. I think %man is trying to say, when it goes tits up - it won't hurt so much if you have had more winners at 12/1 rather than 3/1 Seconds out... next round
THE % MAN
Re: Stop at a winner..... and start again! I did say that if you had a 3/1 winner you would make a profit and that includes all those that lost in that sequence. Also why change something thats working and when it got past April last year their where a lot of horses that won at 7/2 to 9/2 and when a big price winner comes it will help you to keep going longer like you say.
