Barcelona are now on the home run for the title after 4 league wins in a row and with the club now 12 points clear at the top of 2nd placed rivals Real Madrid with just 11 league matches left to play. Atletico Madrid have also won 4 league matches in a row so they are a team to keep an eye on over the coming weeks. Back-to-back wins for Villarreal has put them back in the UEFA Champions League qualification conversation after both Real Sociedad and Real Betis suffered defeats last weekend. Elche look all but relegated at the foot of the table on just 13 points but the remaining relegation spots are being hotly contested by teams such as Espanyol, Almeria, Valencia, Real Valladolid, and Cadiz who all seem intent on not picking up positive results recently.
