New Forum Re-Structure

Hi all!

 

You may have noticed there have been a few changes taking place on the Punters Lounge forum today. As mentioned in the We Need YOUR Input thread, we've been asking for your views on how we can improve the structure of the forum. We were fully aware that the forum had too many sections with too many sub-forums that were just confusing members. This was particularly the case with the football and sports sections.

 

To make the user experience more enjoyable, we have listened to the feedback you members have given us. We have streamlined the football section into a single thread. This will be where you post all of your football content. Whether it's about a certain competition, match day, betting type, or anything niche. You can find a thread on it or start one yourself. This has allowed us to remove dozens of competition-specific sub-forums that were clogging up space and adding to the scroll time.

 

A similar approach has been made to the sports section. A number of the minority sports that had their own sub-forums, despite low to zero traffic, such as table tennis, GAA, and rugby league will now be covered in the Other Sports and Novelty Betting sub-forum. The North American Sports of the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL have their own section.

 

Another re-structure you'll have seen is that we have disbanded the Betting Competitions section. Don't worry, the competitions are still here but we have now moved them to their relevant areas. You can find the NAP of the Day in the Racing section with the Football Tipster, Last Man Standing, and Fantasy Football now in the Football section.
Other minor changes include:

 

• Adding a Casino & Slots sub-forum. This will include reviews of online slots and casino games in the future.
• Changing the Off-Topic Chat to the PL Tavern. Think of it as your very own Punters Lounge cyber pub. Go in there, relax, and talk about whatever you want.
• Bookies Chat has been re-named Bookies - Have Your Say! We value your opinion as a betting community so we encourage you to share your views and experiences with bookmakers online.
• The introduction of The PL Winners Circle. Earn your place in this sub-forum, where we invite all of you to share your winning bet slips, celebrate victories, and inspire others to follow your tips.

 

We invite all of you to take the time to have a look around and become familiar with the new layout. We are always keen to improve the forum and rely on our community to do that.
