Man U being underdogs at home to Chelsea is quite telling in terms of their current woes. Amazon have these and the festive period games so not a bad time to do some Christmas shopping and trigger a one month Prime trial membership. Don't say I never give you owt! Given this, the Red Devils have improved in the last 5 games, conceding and scoring few goals, unlike Chelsea which conceded more goals despite a good scoring record. Historically, all the 13 matches played on Wednesday have seen more draws (8), Man U (2wins), and Chelsea (3 wins). For the coach stats, the two coaches have met twice both in the Champions League with each winning as visitors. Back then, Ten Haag was in charge of Ajax, while Pochettino was in charge of Tottenham. Overall, Villa has had a good conversion rate of 13.0 % as compared to Citizens with 13.4 %, for the season 2023/24. Given this, Villa has great form, and in the last 5 games, they have conceded few and scored more goals, in comparison to the Citizens which has conceded more goals despite a great scoring record in the last 3 games. Historically, all the 21 matches played on Wednesday have seen more wins for Man City (12), Aston Villa (4wins), and 5 draws. For the coach stats, Emery has never beaten Man City as a coach (5L) in charge of Sevilla, Arsenal, and Aston Villa. On the other hand, Pep has a good record against Aston Villa and never lost any match, winning 8 and drawing 1(1-1FT away, Villa in charge of Steven Gerald). Man City has lost 6 points in the last 3 games by drawing all and will be hoping to avoid a further loss of points or defeat at Villa Park due to the tight competition for the title race from Arsenal, Liverpool, and Aston Villa themselves. Would've needed to be 5/2 to be a system bet but he's scored in 6 of his 12 starts this season and I'm willing to go a little shorter.
