The battle at the bottom between Santa Cruz and America Mineiro is a fascinating one. Santa Cruz haven't won in 8 league matches and America Mineiro have lost 4 of their last 6. I actually think America Mineiro are tempting at a price of 3.90. Anyway, thought I would share some attention to the "lesser teams" in Brazil's Serie A this week! Once Gremio realized that that their title hopes had diminished, they invested all their efforts in the remaining silverware option - the Brazil Cup. Over the last few weeks, they've been saving their key players from the league games to concentrate on the cup. And it has paid dividends so far - they reached the two-legged final by eliminating Cruzeiro last week (mid-week).
