Think I’ve found a good bet in the veterans chase 3.35 Sandown . Crosspark 22/1

Distance no problem along with the ground. He also runs the course very well and although has been off the track for a bit goes very well fresh . Runs off 144 having run to RPRs of 148/153/153 last year. Course RPRs are 148/148/153/153. He’s 12 now, but that’s a cracking price I think. Paying 3 places so I’ll go 2.50 ew .

Sandown 2.35

Fantastikas 8.5 3/1

Does He Know 8.25 2/1

Pic D’ Orhy 8.1 11/10

Paul Nicholls has the highest rated horse in the race with Pic D’ Orhy , but he’s stepping up to 3m for the first time. Top rated goes well fresh with jockey and trainer in form. He has Does He Know beaten on their Cheltenham form but that was a different type of race compared to this .

Cork National

Think a lot  of the prices are stingy in this i ended up with DROMORA LAD 9/1 bog 5p  although 9 's is tight enough in a race of this nature  ex winner of this should go well again i liked Glenloe but 12's to short for me for an 11yo  who has not won a chase race yet. Of the bigger priced horses i have had a  small e/w on 33/1 shot  5p bog WAITNSEE  well stuffed in this race last year but ill give it another chance today.

Just done the 12.50 at Sandown and The Cob is well clear . He’s being heavily backed as we speak. 13/2 last night now 7/2 favourite . Everything perfect for him and him and Vorashann are stepping down in class. The Cob seems better handicapped though and runs well at Sandown

Sandown 3.05

Moulins Clermont 9.22 8/1

Irish Hill 9.15 11/4

Volkova 8.65 11/1

Gipsy De Choisel 8.47 5/1

Top rated goes well fresh and won well at Sandown previously, although only wins coming in small fields. Irish Hill from the Nicholls stable and looks open to a lot more improvement . Bit of a gap to rest .

2.50 points top two

Just a tiny tickle at this race off in ten minutes.

AMAZING VICTORY

Win

Is the form horse and on a course hat trick.

Another interesting runner is

DORADO FIG

Each way

Ridden by SDS.

He has already had three barrier trial runs on him and he is an Argentinian group winner over 1600 metres. 2nd in one of the trials

Sly bet  are criminally shortest on all these races and don't give you an option to take the SP which is always higher.

They are just crossing the line now....

Unfortunately the race started six minutes ago and the rest of the horses are back in their boxes.

Dorado fig out the back and amazing victory third. Back to the drawing board....

BEAUTY ETERNAL

Win

Short priced favourite ridden by the top jockey Zac Purton.

Won easily on debut from a high stall coming through the centre of the field in eye catching style in the final furlong. Won eased down by two lengths and likely to win very easily again today hence the price. Australian bred. Gets stall 7 today.

A rare day off for me. OK Vorashann cant possibly win the 12.50 at Sandown, only ever wins at Fontwell and cant possibly perform at right hand Sandown having a record of 0/3 here, not even a place to show for his efforts, the ground is all wrong as his ideal  ground is good and its only just raceable today following an  inspection. Won a Class 2 last time out, the 2nd and 4th have come out to win Class 2 Handicaps since, still only a 6 yr old so maybe some improvement still to come. Is 2/2 for this jockey who can still claim 6lb in this Class 3 Conditional. Stuffed out of sight following another huge drift; already gone from 10/3 to 8/1, and I'll have egg on my face, won't be the first time and it won't be the last, that's why is called  gambling. Around 10 on the exchanges says to me that he is now overpriced hence the chance being taken , win and place. It's a wonderful game this horse racing game...............duly stuffed out of sight

In the 2.35 Pic Dorhy looked to big at 2.6, class horse of the  race and stable in good form, just around 2.36 now, was  running on last time so 3m could be within  his range.................non runner

2.43 at Cork see El Barra on a recovery mission and looks the class horse  here, around the 2.4 mark looks ver fair to me..........very fair indeed, won returned at a Bfsp of 3.38

Good luck today everyone .

I thought about going in on El Barra. Yesterdays short priced favourites losing put me off though . Pic D’Orhy is definitely the class horse but not sure the ground will be ideal for his first go at 3m, although he’s won on soft before.  Maybe that’s my money talking though ?

Its all about opinions ? El Barra is on the drift, not something I like see for a Mullins horse ,so you may well be right, and the distance and ground for Pic Dorhy is why he is odds against and not odds on.....Vorshan out to 12 to,good luck with yours today.

Sandown abandoned

You should have a look at some of the paying punters comments on Sandowns Twitter page , to say unhappy is an understatement albeit , jumps racing in UK is becoming a farce , too slippy , too sunny , wrong kind of grass ... blah , blah , blah .

Yep, was only thinking same earlier . It’s Soft/Heavy in cork but no issues . I can’t comment on how bad it actually is at Sandown , but there’s too many times there’s lame excuses in Britain .

Its getting ridiculous now. Racing will kill itself at this rate. They talk about reducing the fixture list, fine, great but its been significantly reduced this year anyway it seems to be every week races are abandoned for often petty reasons, Like @calva decoy says, too slippy, low sun, a bit of a puddle, wrong grass, cold rain blah blah blah, as someone who does a fair few lucky 15's it really pisses me off there is nothing worse than 3 non runners and a loser its a bookies benefit.
