StevieDay1983
So it has been all over the media about the confirmed and potential transfers of players to the Chinese Super League. The latest big money move appears to be dead in the water with Diego Costa seemingly not making the move east. The big question is, does this make for a positive or negative impact on world football? Keen to hear your thoughts. Personally, I think it's great to see China improve their league. It has the potential to be one of the biggest markets in global football. So if this helps to unearth a new generation of talent then that's great. However, if these transfer values have a knock-on effect for other countries then it could be another nail in the coffin of smaller clubs. Sir Puntalot
I think it's potentially good but it's got about 10 years before it even gets to MLS level. There has to be some sort of cap on what they can spend too, because those far east boys are seriously caked! StevieDay1983
StevieDay1983
Yeah, they also need to stay clear of any silly rule changes. I saw one suggested was goals scored by Chinese players count as double! Almost as bad as Marco Van Basten recommending an eradication of the offside rule!
