slapdash
Re: Slapdash systems 2006 8.00 Hamilton She's Minnie (13/2 Stan James) 10 points EW. Each way system. The favourite is around even money. We're getting 2.30 for the place, compared to a lay price of 2.08 at Betfair, with the Betfair win price also lower at 7.20. 8.00 Hamilton City for Conquest (11/1 Stan James) 10 points EW. Each way system. The favourite is around even money. We're getting 3.20 for the place, compared to a lay price of 2.82 at Betfair, with the Betfair win price also lower at 11.50. It may be better to take SP in a William Hill's shop if you get the 1/4 odds deal I mentioned in the previous post.
slapdash
Re: Slapdash systems 2006 Looks like a non-runner in the 8.00, so only 7 runners and two places paid. :\
slapdash
Re: Slapdash systems 2006 She's Minnie was placed (with a 5p Rule 4 deduction), and the other two lost. That makes a 34.56 point loss. slapdash
Re: Slapdash systems 2006 This is tempting fate, I know, but I tipped Cape Sydney this morning when 10/1 was available and the lay price for the place at Betfair was 2.30, compared to the 3.00 you would get from an EW bet at 10/1. Well, 10/1 is still available (only at William Hill, I think), with most bookies going 8/1, and some as low as 6/1. And the Betfair lay price for the place has dropped to 1.95 ... and there's quite a lot of money available at 1.95 for a place market more than 2 hours before the race. Maybe William Hill know something. But apart from that, the main danger is that this is an 8-runner race, and a non-runner would cut the race to only two places. The bookies' prices for the second favourite, Altessa (unraced), are between 4/1 and 6/1, way out of line with the Betfair price of 13/1. Am I being naive, or should I be feeling confident? slapdash
Re: Slapdash systems 2006 Cape Sydney now 10.0 to win on Betfair, and a lay price of 1.90 to place, with 10/1 still on offer at William Hill. Altessa 17.5 to win on Betfair, with the bookies still going 4/1 to 6/1. I'm confused! They say "Never look a gift horse in the mouth", but I'm wondering what's in those teeth! slapdash
Re: Slapdash systems 2006 Betfair prices on Cape Sydney seem to be dropping even more. The only thing I'm confident of is ... you'd be a fool to bet on Altessa at 4/1 with William Hill! :)

slapdash
Re: Slapdash systems 2006 Good timing Slapdash' date=' well done mate!;)[/quote'] Thanks, BH. I just realized you were referring to Sports Punter by your "good timing". Yes, I think that's enough to beat Giovanni by about a point and a half, although that's well within the margin of error of my arithmetic. But Robijas has lots of tennis bets and Randall lots of baseball bets to be settled, so I won't count my chickens yet.
