Basically what I did was to back every match in a certain league to end 1-0. The trouble was at the end of last season there were not enough 1-0s so a loss was made. However I have concluded that Le Championnat which starts tonight, has a high enough percentage of 1-0s and throughout a whole season and profit could well be made if every match is backed to end 1-0 Week 1 matches, 10 points to be staked on each home team to win 1-0 (starting bank 500 points) PSG 7.20 Betfair Marseille 6.50 Bet365 Lille 6.50 Bet365 Nancy 10.50 Betfair Nantes 7.60 Betfair Nice 6.50 Betdirect Sochaux 7.0 Bet365 St Ettienne 6.50 Betdirect Strasbourg 7.0 Bet365 Le Mans 10.0 Bluesquare Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

For example, filtering out matches above certain odds, say 8/1 or higher, omitting matches where away or home team have large H/A goal difference, or their key player is the top league goal scorer. It should be possible to think of more ways, and then back test for viability. Well it could have been a worse start but after week one I am -35 points down. only Lille won 1-0. It's something i might consider but at the moment i think i'll just stick to the home 1-0s. generally over the past few seasons there hasn't been a high enough percentage of away 1-0 wins.
