Torino V Sampdoria Sampdoria +0.75 @ 1.80 Matchbook > 5% BR There’s not much between these two sides at the moment, Sampdoria and Torino sit 3rd and 4th in the table respectively with both making good starts to the campaign. Torino have a few injury problems heading into this match, particularly with defensive players. Key centre-back Maksimovic is currently out with a broken foot, he is probably Torino’s best centre-back when it comes to dealing with opposition players who have pace and skill. Sampdoria currently have the strongest attack in Serie A, an attack which is loaded with forwards who have an abundance of pace and skill. This is exactly the kind of game where you would like to have Maksimovic playing so his absence is a big miss for Torino here imo. First choice LWB Avelar is also injured for Torino, another important player. Molinaro will probably replace him, he can be solid in the role, but he wont have the same engine as Avelar, an important factor when facing the high octane attack of Sampdoria. Elsewhere, CB Moretti and CM Gazzi are doubts for this game, we will have to wait to see if Torino can recover them in time. Sampdoria have issues at right-back with De Silvestri injured and Cassani doubtful. Portuguese youngster Pedro Pereira may start for the Blucerchiati if Cassani is out. Difficult to gauge how Pereira may perform but the absence of Torino’s LWB Avelar could help to alleviate some pressure on the Sampdoria right-back region in any case. Both these teams are on a similar level and when you factor in Torino’s defensive absences it’s hard to make a case for Sampdoria to be on such a big line here. Heading into this match I would expect Samp to be +0.50 at around 1.80 so to get +0.75 at 1.80 offers some long term value in my view. An interesting contest between two decent sides, I will get behind Samp early doors here as I like their valuation given the present circumstances.
