Rip Darts legend Eric Bristow

So sad. Like Barney said "He WAS Darts."  

I only ever met him once on a Stan James invite to Blackpool Matchplay, and if you didn't know who he was, you would have no idea he was a 6 times World Champion. We were just trying to get a beer in the backstage part but it was closed, he came up to us and said "Guys, you can get a beer round there at that little hatch until main bar opens, but you didn't hear that from me"  

Typical Bristow. The word legend is vastly overused, but it's a perfect word to describe a man who made Darts what it is today.

Too early to go and that's when it hits people harder.  

RIP Bristow, and get yourself a cold one at the Pearly Gates.
