Alastair
Kevin Stott fired by Amo Racing after King Of Steel's defeat on Saturday. I think being retained jockey to that outfit will prove to be racing's equivalent of managing Watford FC with a constant turnover of jockeys. Sporting Sam
Brighton 2:20 Uncle Dick win Beat Galileo glass for most recent win and form duly franked when the Evans horse won recently. Ran very well at Salisbury when along with the field taken off heels by front running winner. Recovered to make third under this jockey. Returns to scene of previous winning run and as the only course winner uncle Dick is the one they have to beat. Has some good rivals here but there are few substitutes at Brighton for course form. It is an apprentice race, but this jockey competent. The Equaliser and yossa6133

Sporting Sam
3:05 perth A different kind win and the distance bet A different kind is twenty pounds plus clear of both his rivals and even under my nemesis jockey Brian Hughes should win comfortably. This horse carries big weights and has won readily several times and if allowed his own way out front can build up a sizeable lead. A different kind to win by three lengths plus @ 4/7 yossa6133
Sporting Sam
Galway 3:20 maiden hurdle HARLEY STREET Win aptly named as you need help backing Irish maidens. But I love these races as they are full of handicappers and subterfuge. This Joseph O’Brien runner has mark Walsh on board and has already been in a graded hurdle beaten favourite on reappearance and sets a pretty good standard up against a Mullins runner here. Sporting Sam
I should be well up but beauty to behold was given a ride that suggested the jockey was hugely confident of winning. You’ll doubtless read about that ride all over but ultimately the horse who should have won very very easily was given too much to do and just failed. Sporting Sam
Galway 4:30 seddon win a welcome back to this proficient hurdler who was winning graded races about the place last season has had a pipe opener in a flat race. Should be able to do himself justice at these weights and trainer takes another three pounds off his back with a claimer on board. I’m still laughing about the ride that horse was given at Perth half an hour ago……

Sporting Sam
Galway bumper 7:15 The flying bee win without the favourite @ 11/8 willie Mullins runners are an enigma given that the master trainer sends them to racecourse unraced and yet they still win with upwards of a stone in hand whilst the rest of the field all employ a seven pound claimer. I find that not just extraordinary but odd that no one is able to replicate his training methods. It does not happen in England Scotland or wales and no one seems to dominate the bumper game in the same fashion over here. nonetheless the flying bee ran a blinder at the festival when last seen and with a claimer on board will mount a stern challenge to Willie Mullins’ newcomer who despite not having been on track will run well without a half stone claimer. This though does at least represent a drop in class for the flyingbee and with the win without facility offering some insurance stands a decent chance here. I missed two winners by excluding a couple of races and @TheBrigadier's selection has won and seen off my hyped-up choice Laertes . Well done to the Brigadier. From tomorrow, apart from @richard-westwood's selections I will give up on singles bets and just do extra L15's I will have just one last go tonight in the 8.00 at Nc with a 1.20 pt win on Captain Dandy at 7.0. Sporting Sam
Five winners uncle Dick proved the importance of holding a course specialism by coming Back from what appeared “way off the pace”, but was in reality running to the course and distance and won easily. Ya Know Yaseff ran a superbly judged pace to get on top from two out and outstay his rival. Even Brian Hughes won for me on A different kind twice once at sp and also won the distance bet +3 actually winning by over ten. All went wrong when jockey was overcocky on A joy to behold and lost on a horse ( who had about 25 pounds in hand) with a very badly judged hold up ride. Took the rest of the evening to get my head around the ride when in the last at Newcastle Phoenix Star’s form analysis threw up lots and lots of red flags too many to mention in the build up but he dead heated at sandown with hurricane Ivor two years ago. He beat pop dancer last September. Pop dancer won at Brighton last week beating secret handsheik, who won at Brighton today. Hurricane Ivor was entered in the bold lad at the curragh yesterday but didn’t run. 1. uncle Dick 2. & 3. A Different kind (sp and winning distance) 4. Phoenix Star 20/1 5. Ya Know Yaseff the one that got away A joy to behold ( handicapper will hard pressed not to raise this one seven pounds or more!!)
