MCLARKE Posted October 19, 2020 Share Posted October 19, 2020 I've given up on my doubles strategy, I don't like the long losing runs, especially when I would have been in profit if I had stuck to my singles policy. My selection today is in the class 6 handicap at Wolverhampton at 8.00, using the criteria that I listed on Saturday. The selection is THUNDEROAD, not just because it is one of my favourite Bruce Springsteen tracks. It passes all the criteria apart from days since last run and as an overall AE of 1.07. £20 win bet at 7/1 with BET365. I noticed that on Saturday's ITV racing they had a section on WAX ratings, which in effect is the same as AR ratings. This indicated what poor value Ryan Moore was at Ascot which could have put you off Magical in the Champion stakes. It did however indicate that the best value jockey was Frankie, I'm sure those who backed Stradivarius and Palace Pier would disagree. Personally I don't pay too much credence to jockey statistics at particular courses, the sample data size is usually too small for my liking.
